seat 7 8 and 9 all fold
sb completes and bb checks

flop comes 2c 6h 4c

seats 1 2 and 3 checks  seat 4 pots it $1.20 called by seat 5 and 1, seat 2and 3 fold

3 players see the Qd on the turn
seat 1 checks 4 pot bets $4.80 seat 5 rounds it up to $10 seat 1 folds seat 4 calls

river is 8s seat checks seat 5 moves in and seat 4 calls for his last $6.50


would you play either hand different is so how and why

Ok, Seat 5 played it right on the flop/turn & river...no question. Check-call / Raise / Push

Seat 4 on the other hand should have been suspicious. A pot bet with a straight already out there?....That's OK, with trips you ned to find out where you are.

But when it's called, you have to be thinking, "Do I want to bet again?", especially with out a low hand. The pot on the turn is silly, IMO.

You missed the flush draw and the boat draw. Check it, see what happens. If seat 5 doesn't bet, which he probably won't, you get another free card.

By the river, you've missed, check it down or fold to a bet!

Seat 4 shouldn't pot the flop. He's very unlikely to scoop, and it's quite possible there's a straight or A-3 that isn't going anywhere. Seat 5 should jam turn.

as seat 5 has 2.5x the max buy in and stacks seat 4 for another buy in and paullie has said that seat 5 has played the hand right do you want to pick again?

seat 4's play is poor. starting with playing the hand in the first place.

thankfully lots of players play hands like this which is why omaha hi/lo is my game of choice.

btw i think seat 5's hand was borderline playable.   in this game tight is right

i reckon i would lay this hand down to a raise so would lay it down now.  its only real high potential is a flush and though there is low potential it could also
be costly.
maybe im giving the other players too much credit. anyway flushy it would be a poor game if we all played the same way.

having 250bb is a big part of the reason its getting mucked..........at least for me. i realise i may be in the minority here.

Look at the trash hands people play in om/8 PL. The guy with A66J flops top set and takes off, even though he is in bad shape on the flop. He's totally reliant on filling up/hitting a backdoor fd AND both players staying in the pot to make any sort of profit. This is so unlikely. Even if his top set is actually good, there are many ways the nut low can blow him out of the pot and put him to a hard decision on later streets and he will have no idea if he's good or not.

A3h 5K is very playable in limit om/8, and PL you can play a wider range of hands profitably esp in position.

I would sometimes raise with this in LP to mix things up too. You can hit a lot of flops hard with a hand like that, plus it disguises the times when you raise with stuff like AA2. Here the a35 is in middle position so I like the limp too to encourage a multiway pot.
