Title: Pokerstars.com London EPT: Day 2 - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on September 27, 2007, 03:45:40 AM Greeting blondeites, I won't bore you for too long, just quickly say good luck to anyone who I can nip on the final day, I hope you win as much as possible. For those who are tighties, then I hope you get Aces busted and hit the bricks early doors.
Of course, Day 2 sees both Day 1ers being pooled together to create a final field 142 players, of which will be whittled down to 1 all mighty King of Kings. Currently seated in that throne is Frenchman come England resider, Nicolas Levi. A blondeite and known to myself as the 'Hatpimp' due to his er... preference for all hats pimp-like, Nicolas is a highly talented young player and a top bloke to boot. He plays high stakes cash games online but can't resist the odd live comp where he has experienced mixed results, his biggest win coming in last year's Dormund EPT where he took home €85,700 for a highly commendable 7th place finish. More recently, Nicolas cashed in the WSOPE for over 30k, so is clearly in decent form and certainly a worthy contendor for the title of London EPT champ. As always, if you have any requests from the list below, then we'll do our best to track them down and add them to our updates - please don't hesitate to give us a shout. Similarly, do remember that this isn't your normal live update; if you want to offer some support for one or more of the players, whatever their nationality, then you're more than welcome to use this thread as your stomping ground. would be grand if you could keep me updated on both my boys Levi and Mattern ...! (Even though I have a feeling you won't need to remember to write about Levi this time, it'll just come naturally... !). I'm coming over to the Vic around 6pm but would love to stay informed throughout the day while at work ... ;) Thanks in advance for the great job as usual. G P.s. They left you reporting all on your own this time Snoop? ;) Title: Re: Pokerstars.com London EPT: Day 2 - Interactive Post by: coral and becky on September 27, 2007, 09:44:18 AM Updates on John Murphy again today would be great, thanks!

Morning/Afternoon to you all. I shall endevour to keep an eye out or two for your requests so don't worry. I'm flying solo for a little bit because Parky Snoops is interviewing Gavin Griffin & Daniel Negreanu as we speak. Just some closures from last night to report, Noah Boaken was taken out in the last hour by the Kings of Patrik Antonious. Stuart Fox lost a big pot (but is still in at least with 13,600) very late on, He reraised a raise from his neighbour Carlo Citone upto 6k but Carlo went all in for 28K or so. Stuart called with AK and was enamored by the AQ of Carlo, that was until a Q hit on the river!! His room sharer Chris Sokrati is holding up the bottom half of the players list today with 6,400 but he can easily make a comeback ;) I snook by just now and took Parky Snoops in action with Gavin Griffin: (http://www.blondepoker.com/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=1539&g2_serialNumber=1) (http://www.blondepoker.com/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=1541&g2_serialNumber=1) Sure Snoopy only started writing as I took this LOL Title: Re: Pokerstars.com London EPT: Day 2 - Interactive Post by: Chili on September 27, 2007, 01:05:55 PM Looks Like 142 players have made it to Day2 and I reckon they will kick off about 1.30pm which has been the norm last couple of days. Why don't we take a shufty at the prize money on offer to the lucky/skillfull last 32.

He speaks faster than the guy who used to do the Micro Machines advert, so plenty of material for a future article. As I was on my way back, the players were still mingling around the bar area sizing each other up, Foxy and Soxy sizing the bar, but I reckon they've probably started by now so I'm going to nip down to grab a few of those double ups/exits that usually incur at lightning pace when you pool two Day 1's together.

Title: Re: Pokerstars.com London EPT: Day 2 - Interactive Post by: Chili on September 27, 2007, 01:54:13 PM I caught 2 first hands of the day and 2 double ups for the shorties. First one was Liz (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1088) Lieu (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1088) who facing a raise, moved all in for her 10,600 with Qd Qh. She was called by Samir Shaktoor's Ac Qs. No surprises and a great start for lovely Liz, btw whilst I was earwigging at her table, Liz was asked by Levi if she was paid in for this event and she said no, she had to buy in herself. I like to know little things like that, the things you daren't ask but are so glad when someone else asks for you.
The second first hand double was Chris "Soxy" Sokrati. Not wanting to appear like the black widow by his side, I did think he might be making moves with his paltry 6,400 early doors. Dennis Bjerregaard raised to 2,200 and Chris pushed right after him. He reluctantly called the remaining 4K and on their backs, Ahrt 6c for Dennis and Aspades Qh for Soxy. There were no dodgy sixes on board and Chris doubles through. Stuart (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=420) Nash (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=420) passed A10 I saw and mumbled that he would have been in trouble. It is official that 142 players started and the average stack is 27,600. There has been a colossal pot already for Chris (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=504) Moneymaker (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=504), starting the day close to the top with 79,700, he clashed with Age (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=456) Spets (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=456) who started with 50,800. I do not know exact details other than Moneymaker flopped trip 2's and Spets had AA. All their chips ended up in the middle and Moneymaker even hit the "rub it in" last 2 on the river for quads. Age (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=456) Spets (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=456) is now OUT and Moneymaker chip daddy already with over 120,000. The Swede still short though.

Title: Re: Pokerstars.com London EPT: Day 2 - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on September 27, 2007, 02:15:00 PM Whilst Stuart Nash ambushed the crossword on his paper as if playing a £10 freezeout, Ian Woodey was getting jiggy on an 8h Js 4d Flop by betting 4.6k. However, Scandieboy was getting even jiggier, pushing over the top for an extra 8.1k. Realising that this would be a big hit if he lost, Ian understandably took his time to insure he made the correct decision before calling and showing Kc Jc. Scandieboy turned over 9s 9h, which failed to improve on the 8s Turn and 6c River.
On a sidenote, I was chatting to Ian prior to the hand and learned that the Lodononer has always been a winner at poker and was playing cards long before he won the Million pounds on TFI Friday. "I've always been big on poker," he said. "I used to work the market before poker, but I always though I could do it full time." With the 'u' neighbouring the 'i' on the keyboard and Doug the more common name to us ignorant Englishers, you can possibly allow Pokerstars this slip up. But whatever the player listings say, there is now a black line firmly bisecting his name in two, the plucky Welsh qualifier joining Flushy at the bar and reluctantly explaining with a slight red blemish in his cheeks, "I thought he had bollox, I was wrong." Still hesitant to explain in detail, Doig added, "I had top pair and thought he was at it, but he wasn't, he hit trips."

Title: Re: Pokerstars.com London EPT: Day 2 - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on September 27, 2007, 04:10:38 PM THE SWEDE FEED:
Fuat Can has taken a slight hit courtesy of GUKPT finalist Warren Wooldige, the red-shirted ginger bearded Poker Verdicter triumphing in a strenuous pre-flop raising war that saw his stack rise to 50k, and the Swede's drop to the same amount. Meanwhile, Jon Lundberg, who has yet to really climb the ladder to anything sizable, is still struggling with 18k. It could be worse though, he was down to 7k at one point, but stumbled upon top pair with T-3 on a T-6-4 and pushed over the top of a 3k bet. It was an extra 8k for his opponent to call, so he was probably a little surprised to be paid off by Pocket Deuces. During the break, I also managed to catch up with Magnus Cornmark, who, unlike the aforementioned Swedes, will be watching from the sidelines when they return. His tale of woe involved a pair of a pair of Aces (Nope, that's not a typo). The first time he raised it up with the bullets, but couldn only win the blinds. The next time he saw them, they were in the hands of someone else and it was the very next hand. Magnus had a strong holding himself with A-K, but when his opponent swiftly called his over the top push and showed the American Airlines, he knew he was in trouble. No help from the felt and he was a gonna. Title: Re: Pokerstars.com London EPT: Day 2 - Interactive Post by: gasman on September 27, 2007, 04:13:24 PM How's Javed Abrahams getting on? Firstly, the last hand before the break Eric Friberg from Stockholm saw the Swede take out 2 players.
Torbjorn Jonson raised UTG, Eric Friberg flat calls. Onto Tony Phillips who goes all in for about 45K, Jonson goes all in too for less and Friberg also makes the call. A high stakes cash game player at his local stomping ground at the Aviation Club in Paris, Lellouche is currently on 196k after eliminating a rather bitter Stig Rasmussen of Denmark. Entering a pre-flop raising war with Ahrt Ks, Lellouche's initial raise was re-raised by Stig after a bizarrely long dwell that resulted in Nicolas Levi calling the clock. The action returned to Lellouche who then announced all-in.
"This is a tough one," said Stig, "but I call," pushing in what looked to be around 40 odd thousand in chips and showing, to the surprise of the table, Ac Ts. A 6s 6d Js 5c 7c bord later and that was all she wrote for Stig, the Danish giant seemingly surprised by Lellouche's play with the Big Slick. Title: Re: Pokerstars.com London EPT: Day 2 - Interactive Post by: tikay on September 27, 2007, 09:01:43 PM snoops, Chili - another GREAT Update, well done.
I fancy Anthony Lellouche to go deep in this, he's one of the few Frenchman I've ever liked, & he has a terrificly aggressive raising game, very similar to Richard Gryko. Title: Re: Pokerstars.com London EPT: Day 2 - Interactive Post by: Chili on September 27, 2007, 09:07:31 PM That is it, they have reached 40 and I believe Liam Flood may have been the 41st exit. Again, same as last night, last hand of the night a gigantic pot erups on table big stack. It started with Liam Flood raising up to 7,200 with Surinder Sunar smooth calling on the button and Eric Friberg also calling in the big blind. The flop came
9s 4c 8s Eric checked, Liam Flood went all in for about 60k, which was only called by Surinder and resulted in Eric Friberg going all in for his entire 170,000. Surinder INSTA calls and the cards are all turned over. Liam Flood Aspades Ks Surinder Sunar 9d 9h Eric Friberg 4h 4s The turn & river are complete blanks and an amazing pot for Surinder to scoop with better set. Liam Flood was knocked out but Eric was left with a paltry 7,000. Surinder has finished the night with a chip tastic 403,400.. Title: Re: Pokerstars.com London EPT: Day 2 - Interactive Post by: Chili on September 27, 2007, 09:11:07 PM Stuart ... ? Please ... He finished the night on 125,100. The full list is being typed up as we speak so I'd say it will be with us in about 15 mins.. Title: Re: Pokerstars.com London EPT: Day 2 - Interactive Post by: Chili on September 27, 2007, 09:12:42 PM Is Paul (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1229) Lecky (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1229) and Marty (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=656) Smyth (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=656) still in? Sorry Micko they are both OUT Title: Re: Pokerstars.com London EPT: Day 2 - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on September 27, 2007, 09:12:54 PM Ian Crapper Cox has finished the day happy with 70,600 chips. I caught up with young Ian post final whilst: "Not too many big hands, went down to 40k, back up to 60k, and now 70k. Haven't really come across any good players today, had Negreanu and Liz Lieu yesterday, they're rubbish. In fact, everyone's rubbish," he jokes. Title: Re: Pokerstars.com London EPT: Day 2 - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on September 27, 2007, 09:17:23 PM I also grabbed a quick word with Richard (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=367) Ashby (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=367) near the end. Like Ian, Chufty never really enjoyed the highs of a big stack, and on just 26k he'll be looking for a late surge tomorrow.
Talking of shortstacks, Marc (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=257) Goodwin (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=257) must be the shortest of the shorties with just 9 chips, but luckily it's quality over quality with the majority of those chips being brown 5k ones giving him a total of 51k. Title: Re: Pokerstars.com London EPT: Day 2 - Interactive Post by: snoopy1239 on September 27, 2007, 09:22:33 PM Swansea's Martyn Reeve has 82,100. After hovering around 50k for most of the day, he dropped down to 35k at one before doubling up and is now on 82,100.
Title: Re: Pokerstars.com London EPT: Day 2 - Interactive Post by: Chili on September 27, 2007, 09:29:02 PM Surrinder was funny whilst his chips were being counted at the end. Naturally he was in high spirits after the hand and someone commented
"Well, he does have a voice after all!" I said that "you did lose some of your chip lead before this hand, well you got them back now!" so Surinder starts saying "no, no I loaned out my chip lead for 5 mins only thats all, I am the Chip leader!" It was like he had won the EPT already all around him, every one shaking his hand and wanting to talk to him. I for one would love it if he won this baby. Title: Re: Pokerstars.com London EPT: Day 2 - Interactive Post by: Chili on September 27, 2007, 09:36:21 PM Here we are, top 40 left that return for a 1pm start tomorrow. Day 3 starts at 1pm tomorrow, be there or be square... if you dare... Title: Re: Pokerstars.com London EPT: Day 2 - Interactive Post by: NoflopsHomer on September 27, 2007, 10:47:46 PM Moneymaker the only American left...Slightly surprising.
Mehmet Cinar still in...Very surprising. Javed Abrahams I think is the only player who cashed in Barcelona still in the tournament. Obviously he's got a lot of game... Think he's been given loads of unfair stick after his win in the wsop. He never asked for all the fame he recieved and because of him, as the major catylst to the poker boom, many people have taken up poker as a career and have improved their lifestyles and standard of living. Plus, think of all the fish's the boom created who are donating on a regular basis. GL moneymaker

The latter dominates the London medium/small buy-in circuit and it's a matter of time before he has a huge cash. He gets some really rubbish stick from the American railers. Once we had a long chat in a 55 sit and go because the other bigger tables were taking time to fill. I personaly like him and while he doesnt have the online credentials of a pearljammer, Andy Mc Leod or Bax I still rate him as a player and a bloke. I will rail Money and the Kiwi boy still left in ...
