By the way 123 players started.  Blinds are 600/1,200  (100).

Andrew Feldam had a mishap with some chips.  He went to raise in the cutt off but put in the wrong denomination chips and made the raise a huge 9,100.  Andy Booth in the small blinde raised another 20k.  A decision for Andrew, was his opponent trying to take advantage of his mishap?  After a dwell Feldman felt he was getting a good price so called the extra.

Feldman  held   Ks  Ts
Booth  Kh Kc

Jeff Kimber has knocked out Phillip Gibson with Ahrt Kh vs A-Q on a Queen high, 2 heart flop.

Marty Wilson min-raises in early position to 2,400. Daniel 'UpTheMariners' Rudd calls in late position, and Paul Parker calls from the blinds. Parker checks blind.

Flop:

Qs 6s 9c

Marty checks, Daniel bets 5k. Paul says to Marty, "You're trapping me, you're trapping me aren't you?" He promptly makes it 15k. Marty passes. Daniel asks for a count, before setting him in for another 15k or so which Paul instantly calls:

Paul:

Qd 9d

Daniel:

Ac Qh

Turn:

6h

River:

2s

Dave Colclough is OUT - He sighs as he winds up his Ipod and states "Same old story, Day 1 I sail through, Day2 can't win a hand!"

I only saw that all the chips were in preflop against Jason Shellum.

Jason  Jh Js
Dave   8h 8s

The Jacks held and Jason has about 75,000 chips now, some of these taken in pots before this one.

Dan Carter is OUT. 'Legitimately' he adds.

He raised A-J from the button and the blinds called. The flop came J-T-5 with two clubs, one of the blinds led out for 8k, Dan pushed for 22k and was called by the drawtastic 9c 8c which hit.

Ben Vinson has been crippled after re-raising with Aspades Qc and surprisingly finding an Ad Jd prepared to go the whole way with him. The board came: 9c Ac Kd Js 9h

Some Silo Graham News too!

He raised to 4k with the blinds 800/1600, and called a push from Muntaser Humadi, the board came 5h 4h 7c 9s Ks. Hurrah for Silo!!!

The pressroom is ablaze with Codd and fish jokes...They're giving me a haddock.

Stephen Walmsley (womble) raised 4k from the button.  The small blind reraised to 10,800, womble with about 15,000 passed and left himself a little short.

James Akenhead was involved in a juicy 3 way pot, when there was all in from Paul Bracken and a call from Roy Holliday.  It resulted in Paul tripling up due his Kings being good against the 9's of Roy and the Q's of Akenhead.

any news on Andy Booth or Matt McElhinney please.....

Andy Booth has about 55k at the moment, it's difficult to just go and grab an update on one player and come back up as we'd miss so much, so we stay for around 15 minutes and try and stay on the floor for as long as possible to get the most info.

Other news:

Iwan Jones -- 50k
Martyn Cavanagh -- 47k
Luke Vinnicome -- 40k (pictured)

Des Jonas is OUT A-9 vs the Q-Q of N McClellan.

Zafar Aslam could have tripled up just now.  He raised in late possition to 4,400 and got an all in push for about 25,000 from Linton Holling, passed round to Andrew Feldman who goes all in too for a lot more.  So Zafar faced with a reraise and rereraise passes his  Ahrt Kh face up.  He was about to feel very sick when his opponents both turn over AQ!!

The board resulted in a chop for Holling and Feldman but the AK would have been the winning hand, instead Zafar is left shaking his head, repeating over and over that he would have called Holling in a flash but not when Feldman pushes too.  He still has around 26,000 chips though so not dead by any means.

Karl (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=227) Mahrenholz (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=227) is OUT.  Ben (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=47) Vinson (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=47) to his right kept putting the pressure on Karl's blinds by moving in on him often.  This time Karl saw an Ace and made the call with his remaining 14,000.

Ben held KQ and Karl had A8, a Q was spiked on the flop for Ben (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=47) Vinson (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=47) and that leaves the remaining two other Hit Squaders to do the business.

The business is what is happening so far because James (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=183) Akenhead (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=183) doubled up through Neil (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=302) Channing (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=302).  Neil raised it up with  Kh Qs and James pushed in the big blind with  Jh Js.  Jacks held for Akenhead and rakes a 60,000 pot.  THEN just to brighten up Praz's table, gets moved into Karl's recently vacated, still warm seat!!

Jeff Kimber also has doubled up recently with pocket Queens, just shy of 50,000.

Julian (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=224) Gardner (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=224) is over 100k now having first knocked out Roy Holliday with Ahrt Js against Ad 6s.

A few hands later Julian raises to 6k from the button on Surindar Sunar's big blind.

Flop comes 8s 5s 9d

Surindar checks, Julian bets 10k, Surindar makes it 25k after some thought, and Julian instantly moves all-in. Surindar mucks. Julian claims Js Ts.

Sometime updater Isabelle Durr is counting her lucky stars after getting it all-in with Ad Qd against Linton Holling's Ac Qc and flopping a flush.

This is officially the pushing hour, no sooner have I seen one bit of action then something else kicks off behind me.

Catherine (on Marty Wilsons table) Hartree goes all in for 21,700 in reaction to a 8k preflop raise.  Dennis Clough the raiser states "Nah, I'll wait for a better chance!"  Which to me usually says "I aint got much mate."

Ryan Fronda is OUT

Ian "Big Noise" Gardner is OUT after pushing from the sb with 79 suited but running into a limpers massive K9.

Tuan Le knocks out Adam Clark by announcing in Manc tones "I'm awwl in!" on a flop looking like:

 7h Qc Jc

Adam called with  Ac Qh and Tuan shrugs his shoulders flipping over  Ts Js  but then a "yess" when the turn brings

 Tc

Tuan Le now right up there with the leaders whilst his less fortunate brother C K Le was found drifting further towards the felt and making a move by shoving with A6 under the gun for 22K.  There was a non surprising call by pocket Kings and CK is left to rail his brother & percentage Tuan.

The Julian Gardner Express travels on...

Robert Bright is the latest victim, he raised to 9.2k, Julian made it 25k and Robert pushed all-in with Ac Ks and was insta-called by the Leeds lad with Ac Ad.

Praz Bansi has doubled through Greek Jack with Ad Aspades against Ac 9c. He's up to about 45k.

Surindar Sunar is OUT, he pushed against Julian Gardner's raise with Nines but found Darren Rogers behind him with Aces.

Daniel Rudd is OUT, according to Silo Graham, he had A-T on an A-x-x board vs the A-K of Kevin Steward.

Finally found Justin Davenport - sorry he's been moved about a fair bit.  He currently has a very healthy 96,000 stack.  He just had a tough decision too for another 30,000 of his stack.  On a board of 3 3 4 a guy moved all in and with 25K already in the middle, Justin Davenport gave it a big old dwell.  He did pass though and later said he had 7's.

Kevin O'leary  37,000
Sebastian Saffari  32,000
Ariston  47,000
Martyn Kavanagh  66,000
Iwan Jones  54,000

It seemed every time I went past Paul (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=331) Moss (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=331)'s table he was pushing his chips over the line.  It was third time unlucky for Fattamarra when Paul's 10,500 raise was met with an all in from I Yusuf.  Paul insta calls his remaining 30k with pockets Tens and was met with a weird  Jh 7h.

The flop was a scary   6h 5h  4s  then  7c  Js

Pretty horrid tale for Paul (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=331) Moss (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=331), but he is still in good spirits as he walks away - if not rather quickly.

Raj (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=799) Modha (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=799) is OUT

Sebastian Saffari  is OUT - He went down lower than the previous 32K stated, so he pushed from the cut off with 75 suited but was called from the small blind with pocket nines and the nines were good.

He just ran A-K into Paul Bracken's K-K, spiking the Ace, but the case King came on the turn.

He's now daddy big chips, Gardner was knocked down to about 50k, but has managed to steal back up 80k.

Lee (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1222) Atherton (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1222) has just doubled up Ac Ad against Day 1 leader Paul Murphy's Aspades Kd.

James (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=183) Akenhead (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=183) has knocked out Laurance Morley with 9-2 vs 9-7 on a Q-9-2-2-4 board.

Marty (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=978) Wilson (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=978) just lost a massive percentage of his stack against Jason Shellum.  I caught the action with a flop of

 Qd Qh 7h

With around about 45,000 in the pot already, Shellum checks to Marty who then bets 14,000.  I see that Jason Shellum is holding 88 and gives it a very long dwell.  He decides he must have the best of it and pushes his stack across the line.  On further inspection it's another 26,500 to Marty which would leave him with about 10,000 if he loses.

Now the dwell is on Marty and for once this week, is stone cold silent and is left to think. He goes for it though and calls and see's the bad news, Marty reluctantly shows his 66.  The meaningless turn and river, means Shellum is stacking his big pile of Marty''s chips and Marty is left riffling 3 very small stacks.

At the start of this Level its 2k / 4k  (300)
51 players left.

Silo Graham has doubled up with Sevens against Eights but he's still very short.

Patrick Dolan is OUT, and the Julian Gardner Express seems not to havebeen derailed, but merely taken a detour via Middling Stack. He's back over 100k now. There's light at the end of the tunnel!

Osman Mustanoglu is OUT, K-Q vs 7-7.

Neil Channing has consolidated his domination of Justin Davenport by knocking him out with Kings against A-K.

James Akenhead came over the top of Lee Atherton's 15k raise to push him off the pot and bump his stack up to around 60k.

********* BREAKING NEWS **********

THE CODD has been WHALLOPED ~(booo) Silo Graham Codd is OUT.  3 Limpers so Silo made up his small blind with 56.  The flop was 5 6 7  and Silo bet out 15,000 only to have Kevin Steward with around 150k in chips re raise him.  With not much left behind, Silo was left to put in the rest of his chips and saw he was done for with trip 6's for Steward.

Well played though Graham, a great run non the less, be proud!

Is TLe still in? thanks

I'm afraid he just went out.  I saw a flop of

7d 4d Ts  and about 27,000 in the pot.  Tuan bet out 24,000 and his opponent pushed him all in.  Tuan called with  Qd Td for top with tons of outs and matey had only  7c 8s.

Turn  8c  River Kc

to send Tuan Le cruelly out the tournament after going so deep.

Short stacks are flying out all over the place. First Paul Parker doubles his meagre stack with 6d 4d against James Akenhead's As Kc on a Q-J-3-5-6 board. Then James Akenhead gets his double up through Greek Jack with Kd 8d vs Kc 6s, hitting a flush.

Next it's Greek Jack's turn, but instead he goes out in a 100k pot to Ben Vinson, all-in with 9d 6s on a 8c 4d 5h board against Vinson's flopped nuts with 7d 6d.

Mickey Wernick is OUT, Q-2 against J-T. The first three cards were K-J-9.

Praz Bansi is crippled with Kc Qh against Day 1 Chip leader Paul Murphy when the board came Kd 7s 5d 2c Jd.

Chip Leader looks to be Paul Murrell. Though he just doubled up Jeff Kimber when the latters' Tens held vs A-K.

As Floppy said, it really feels like carnage at the moment.

Andy Booth and Matt Mcinelly still ok please?

They are both OUT

Martyn Kavanagh makes a raise with K5, was reraised and decided that "sometimes best equity is to pass" leavin him with only 12,000.  Correctly so because matey showed him AA.  Next hand its Martyn's big blind, he is all in against 3 players and trebles up with 6 7 on a 8 10 5 7 Q board.  Now upto 30k.

James Akenhead doubled up Paul Parker with K 10 v Paul's 10's and left himself with about 25,000.  Shortly after that James makes a raise with 7 9 was reraised by Ben Vinson and a committed and maybe slightly annoyed James put the rest of his chips in.  Ben Vinson held AQ and a hit a Q ontop of things to send James OUT.

One of the big stacks now is Neil (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=302) Channing (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=302) with circa 300k after a sick runner of Aces and kings. He's always aware of the position he's in and the situation of the tournament at the moment...

"It's almost the bubble? I had no idea."

Ok, well he's mostly aware.

Here he is with fellow big stacks Paul (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=947) Murrell (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=947) and Julian (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=224) Gardner (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=224). I Yusef is knocked OUT by Paul Parker.  Yusef went all in under the gun for 50,700, Parker then spent at least a couple of minutes thinking, thinking & thinking only to go all in.  Everyone else passes and on their backs:

Yusef  Qh Qs
Parker  Kc Kh

Kings hold up and then a barrage of light hearted abuse is sent Paul Parker's way.  To the tune of "WTF was the dwell all about?"  "what were you thinking about?"  "Where you trying to get the another caller?"  Even someone from the extensive rail joins in "BRAVE call Paul!"

Board:

7c 4c 6h 7h Td.

Not sure how he missed there if I'm honest. A couple of hands earlier Paul Murphy had doubled through Paul (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=334) Parker (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=334) with 6c 6h vs Ac Kh.

Neil (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=302) Channing (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=302) wants the Climber of the Day award, after arriving at table 1 with 9.2k on the 1k/2k level and turning it into and the chip lead.

And it's....Bubble Time!

Jeff Kimber is our bubblee, Ben Vinson moved in on his big blind, and Jeff, who didn't want to limp into the money called for his largish 120k with A-Q. Ben turned over K-7. The board came 4-9-7-2-4 and all remaining players are guaranteed £2,100.

John Worsley goes all in from UTG for only 14,000, with blinds at 4k / 8k Lee Biddulph min reraises to 18,000.  Everybody passes and

Worsley  Jh Js
Biddulph  Ac Th

Lee Biddulph spikes an Ace on the Turn to send John Worsley OUT in 27th.

-------------------------

On Table 1, UTG raises to 24k, Paul Gardner makes a min raise to 50,000.  Action goes round to Marcus Bebb-Jones who goes all in for just under 50k.  The original raiser passed so the cards were on their backs.

Marcus BebbJones   9d 9h
Paul Gardner   7h 7s

The board came out in this fashion   Kh 2s 3c  3d  7c

Marcus BebbJones let out a gutting sound that we all felt for him whilst Paul Gardner let out a raucous raw.......hmmmm  Marcus OUT in 26th.

Andy Cruickshank  24th
Simmon Rimmer  23rd
Andrew Feldman  22nd
Paul Parker 21st

Ok, Andy Cruickshank was a victim of Paul Gardner with 9-9 vs A-T, a Ten on the flop. The flurry of activity is actually a little mind-blowing at the moment, and it's hard to catch it all.

But, let me continue, Simon Rimmer was the 21st place finisher when his Eights came unstuck against Paul Murrell's T-7 which spiked.

Andrew Feldman was next out, he lost a big pot AIPF with K-J against Paul Murphy's A-T. He then lost his last 10k or so (blinds now 5k/10k) against Julian Gardner's K-7.

Martyn Cavanagh has lost a huge pot to a player who hasn't got his tag, so I can't recoginse him! Grrrr, all I know is the money went in on the flop with Martyn holding Jacks and his opponent holding 8-6 on a 5-5-7 board and rivering a 4.

Paul Parker is OUT in 21st, Julian Gardner set him in with 3-3. Paul squeezed the first card which was the 8c and declared, "If it's an Ace or an Eight I'm going to call."

He peeled a Ks, and decided he couldn't pass for his last 50k. Gardner hit a set though and Paul was gone.

Iwan upto about 130,000.

Lee Biddulph was getting busy again, this time with KQ diamonds against Marty (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=978) Wilson (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=978)'s AQ.  Lee hit a diamond flush with his KQ to knock Marty to the felt and only 7,000 chips.

Julian Gardner is OUT. After a losing a couple of big pots, he called off his stack with Qh Tc against Js Kc on a Jd 2s 9h board but missed. Neil Channing said apparently that the dealer had miscounted a stack size when Gardner had a marginal decision to make. I don't have too much info on this, perhaps I can ask the table later or Neil will post, but either way Julian seemed pretty much tilted afterwards.

Marty Wilson is out in 18th, winning £2,700. His last few chips were thrown in with 8d 3h against Lee Biddulph's Th Td which housed up on a 4-7-A-T-7 board.

The players redrew after the last exit and then a huge 3 way pot developed.  It started with shortstack Lee Atherton going all in for 59,600, his neighbour Ben Vinson picked up a big stack of 5k chips and dumped them over the line effectively reraising.  This turned out to be a min raise so it was 119,200 to the next victim.

Leo Kam looked at his cards had a little think, then moved all in himself.  This turned out to be just under Ben's raise at 113,000. So it was on their backs:

Lee Atherton  9h Tc
Ben Vinson  Ad Kd
Leo Kam   9s 9d

The board came   8c 4c 5c  "club, club, club" whispers Lee next to me.

 5h 8d

So a double and half for Leo Kam, a dent for Ben Vinson and OUT in 16th Lee Atherton.

Full chip counts to follow:

Just before the break, we believe Ben Vinson knocked out Mark Steward with Ad Kd vs Qc Qs. A King on the flop and an Ace on the turn.

The speed of the exits even before the bubble began is quite frightening, the last couple of hours have been highly frenetic whereas usually they tend to be slow and cautious. This could be for a number of reasons, more gamble in these players, the big stacks having vastly more chips meaning the shorter stacks can't afford to sit around at all, on even that some players are already very tired and making more mistakes.

Neil Channing is now using the advantage of the big stack raise pretty much every single pot. After another raise to 35k, the rest of table thinks he might, (surprise, surprise) not always have the goods.

"I've a confession to make," says Neil, "One of the last three raises, I've not had a premium hand."

After a short time in the tank, Lee Biddulph moves in over the top. Passed back to Channing, who folds quickly and says, "Yes, it was this one!"

Paul Murphy has doubled through Ben Vinson with Kh Qh against Ks Jh on a 8h 5h 3d Aspades Td board....

Paul Murrell has taken a load of chips off Jason Shellum. Channing and Murrel limped, Iwan Jones made up the blind and Shellum checked.

The board was checked down til the river and looked like this:

5c Aspades 7d 7h Jd

At this point, Iwan Jones checked, Shellum bet 40k, Channing passed and Morrell made it 120k, Jones passed and Shellum made the call, flipping over Ac Jh, but Morrell had 9s 7s.

Thoughts on the call of the raise here? Shellum surely should know that Morrell could think he's value betting a 7 himself here, so isn't going to re-raise without a 7. He's very unlikely to re-raise with an Ace on the river for the same reason, so perhaps he should be passing the top two pair on the river as a raise is only going to come from a 7 or a full house.

Martin Cavanagh was having some problems with his neighbour Ben Vinson, In a blinds confrontation they see

 2d 3s Th

Ben bets out 16k, Martyn calls.  Turn  4h, Ben checked and Martyn bet 50k, Ben then went all in.  Cavanagh dwelled for a long time and asked the standard question these days "Will you show me?"  Ben was having none of it though, completely ignoring Martyn.  He asks the question another 2 times, Ben  - STILL, SILENT.  Another player called the clock to which Martyn relied "thank you" and meant it.  30 seconds left and he passed "a big" but we never saw.

A couple of hands later he looses another 23k or more to Paul Gardner and is looking in danger now.

Well that's a wrap for us tonight here in Blackpool, we have 14 players left to fight it out for the final 9 tomorrow a little earlier too - a 1.30pm kick off.

Still some familiar names left in, Iwan Jones, Neil Channing, Leo Kam, Ben Vinson, Martyn Cavanagh et al.  A redraw again and the chip counts from the end of tonights play will be with us some time overnight.

Early night me thinks after days on end living in a casino....
