I think I should have folded on the turn, but would you guys have done so? I'm still not sure...

look at the board on the flop and ask yourself what he is trying to hit.
Then check fold the turn or call a small bet on the river once club comes. Try to control the pot size when you are unsure. I wouldnt have led on the turn.

bad flat call preflop. bad bets on the turn and river. and questionable call on the river too if he weren't tagged a loose bomb because the only hand you beat is K8 really.

I would have raised preflop, a8 is easily good enough for this. Flop is fine, i would have check called the turn personally and called a small river bet, exercising pot control with a good but non-nut hand. As played I would have check called the river allowing worse hands to bluff at it, once raised on the river your beat no doubt and you should have let go.

That's what I was thinking, but this guy was willing to call with any 2 cards preflop, and I wasn't happy with raising and not hitting. I should have checked the turn and folded to the raise on the river, it's as simple as that.

Finish reading the post. I raise 4xBB, thats 1/6 of my stack. I dont hit, hes gonna bet as hes LAG, and has the chips to do so, and that's 1/6 down the drain.

If you are not raising pre flop, you are giving the aggression to him.

From what you say about him, he is not passing to ANY bet once he see's this flop.

I am checking the turn, and only calling a small bet - folding to a big bet on the river
