I wouldn't worry, I would imagine that all the alternates will get a seat to play.

The way it's done is that members who are registered before the announcement of the blonde Bash are given priority.  They can put their names down, and until the 1 October, they get priority over the new sign-ups (such as yourself).  Once we reach the 1 October, and assuming the 200 capacity hasn't been reached (which I don't think it will), the alternates will be allocated the seats in order that they were added to the list.  So you'll know on the 1 October if you have a place or not.

In other words, don't worry - you'll be playing (most probably).
