Post by: snoopy1239 on November 01, 2007, 01:03:15 AM
Hi folks and welcome to Day 2 of this year's Pokerstars.com EPT. I'm totally whacked at the moment so will be hopefully be tucked up in bed sharpish. Until tomorrow, toodle pip

Please note the guy in bold above:

Runar   Runarsson

 ;D rotflmfao ;D

His name has caused much hilarity in the press room bless him.  The guy was made to play poker, and indeed had great success early this year coming second in the Grand Prix de Paris winning 224,480 euros.

Howdy Ho, good people of blonde, and welcome to what should be a sizzling day of poker fun and frolics. The big news in the press room - well, for them anyhow - is that blondeite running buddies Paul (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=325) Gourlay (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=325) and Ash (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=38) Hussain (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=38) are seated next door to each other. Bamboozled by what was a random draw, the two Northerners try to work out the odds on this occurring, and I think they came up with 45 to 1 in the end. I'm not sure how accurate that ratio is though.

In other news, Dave (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=95) Colclough (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=95) will be keen to impress this week and prove his worth with any potential sponsors. He's running very well at the moment and is in with a great shout, but he may also consider accruing a secretary to organise his poker activities as we received a text earlier this morning requesting time of kick-off. The temptation to give an incorrect time was overwhelming.

Speaking of the old guard, how the heck did Liam (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=638) Flood (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=638) go from shortstack to second in chips at the speed of a fart? Ireland's Mike (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=670) Lacey (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=670) didn't seem too surprised, simply adding, "That's Liam". Maybe there's life in the ol dog yet...

Finally, many thanks to Danny McHugh and the rest of the Mayo Mob for donning the blondepoker logo. It's very much appreciated and we hope to see you guys further down the line, perhaps at the Irish Poker Open next year.

Thomas Kremser has announced those mortal poker words and we have action (at some point soon I'm sure).  The structure of today is that we shall either play down to the money, which is 24, or to 8 levels whichever comes first.

I whipped out the blonde camera and demanded I get TheReader23's boys all together for a group hug.

The moment I located Arnaud Mattern, I witness a much blessed double up.  I arrived with all the chips in the middle and Arnaud holding AJ & Marcel Baran holding AQ.  The glorious board for Arnaud came out:

 Ac Js Th 9s 2d

To give Arnaud a stack of about 38,000 early doors.

I'm afraid the last time I looked, Mike was yet to take his seat, which, incidentally, is next to top European pro, Dave Colclough (pictured below).

Still, if you're not at the table, at least you can't be eliminated, which is what has happened to flying Fin Juha Helppi, last spotted hanging around the foray chatting on his mobile phone.

Just as I watched Mattern double up, I swung around and directly behind me was Ian Cox announcing "I call!"  Mateyboy went all in for about 30,000 on a flop of:

 7c Jd 8c

Mateyboy  Th Ts
Ian Cox   Kc Kh

the next two cards were harmless enough for Ian and he adds to his stack for a total circa 80,000.

Uncharacteristically for EPTs, and this is possibly a credit to either the structure or the 15k starting stack, we haven't witnessed the usual flurry of exits that seem to occur during the first level of Day 2s. What we have seen, however, are some mighty big pots and some seemingly brave all-ins. One of those was from Andrew Grimason, who, facing a bet of 10,450 on a Ks 7h 3h Flop, was forced into the think tank by table neighbour Kevin Vreeswijk. Puffing his cheeks out and casually listening to his ipod, Kevin turned to his opponent and looked him straight in the eyes, but it would appear that this confidence was a mere facade as Grimason opted to move all-in before adopting a rigid hands on chin posture.

Kevin quickly folded, leaving Andrew to breath out a deep sigh of relief and thank the Heavens for the fold, although, of course, this could have been a cover up for a bigger hand.

"Show us the bluff!" commanded Paul Gourlay.

I think from the pictures and the expression on their faces you can tell who's who.

American Brandon Schaefer is also heading in the right direction. He was all-in on a Ks Jh Jd 6s 9h board, leaving the unusually named Ziad Kaady (where does that name originate from?!) with what appeared to be a tricky decision. He did eventually fold, but it was a nice pot and one that Brandon was in desperate need of.

Nicolas Levi is OUT, he found himself down to 10,000 and in the big blind facing a raise to 1,600 from Dutchman Van Der Berg. Levi made the call and saw a flop

 Ahrt 5d 3c  check, check

Turn  3h  Thierry bet 2,200, Levi made the call "thought he was at it" said Levi.

River  Ad

Levi put in his remaing chips to try and take the pot with a missed flush but Thierry held  Aspades Tc for the full house!

Florian Langmann who made the final this year at EPT London is also OUT.  His chips going in the direction of Cypriot Phidias Georgiou who also went very deep in the London leg of this tour.

As Daniel Ryan is spotted exiting stage left, Ian Woodley also catches my eye. The mouthy Londoner isn't someone who wouldn't normally go unnoticed, but I must confess to forgetting he even existed in the comp. "Oh that's great that is," he moans. "I'll try and make your job easier than, shall I, and get myself knocked out."

On a more serious note, Woodley continued, "I haven't seen much in the way of hands, so am below my starting stack for today. Just took the blinds once, that was it."

We can now confirm that Mike McDonald has now taken his seat, but has yet to really see a change in his chip stack. If anything, he's dipped down slightly, his call of Dave Colclough's 2k pre-flop raise leading to a fold from both players when Spaniard Jose Luis Picazo Collado made it 8k from late position.

Speaking of Mike McDonald and Dave Colclough, the rest of their table have gone all antsy in their pantsy leading to a three way pot with two players all-in before the flop. It was a rather simple procedure in the end, the shortstack pushing with A-4, Tommi Linfors (pictured) re-raising with A-J before being called all-in by  fellow Fin Sami Kalopuro in the next seat with A-K.

Although the Big Slick was in good shape, it wasn't enough against the A-J of Tommi which hit three pair (if that was a legal poker hand) on a J-9-9-8-8 board. As a result, Sami is sent to the sidelines leaving Tommi with 80k in chips and a smile as wide as Paul Daniels' face.

Funny you should say that Kin, I should just pull up a chair next to Ian Cox and watch him rake in the chips.  He must have close to 100,000 now as I just saw him stacking up more chips.

"What happened Ian?"

"Well there was a raise and a reraise, and I looked down at Aces"

He runs good, his opponent was Phillip Hardy who had Kings.  Ian shrugs, smiles and stacks his towers higher.

A few chippy chip counts that you might be interested in:

Annette Obrestad -- 36,000
Richard Ashby -- 14,400
Jonothon Butters -- 39,000
Martin Green -- 19,300
Ben Grundy -- 17,800
Ian Cox -- 107,000
Len Collin -- 7,500
Arnaud Mattern -- 36,200
Josh Gould -- 41,800
Dave Colclough -- 64,100
Mike McDonald -- 59,100
Ash Hussain -- 43,300
Paul Gourlay -- 17,300

It looks like Nicolas Levi and Chris Bush are gone, although I need to double check the latter of those two.

Ben Grundy has gone, he lost a lot of chips with AQ v A9 all in preflop.  Then left with a pittance, moved all in with A5 but was called by AQ and that's all she wrote.

An exciting double up for Noah Boeken now on around 80,000.  I caught the action late unfortunately, but I joined the plentiful onlookers at the table when Portugeuse player Antonio Lemos was facing an all in from Noah with 4 cards on the board.  He was actually put on the clock and looked like a very tough decision.  The cards on board were:

 Tc 6c 5c    Ks

Thomas Kremser was next to Lemos and announced "You have 5 secs, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1"   On Thomas's 1, the Bono duplicate said "CALL" and was faced with a superfast turn over from Noah Boeken holding

Qc 8c  for the flopped flush.  Mr Lemos tried to muck his cards but Thomas made him turn the cards over and showed  Ahrt 5h and a gasp in shock followed from the audience.  I missed the action previously but onlookers said that Noah had been dishing out some speach play, so maybe it was this that finally tipped the balance for the call.

Anway, Antonio Lemos was left with only about 4,500 in chips and a very red face.

Hi guys,

Great coverage as usual. But it would be far more interesting for your french readers if you could gie us details on 2 franchies : Ludovis Lacay (CL at the start of the day) and Guillaume de la Gorce.

Thanks ,

The players are now on a 15 min break.  I will locate your 2 French friends as soon as they restart.  We should also have a full chip from all the players in the next half an hour.

Josh Gould is on 40k after eliminating Terry Cook with A-K vs. K-Q, small blind versus button.

Also notice blondeite 'Lucky Blind' Mike Lacey hovering in the background and making it more of a 'Where's Wally?' photo.

2007 Grand Prix de Paris runner upper, Iceland's Runar Runarsson, was just caught with his pants down. Betting 7k on a 3c Qh Jh 7d board, he was re-raised all-in by Holland's Gijsbertus Spijkers and felt impelled to fold even though it was only several thousand more.

Rocketman just joined us in the press room at the break, "not so great" says the man himself.  He is down to 9,000 after hitting the heights of 23,000 but back down again.  He says he is gonna push regardless now after the break.  Also Ash Hussain has gone downwards instead up today, but we shall have a full count any time soon.

I just seen Richard Ashby leaving, he is OUT after runing 4's into J's.

Annette Obrestad is happy and on around 50,000

"I f***ed up," announced an honest Liam (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=638) Flood (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=638) as he approached the press room.

J-T versus the Q-Q of Andy (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=469) Black (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=469) doesn't sound particularly bad in itself, but when you add the phrase 'all-in pre-flop', then take a slightly darker turn.

Before that 'accident', I did manage to snap Liam (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=638) Flood (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=638) with his very own personalised button, many of which are scattered across the cardroom. According to the Irishman, the guy on the phone said, "Tell you what, we'll stick your name on em too," and Liam just shrugged his shoulders and said okay. Fair enough.

Moments before his untimely exit, Andy Black exclaimed in his usual boisterous manner, "Can we have a non Liam Flood button please whilst Liam's on the table? It's a tremendous advantage."

Courtesy of Chili:

Thierry Van Der Berg has been knocked out by Anitjonor Aleksandr with J-J vs. 2-2.

Kevin Vreeswijk is also out after moving in with 9-7 versus the 7-7 of Johannes Steindl. The Sevens stood up.

Surinder Sunar has been eliminated by Ramzi Jelassi. No further details.

Paul Gourlay doubled through by going all-in with 6-3 and hitting a full house. Then he found Aces on the big blind and one non-beleiver. The Rocket Man now up to 28,000.

Neighbour Ash Hussain also has 28,000.

Ramzi Jelassi is running hot. As well as seeing off Surinder Sunar, he moved from 8 to 12k courtesy of Ian Cox, before initially doubling up through Gustaf Jonasson with Sevens vs Ace King (his request of a seven was reward with a 7-6-6 Flop).

Andreas Hoivold was left to shrug his shoulders with a hint of embarrassment, amid internal cheers of joy, after his A-K all-in against K-K managed to spike an Ace on the Flop.

You kinda can guess what is next, Noah hit another 3 on the flop and Woodley is left to give us some ear bashing about the cruelty of this game we all love.

Not only did travel buddies Michael Martin & Roman Yitzhaki have to deal with being moved next to each other but they had worse problems with Andy Black on their left.  I walked by and overheard Andy calling the pair "Beavis & Butthead!"  Now surely thats a great way to wind up some young Americans with some chips.

The players are now an hour dinner break, which means me & snoops can stuff our faces too.

The jolly twosome, Ash Hussain & Paul Gourlay popped in to see us.  They are on 48,300 & 21,000 respectively and are no longer table buddies.  I didn't post this picture earlier but I will now, becuase they cheer me up.

He will be even less overjoyed now as it has been confirmed that Arnaud Mattern is OUT.

The full chip counts & players remaining list will be with us at some point in the next hour too, so watch out for that.  I'm off to scoff!!!

Enjoy dinner and see you back in the UK...

It's been a slow post-dinner start, but there have been the odd meaty hands, one of which near chip leader Ludovic Lacay whose pre-flop raise was called by Jan Veit on the button. A 2h 9d Kh Flop and Ludovic bet out 7k only to be re-raised by Jan. Ludovic quickly announced all-in, but with just 15k left, Veit passed in equal time, much to the delight of Ludovic who couldn't resist a cheeky chuckle.

One table down, Andy Black is crossing swords with Paddy O'Connor for the umpteenth time, this time the latter coming out on top with a triumphant 36.5k push all-in on a 4d 4s 3s Flop.

Swedish youngster Ramzi Jelassi is OUT. I didn't catch the pe-flop action, but he clashed with Mike McDonald in the big blind and checked a Jc 6d 5h Flop. Mike bet out, Ramzi raised, Mike pushed all-in and Ramzi called, for what was ultimately a paltry sum.

Ramzi = Kh Kd

Mike = 5c 5d

Turn = Aspades

River = 2s

Ramzi not a happy chappy.

On the next table, Ash Hussain knocks Dave Colcough down to just 15k with Qs Ts versus Ac Jc all-in on a Flop of Qc Qd 9c. Turn and River were blanks.

"You don't know how far behind you are," claims Ash Hussain on the Flop. "I'm happy with the pot as it is."

On the turn of the River, Ash rose from his seat and clapped his hands, "Come on!" much like he did in the 2006 Monte Carlo final when he outdrew Kristian Ulriksen. Obviously winning an EPT means a lot to the former European Rankings winner.

Great news for Paul Gourlay as he just doubled up thru Lacay.  There was a raise of 4,600 which Lacay just called which resulted in Gourlay going all in for a further 12,700 from the small blind.  Lacay clearly didn't want to call as the original raiser passed, but he did and the result was:

Gourlay  6d 6c
Lacay   Qs Jh

Paul's 6's were good and he now has a much healthier 40,000.

We have just started Level 12
1,000 / 2,000  200 ante
40 players left
82,000 average

Andy went out in the most testicle crunching of ways, his Aces versus Kings, all-in pre-flop, flopping a set and then losing to runner runner flush.

In think that is worthy of an ouch picture...

This is the downbeaten image of a defeated man, a shortstacked Dave Colclough a mere shadow of his earlier self with just 14k in chips.

"It's the curse of Day 2," moans El Blondie dejectedly. "I think we've seen this before".

However, he's still in, albeit it with few chips, but alive nonetheless and still in with a shot if he can gather speed with a couple of double ups.

In stark contrast, Norway's Johnny Lodden is as elated as ever with his progress, a surprisingly quiet, but non surprisingly successful day seeing his stack shoot up to the dizzy heights of 104,000. Why this lad hasn't made an EPT final is anyone's guess, but perhaps this year's Dublin EPT will belong to bad_ip.

Andy Black has been temporarily silenced (although I assure you it will only be momentary) after doubling up Michiel Brummelhuis. When I joined the action, it was on your backs times with Michiel relieved to be ahead with Twos versus A-K. An intriguing second glance requiring 2-Q-A-4-A board later and it was all she wrote.

Cyprus's Phidious Georgiou is holding his own again.  A Pokerstars qualifier for this & EPT London this year, just doubled up courtesy of Andy Black.  As I arrived at table "Black"  Andy was stacking up more chips from the last hand whilst Phidias looked down at JJ and raises to 6k.

Black instantly says "22,000"  Phidias goes all in and its a total of 31,700 that Andy instacalls.

Andy Black  Ad Qs
Phidias Georgiou  Jh Jd

The Jacks hold and gives the Cypriot a small bit of breathing space with 65,000.  A little dent on Andy's tall towers but I dont see any of the brown 5k denomination chips in his stack.

Sad news that Paul Gourlay has joined turned up in the press room.  He is OUT indeed out, he raised under the gun with AJ and was called from Ludvic Lacay in the BB.  They saw a flop like this

 6d 9s Jh

Lacay checked and Paul bet 8k with 42k left.  This was met with a min raise from Lacay, who has been rather volatile on the table, going from chip leader to average regularly.  Paul then took the chance and committed the rest of his chips only to be shown the J9 of Ludvic Lacay.  Paul is OUT and Ludvic is back up to about 120,000.

CHIP COUNT ON Ash (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=38) Hussain (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=38) PLEASE

Since Paul Gourlay has not alot else to do, I sent him to get an update on Ash Hussain and the resulst is Ash is down to 50K.  He was just reraised from Dave Colclough and layed down his hand.

I don't think I've ever heard Dave (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=95) Colclough (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=95) use the phrase, "Ship it, baby!", but his latest treble up was the exception, Ash (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=38) Hussain (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=38)'s button raise to 6k, followed by Johnny Lodden's smooth call, led to an all-in from Dave (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=95) Colclough (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=95) in the big blind for an extra 8k more.

Naturally, both players called, and then subsequently checked down a 6d Kd 9c 8s 3d board, Lodden even announcing that he was going to check the Flop blind.

With Lodden's Ahrt Ts and Ash's 4h 4c failing to improve, it was left to El Blondie's Kc Jh to scoop up a nice pot.

"Now I'm dangerous!" he cheers. "Don't ever treble me up."

A desparately needed double up for Martin Green just now courtesy of the KK held by Tommy Lindfors.  It was all in preflop and Martin had AJ, a flopped A gave a sigh of relief for Martin and also the heady heights 40,000.

Okay, I'm off the hook, she's on 95,000. If we catch you looking at another site now I'll be forced to set Chili on you.

Ok ok, no need to put a gun to my head.

Also, please give Annette the following advice for me: "FOLD TO MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!"

Dave Colclough is back to his cheery, chirpy (I can't believe I'm saying this) self, even folding with a smile to the under-the-gun all-in of Finland's Reijo Manninen.

"He can't even look at me," comments El Blondie trying to look into the eyes of his opponent.

"It's okay, I'm folding," concedes DC revealing Pocket Fours as his opponent breathes a sigh of relief and returns to his seat.

"You can see one card," teases Manninen.

"Naaah," says Dave pushing them away.

Manninen shows Colclough an Ace, at which point the table says in unison, "Hey, you said he could pick."

"Yeah, I'll pick the other one," requests Colclough as his attempt to flick up the second card is denied.

Meanwhile, Colclough sits on around 70-75k.

Annette Obrestad just added to her stack, seems like the river loves Annette.  I did not see the preflop action but all the chips were in and Dutchman Bart Westein the lower stack was showing KK and Annette A9.   Yep, as I alluded to, the A popped on the river giving Annette a circa 160,000 stack and Westein OUT.

Phidias Georgiou is OUT.  He found himself low and pushed with 33 but an auto call from the AK of  Michiel Brummelhuis and a K on the flop sent Phidias out in 32nd place.

It's all gone snooker loopey out there, the victim of the snooker loopiness being Mike McDonald who has now snooker looped his way over to the rail. The snooker loopiness started with a 7k raise from Mateyboy with Nines, 21k from Mike with Jacks and then an all-in from Annette with A-Q. The Nines folded, but Mike called, only to lose to an Ace. To say he looked a tad shell-shocked would be an understatement. Little ol Annette meanwhile has more chips than a potato factory.

A bit pot involving Johnny Lodden & Andreas Hoivold just happened and resulted in Hoivold going all in and called by Lodden all preflop.  Not surprising since Hoivold held AK and Lodden QQ.

No help on the board for Hoivold and he is eliminated in 29th spot.

Tommi Lindfors has been Tommy (ahem) gunned down by popular Spaniard Simon Munoz, the serial note-taker left to high five his Unibet countrymen in jubilant victory. The hand in question was an all-in jobby come flop time, Munoz in terrific shape with Q-J vs. J-T on an A-9-T-8 board. The 4 on the River was of no use.

27 left I think Kremser announced.

Oh go on then, I'll settle for second best blonde updater in Dublin.  Seriously though with Annette & Andy Black next to each other, both with tons of chips I think a 600k pot may belong to one of those two sometime soon.

Who wants 2nd?

Oh go on then, I'll settle for second best blonde updater in Dublin.  Seriously though with Annette & Andy (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=469) Black (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=469) next to each other, both with tons of chips I think a 600k pot may belong to one of those two sometime soon.

Who has the seat on the left?

With an expressionless, rigid posture looking straight on with the intensity of a predator stalking its prey, she quietly pops out 32,000 as if it were nothing. Meanwhile, the contrasting body language of Andy (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=469) Black (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=469), who seems to treat €8,000 events the same as £5 rebuys in that warming, fun way that only he knows, rests his hand of his head and scales his unlikely opponent up and down.

"You do this more than anyone in the World," claims Black. "that's the problem." Annette's deftly stare and formidable poker face crumbles as a schoolgirl giggle sounds from beyond the Terminator shades. "What are you laughing at?" asks Black amused. Annette refuses to respond. A sign of strength or weakness? Black seems perplexed.

Shuffling his cards and riffling his chips with the enthusiasm of a ten year old, the decision seems like a problematic one, Black's suspicions of Annette's positional raise from the small blind perhaps overriding the strength of his hand. However, although I'm sure he contemplated that Annette may be attacking a fellow deep stack intentionally, Black decides not to take the risk and opts for a fold, a knowing smirk on the Irisman's face as he mucks.

As Annette scoops in yet another pot, of varying sizes, she adds to her ever-increasing towers that now threaten to submerge her. Meanwhile, her opponents look on with envy at what must now be a circa 300k stack and possible chip lead whilst the other onlookers crowding the rail await with anticipation the next Black/Obrestad clash.

 4d 4h  for Cascarino
 Qs Qd for Veit

The queens stand and Cascarino is OUT in 26th place.  This only means 1 mighty important event in proceedings:

After punishing Johnny Lodden's small blind limp, albeit with a smile, with an all-in push, Dave Colclough finds himself all-in once again on the very next hand. Playing from the small blind, Dave checks an 8c 3s 5s Flop only for his Finnish neighbour in the big blind, Reijo Manninen to bet out 6k. Moments later, Dave 's chips are being slid across the line and the crowd are swarming around, excitedly awaiting the conclusion of the hand. With his mouth hovering over the microphone, Thomas Kremser's spiel is triggered as Manninen announces call and shows Ts 7s. Colclough, meanwhile, flips a leading, but ultimately rather vulnerable Kh 8h.

A Js on the Turn and it was over, Colclough had become EPT bubbleboy yet again and was forced to soak in the mixture of consolatory pats on the back, and secret punches of the air as the dealer reels out the academic Jh River.

Whilst we awaited the bubble to fall, there were a couple of other hands of note that I was unable to report without trundling back to the laptop and potentially missing the final departure.

With Ash (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=38) Hussain (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=38) surviving an all-in with Pocket Queens - I think he was still happy to take the blinds - the player the other side, Csaba Malnai, of the dealer couldn't escape an uncontested push as his all-in was semi-hesitantly called for 11k more by Annette (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=902) Obrestad (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=902) in the big blind.

Csaba = Ad Kd

Annette = 7c 6h

"Oooh, two live cards," observed Annette camply.

Board = Jc 3h 4h Kc 9s

Whilst Chili and my good self nip off to partake in the hotly contested media STT, we'll leave you to reflect in what was a genuinely eventful day. Of course, the pinnacle of that excitement was the ever-heartbreaking bubble, in which Ash Hussain and Dave Colclough battled for that creep-into-the-money spot. Unfortunately for the El Blondie fans, it was the latter of those two who snapped up the 'you go home with nothing' 25th place, resulting in 14 non-cashes for DC and three painful bubbles.

As they used to say on a popular cartoon, "Next time, Gadget, next time!", but while Dave plans for his next DTD-less outing, possibly in Amsterdam next week, we're bracing ourselves for Day 3 of this thrilling Dublin EPT in which the aforelisted 24 players will return. Among them is the likes of Ash Hussain, Andy Black, Annette Obrestad and several other interesting names to keep an eye on, so please make sure you join us tomorrow at 2pm, same bat time, same bat channel.

Until then, keep it real. Aii!

If I understand it correctly snoops, DC remains with DTD until the end of the year. Hopefully, by then, a new Sponsor will have signed him up. If Sponsoring players is a good thing for Online Cardrooms - & I'm not certain it's a cash-positive thing personally - then there is nobody more likely to pick up a sponsors shirt than DC, he has a tremendous record in Tournaments.

Ah yes, of course - the catenary gives it away. DART - Dublin Area Rapid Transit - hugs the coastline for almost it's entire length, & it must be quite a beautiful track upon which to travel.

Certainly  a whole lot more beautiful than sitting in yer motor in some of the most horrendous traffic going into Dublin.

The route that the dart takes gave Dublin one of its first property booms - places like howth, malahide in the north of the city to Stillorgan, and Dalkey in the south, were the first commuter areas to take off pricewise.

if we knew then what we know now....

If I understand it correctly snoops, DC remains with dt (http://www.dtdpoker.com/aff/BlonditesDownload)d (http://www.dtdpoker.com/aff/BlonditesDownload) until the end of the year.

You dont understand it correctly.
My agreement with Rob was for at least 12 months. However, after 12 months DTD have decided that they can no longer fund sponsored players. i would have loved to continue working with DTD but its a straight forward business decision that I accept.
The first comps that I played were the televised William Hill and the Dublin EPM where I made the televised final in November last year. 12 months ago.
There are no hard feelings on either side. It's just a straight forward business decision.
I thank DTD for their support over the last year, and I believe the exposure that they received was good value for money.

As for this EPT ... jeez, I just can't believe its happened again  ;frustrated;... but thanks again to all the well wishers
