Tighty tells me that his table tonight includes Nottingham Nick Gibson - aka Gwibbo - & Hotdog. Not seen my table draw yet.

45 minute clock for first 4 levels, then 1 hour. 10,000 starting chips.

Hello, I am indeed here and ready to go on the double start that is today.  How glad am I that Tikay drew the second flight?  Ah well, it's all covered now.  Sort of.  Going to look at the tables for some early information... other than the first exit, the structure is such that I can't forsee too many fireworks...

Except that RedDog's table been having action with JJ vs AA both making full houses, while, in another big hand, Red had AK on a K 7 x flop, was called twice for the river to bring another 7 making the other guy (Eric 'the screw' Barker) trips.  Costly...

Oi Dave! That's a real tough table I've drawn there. Any A Ali especially....... I'm in a "go for it" mood, I'm plannning to come back with plenty of chips, or not come back, & have a rest tomorrow.

Blinds are now 50 - 100. So we've been playing 45 mins. Three more 45 minute levels, then we go 1 hour levels.  I guess we will get two 1 hour levels today.

How many will survive from Flight One, has got to be the question. 106 sat down - what, 50? Remember, it's Pot Limit.

I asked that on page 1 think ill stick with my first guess of 118 coming back. R there any breaks or r they playing straight through those first few levels to get rid of as many as possible??

Red Dog back up to the 10,000 he started with - he raised with AQ and hit a  K Q 3 flop.  Then came a K, with two checks , then on the river a 3.  Red check-called the 3,000 bet the guy made on the end and we are all relieved, especially Mrs. Red.

Missing you stewart??? Not really too busy to miss anyone in particular. You will be around for the Northern Lights. Cool. Will you be number 1 on every reserve list??? I would advise you and anyone else who will be coming to the Northern Lights to book early to avoid dissappointment. Unfortunately our Expansion will not take place until after the festival so we are stuck with a 140 player maximum for this festival. In the New Year it will be bigger.

I need to explain the set up here. This is taken in the "main" cardroom. As you can see, at the back of the room (left side as you approach the cardroom) the TV Table & seating area is all set up & ready for tomorrow. Poker Zone, or Poker Channel - I forget which - are giving it the full works, & the Poker 425 boys will be here tomorrow too.

that last festivle cost me a fortune lol, should of cost maybe 2k played 1 event reserve on every other lost 5k just wating about lol the 500 was the worst busted out of the 100 rebuy with pkt AA to a guy who i got all in on a K 10 7 rainbow flop only for his KQ to make a strait lol then so pissed off went strait out with the 1500 to buy in to the 500 and the 1k in my pocket went back next day as casino openend for it to be full and 9th on reserve list for top 8 found out it was full so waited around for a cash game, only a seat in the 200 omaha , perfect i pull up 500 to have money to play with, manage to flop a dream on

We have a 5 minute break at the end of this Level, in about 20 minutes, then play through to the end of Flight One, scheduled to be about 8.50pm. Flight Two starts at 9.30pm. Grosvenor have been very efficient here, & I expect Flight Two to start on time.

Richard has promised llonde a FULL list of Chip Counts at the end of each Flight, so we will have the Flight One Overnight Chip Counts at about 9.15pm this evening.

Just saw very short stacked Tim Hills quadruple his 400 up.  He moved in preflop, it turns out having found  ac ah, which was good, especially as one of his opponents with  5d 5s bet the other ones off on the raggy flop to take the side pot.  Chip and a chair...

There's a break-ette in progress, then blinds will be 400 - 800 and after 600 - 1,200, that's it for flight One.  At least four tables are gone, and they're playing musical chairs which is numbing for someone who recognises half the field from notes like "next to beardy guy."  Ah well.  Here are some I know, and their counts:

Back with the less glamorous players themselves, and the lower room in particular, in which remain three tables. 

I saw only one reasonably big pot unfold while looking at the chips, and it was this: The flop came  9d 9c 5d.

There were three players remaining, with first to speak being big blind Andrew Norman, who checked.  The UTG caller bet 1,500, they lost the middle guy, and it came back to Andrew who raised a further 3,000.  Facing a re-raise which meant commitment of all chips, he talked to himself for a few minutes before showing (and passing)   9h ts.  The other guy showed  ks  9s, and got the pot and an earful about his preflop call...

Foxy loving the attention? You jest. We had a RIGHT job persuading her to have her pic taken. She only agreed after I said she could give me a hug & have the pic taken together. Strange, but true.

I'm away to get some more pics. I'm not sure there will be any pics during Flight Two, least, not until I exit. It's too much for 1 person to Live Update AND do pics, and Jen will be flying solo.

We are now on the last level of Flight One, so play ceases at 8.55pm approx, with Flight Two starting at 9.30pm.

Hi guys, Red here, finished the day on the respirator, 9k, spent the last level lookin for a spot to fling it in but every pot was raised before it got to me, still look on the bright side, one poor guy was drawn in flight 2, so he had a meal went to the pictures and came back to find he should have played in flight one and had been scratched

All right then - the Second Flight is just about to kick off - I was sitting having a chat with Tikay and the inimitable Lucy Rokach (as you do when surrounded by two sets of poker players swarming in and out respectively) when they noticed that everyone was taking their seats... so they've rushed off to avoid disqualification, and I will get the final counts from the first sitting when they become available.  Until then, I'll go and see who's sitting where on the New Tables.

Alan McClean just tripled up putting him on just under 30,000... probable chip leader I'd say.  He had A7, against K7 and A6, with an A K 7 flop.  There's a bit of mystery as to how the A6 got so excited, but somewhere along the line all the chips went in and Alan was the early beneficiary.

He has also apparently "had to listen to Tony Kendall telling everyone he has 37,000 chips every five minutes." 

Tikay making moves now - I hear about a button raise which got a caller and a flop of  kc 6d 4s.

Tikay made the requisite button bet, and after the guy reluctantly passed, he was shown a  6h 4d.  So he's upped his starting hand requirements, then.

Here's the Dan Samson drama of a little earlier - he had about 30k and raised in the cutoff with  jd qd.  The button called.  On the  9d td 2s flop. he bet 3,000, was raised 7,000, and moved all-in to find his caller with  7s 7c.  There was no improvement and he'd lost two thirds of his stack.  Not to worry, he's made it back to 25,000.
