Title: Pokerstars.com Bahamas EPT: Day 1A - Interactive
Post by: snoopy1239 on January 05, 2008, 06:14:08 AM
“It’s just Birmingham with palm trees,” I proclaim to Floppy in the taxi. The shops try and rip you off, motorists dive on the left and it’s even starting to rain! Aw shucks, who am I kidding here, it’s nothing like Brum – it’s bright, sunny and lively, and the rain’s not proper rain, just a slight warm drizzle, unlike our freezing cold rain that attacks you from an angle and gives you pneumonia. Yep, I confess, everything's just peachy over here in the Bahamas!

Not sure how I ended up here though. When did the Bahamas become part of the EU? Will the GUKPT see us set off to Barbados, and will the GBPT announce that Bristol, Edinburgh and Bournemouth are to be joined by a quick stop off in Bermuda? Whoever at PokerStars blagged this one needs a medal! Can't wait for next year and the introduction of the Sidney EPT.

Meanwhile, US customs give us a grilling again. A year or two ago, Jen was inches away from the rubber glove treatment, so I always excrete bricks when I approach the security box. I don’t know why, I’ve got nothing to hide, it’s just they make me feel so guilty that just one menacing look wants me to confess to something... anything!

It makes me feel like a teenager again, anxiously awaiting my fate as the smug bouncer sniggers at my fake ID. “Adamus Snoopius, sir?” How about when you’re actually 18 but have forgotten your driving license, that’s even more nerve-wracking as you know your mates are bound to rib you for being knocked back when you’re actually above the legal age.

When I enter the States, I always crumble under the spotlight, even though I'm an innocent man. The simplest of questions suddenly sound like something from University Challenge and if you don’t answer immediately and with conviction, you fear that they’re going to summon over Big Bubba and request that you bend over pronto. When they asked me what my occupation was, the word ‘terrorist’ was inexplicably bouncing around in my head. I know it’s a taboo word, but it sounds a little like ‘journalist’, and I very nearly said the wrong one. Crikey, I might as well bring my own lube!

Anyhow, I made it here unscathed and without my crevice tampered with, so as they say before boxing matches, the odd Ultimate Fighting bout and, dare I say it, a classic PJ and Duncan track…

Llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllet’s Get Ready to Rumbleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!... at 12pm (5pm UK time)

If anyone has suffered the rubber glove, or a near miss at the very least, please share your story so I have something amusing to read when I awake.

No pictures though.

Freeloading, cheapskates that we are, Snoops and I made an appearance at the Pokerstars party tonight, along with Dan Carter and his lovely girlfriend, who can testify to the incredible trouble it takes just to get into the US, despite just passing through...

The party itself had a faint air of a school disco about it, (ifm would've no doubt been a fan) whilst the comp has swelled to around 850 runners with a 1200 cap. The weird thing is that with the number of young internet american players involved, it's become less an EPT event but more like:

...the Poker Tournament.

Seriously, so many Michael Cera and Jonah Hill lookalikes here...

Welcome you guys to this toughest of tasks. When you dig yourselves out of bed, you will no doubt wish to regale us with some glorious photos of your Bahamian environment to brighten up our British winter. Bring sunshine to our lives!

A good start yesterday as I won the live super-satellite for $8000 to pad my account for the trip. Starting the Main Event today at Table 10 Seat 4 and there's sure to be plenty of action because I have Dario (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=517) Minieri (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=517) on my right and Tuam Lam on my left.

We've arisen, and will be heading down to the Atlantis Resort (I believe it's in walking distance) as soon as Floppy prises himself out of that bathroom, he's been in their for ages. What does he do in there??

ps. If you want us to follow any particular player, then please post on this thread as soon as you can.

650 players today and at least another 500 have signed up for tomorrow. Biggest ever non-WSOP field.

The players are braced like Linford Christie in the starting blocks and patiently awaiting the tournament director's starting gun.

As nice as the Bahamas is, I'm afraid the corporate world is quickly dipping its money-grabbing feet into the Caribbean with the Atlantis resort better suited to a spot under the bright lights of Vegas rather than the beautiful shores of Paradise Island. Walking around the resort, I couldn't help but feel I was at the Rio. In fact, the big corridors with their tall ceilings and the giant ballrooms and convention rooms that litter the sides provide a near replica of the Nevadan counterpart. Fortunately, we walked to work today and were able to grab a brief glimpse of the Bahamas outside the world of gambling, casinos and poker. The weather, incidentally, was stunning - not too cold, not too hot and with a gentle breeze rustling through the palm trees. Excellent.

Also spotted is a mischievous and annoyingly youthful looking Dan Carter. He confessed to some pre-match nookie and believes it will spur him on rather than knacker him out for the big game.

Some big names have made it across from the states, Bill Chen, Josh Arieh, Erik Seidel, Thor Hansen and Victor Ramdin to name just a few.

It didn't take long for proceedings to commence today. On many occasions, there will be a long delay due to someone grabbing the mike and plowing through the rules at 1 mile per hour. Today, however, Daniel Negreanu simply said, "Welcome to the Bahamas, everyone! Er... shuffle up and deal."

Frenchman currently residing in London, Nicolas Levi, is bumping and grinding early doors. With the board reading Aspades 6d 3s 8c Kd, he raised his Scandinavian foe's River bet of 700 to 2,200 and was duly called. Levi confidently flipped over Ad Kh to lap up the pot.

Also believed to be lingering today is Levi's running buddy, Arnaud Mattern, who will be looking to be the first player to win multiple EPT events after his recent triumph in Prague.

Seated opposite a laid back Erik Seidel is homegrown talent Peter Gould. He's not one to sit back and wait for hands, and he's already seen action here today, splitting a chunky pot with K-J vs. K-J on a 9-J-2-Q-7 board.

ps. If you want us to follow any particular player, then please post on this thread as soon as you can.

Hi Snoops and Homer.....Can you keep track of my favorite Americans playing today....Michael (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=937) Martin (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=937) (aka martine23) at Table 10, Seat 8 and also Chris Lee (aka genius 28) who is at table 27...not sure of the seat number.

Thanks so much.

Funnily enough, we bumped into Michael last night at the party, so we'll look out for him.

The thing that really strikes me as you enter the tournament area is that this really doesn't feel like an EPT at all. Now obviously, the location makes that the case, but there is little or no mention of the EPT on the Pokerstars-plastered walls. There's a certain lack of the EPT regulars too and a high amount of faceless (no insult intended) online qualifiers which gives this more of a WSOP feel than any other tournaments.

They're not using EPT chips either which just adds to this, plus the tournament structure is also distinctly different.

Chips:

Green -- 25
Black -- 100
Pink -- 500
Yellow -- 1000
Blue -- 5000

Snoops --

This list only shows 7 people per table.  What gives?

Negotiating through the sixty or so tables, I've finally spotted Julian (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=225) Thew (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=225).

He had just raised a limper from the cut-off to 400, the small blind called whilst the big blind and limper passed.

Kc Jh 7h

The big blind leads out 400, Julian calls.

Kd

The big blind now fires out 625 to which Julian again calls.

9c

Now the big blind checks and Julian bets 800, he's called but his Ks Qh is the winner.

Good luck to Dan Carter!! :) I have a feeling he wants to spend his time in the Bahamas on the beach with his lovely girlfriend... But, he'd better win this first, or there will be trouble!! ;)

Despite there being so many participants, the table draw still throws up a few good 'uns.

Prague winner Arnaud Mattern and Humberto Brenes.

He's definitely playing today as I spoke with him right before the event started.  Your list only shows seats 1-7....perhaps he's in seat 8, 9 or 10.

Just to prove that Zspaceman's not a Billy Liar, here he is pictured with Messieurs Minieri and Lam.

"Is that Dario Minieri?" asks a passer by.

"Yep, sans school satchel," I replied.

silence

"Where's his scarf?" he asks

"We're in the Bahamas!" I said.

"Yes, well," he replies sternly. "He had his scarf on in Vegas!"

Christ, some people don't make it hard to be humorous.

I'm just about to dip back into the sea of poker players, but while I'm gone, can anybody help me out and tell me who last year's runner-upper Isaak Haxton looks like. I'm sure it's a musician of some kind, but I can't figure it out. Big prize for the best lookalike comparison.

Hey Reader, this is table 27, is Chris Lee spottable in this picture?

Elsewhere we've spotted Dave (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=95) Colclough (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=95) who has qualified here with Stars FPP's. Not had the best of starts though, calling a raise with K-Q and raising a flop bet on a J-T-x board but bricking out when the turn paired the ten, and both players checked and he then missed the river.

Incidentally our clock is playing up a little so please bear with us.

Andreas Hoivold is OUT, he flopped the nuts with T-7 only for his opponent to river a flush. His remaining chips went in with Tens against Ace King with a King on the river.

Oh well, at least he's still in the Bahamas...

If you're ever going to go crashing out of a tournament early doors, then this is surely the one to pick, and Erik Seidel will certainly be enjoying the sun for the rest of the week after being eliminated with 6h 5h on a 6-6-K Flop. It sounds a bit loosey goosey when I put it like that, but when you consider that there was pre-flop action that would make it hard to put Seidel on a Six, it's a bit of a cooler really. But after all the chips flew in, Seidel found himself up against Pocket Cowboys and virtually drawing dead. A Five on the Turn rubbed salt in wounds, and after a Sixless River, the multiple bracelet winner was a gonna. Surely now is a perfect time to work on that tan?

Up front, Julian Thew might be a cool sponsored pro donning his Will Hill gear, but lurking behind is evidence of rather less credible attire, including what I believe is known as a 'man bag' hanging precariously from his chair. And although he may try and hide it, look closely and you shall see the famous scarf, lurking timidly in his crotch. Don't be ashamed Julian, get it around that neck of yours, even if we are in the Bahamas!

Poker wise, Julian has been uncharacteristically quiet today and remains hovering around that 20k mark.

Although seemingly at ease with the world and in good spirits, Dave Colclough's laid back demeanour just transformed into a squirming haddock that had been whisked out of the waters after tangling with Steve Jelinek's Russian bride, Irena Liepina. The Flop that had El Blondie in a fit of bamboozlement read  As 8c Td, and after his raise was re-raised all-in by Irena, he was left with what appeared to be a highly taxing decisions. A few arm stretches, lean on seats and scratching of heads later and Dave flips over A-T for what Floppy described as either a "crazy good" or "crazy bad" fold. Irena smirked smugly and quietly handed her cards over to the dealer.

Former EPT champs are going good. Arnaud Mattern is sitting on a 31k stack, as is Julian Thew who just eliminated a medium stacked player with Ace King versus Queens AIPF. The Queens had made it 1k to go, Julian made it 3,200 and the Queens pushed for 8k more with Thewy making the call.

Nicolas Levi is kicking himself after completely missing the fact he made a backdoor flush. Raising with the Jd 9d and betting a J-x-x (two spades, one diamond flop) against another player. The turn brought another diamond and Nicolas bet again, and was called once more. The river made his flush with the Ad, but he didn't see it, so both players checked. The other played showed J-T and Nicolas mucked, before then seeing that he had actually had a flush. It was too late though and the 8k pot went sailing the other way...

Incredibly, Peter Gould, who is renowned for his eclectic collection of tropical shirts has dressed down tonight, although he's still donning a shirt that would make Liberace look dull. No change for Gouldy, he's on around 18-19k.

Dan Carter's drop in chips is mostly due to raising with K-J and getting called by the big blind, who proceeded to bet out the whole way on a K-Q-J-x-x board, Dan flat-called every street but was shown K-Q at the river.

Luca Pagano is OUT, he had top set against a gutshot which then turned a flush draw, (when all the money went in) which hit on the river.

Dave Colclough is feeling a lot better after Irina told him she had pocket Eights, "I don't care if she's lying, I feel a lot better now..."

He's since picked up a few chips here and there, first with K-J against Q-J on a Jack-high board and then hitting a flush against trip Jacks. Back up to about 15k

Peter Gould is on 40k after flopping a set of twos and being set in on the river by an aggressively played King Jack which rivered two pair.

Johnny Lodden -- 50k

John Shipley's ship looked to being sailing off early as he was down to around 8k, but he just called a raise before c/raising a bet and a call on Qs Qd 8d from 1,200 to 3,700 to take the pot. Everything is now looking a little more ship shape for Shipley after he shipped that one. Don't think he said, "Ship it to Shipley," though.

Soren Kongsgaard, "I'm trying to bust really quickly because I'm in the Bahamas..."

Compatriot Tor Lagerborg is the chip leader now with around 70k, he's just knocked out John Shipley whose  ;technolog; has sailed. A raise in late position was flat-called by Lagerborg's Queens, Shipley raised a further 3k, the OR passed and Lagerborg set Shipley in, the latter calling with dominated Jacks.

Ac 5s Qd 5h Ks board/

Chris Moneymaker bets 3k, but passes his Jc Tc fairly quickly when his opponent raises him another 8k.

Dan Carter has doubled up to 15k with Queens against Jacks.

"I had a baaaaaaaaaaaaad 2007," reports Johnny Lodden to me as he raises to 700 pre-flop from early position. "2008 needs to be a lot better."

Still, he seems unfazed by life, even when he is called from Mateyboy on the button. Check check on a Kc 9s 8c Flop, and Lodden decides to have a stab for 1,600 on the Aspades Turn. Mateyboy calls, although hesitantly, and then again on the 4h River when the Lodden nonchalantly pops out 3k. The table takes a double take as Lodden reveals a rather inferior 7c 5d, in a spot of bother against Mateyboy's triumphant Ahrt Th.

Still, the important thing is that Lodden is up there with the chip leaders with well over 40k. He's been threatening a big win for a few years, so perhaps this will be the one.

Lets see if I can do this Blonde style:

"I did it," triumphs Jason Laso.  "I somehow managed to beat last year's mark of 1 level + 10 minutes."  Jason is out of the PCA after 1 level + 5 mins this year for a new personal record.  After raising to 600 from late position into an absent big blind, a slow-witted older fellow in the SB re-raises to 1200. Both men see a flop of  Tc 7s 5d where the unknown man bets out 2000.  After a short deliberation, Jason elects to call.  The turn brings a  5c, and once again the older fellow fires 2500.  Jason, in his usual methodic yet intimidating style, counts out the chips and calls the bet.  The river was the  9c, completing several straight and flush draws.  After a 3k bet from the old guy, Jason piles up his chips and moves himself all-in for over 8k more.  Using his alledged tight image to his advantage, Jason felt he could move the older gentleman off the hand but alas he called with  Ac Aspades and Jason sheepishly mucked his  3d 6d.  Being the good sport, Jason shook the hand of his opponent and made a bad joke about his streak of busting early and the women here at the Atlantis, before leaving for the day.

Last time I checked upon the diminishing stack, and the accompanying dropped shoulders, of Michael (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=937) Martin (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=937), he was holding a paltry 7k and possessing the frown of an upside down Cheshire Cat. However, upon return, just one orbit later, he had somehow amassed an almighty stack of 52,000 and gone from bracing himself for a week of sun, sea and something else on the sunny Bahamian shores to, amazingly more alluringly, hoping for a long week of playing cards with sweaty men. With over 50k, Michael is up there with the chip leaders and in with a great chance of making it through to Day 2, but he's had to survive a few nerve tingling moments to reach those dizzy heights.

After first doubling up to 15k with Nines versus A-J, Michael smooth called the pre-flop raise of WSOP runner upper Tuan Lam with Pocket Rockets, eventually getting it all-in on the Turn with Lam's 9-3 bottom pair in all sorts of bother. Just to prove that these two are at it like bitter enemies across a battlefield, Martin doubled up yet again courtesy of Lam, this time with K-T on a T-9-2 Flop. Lam had Q-J, which hit when a King popped out on the Turn, but another Cowboy on the River and Martin was yeeeeehaaaaaaing his way to a nice and spicy 52k stack. Lam, meanwhile, exited stage left the very next hand.

Considering his recent affluence courtesy of a 2nd place finish in the Amsterdam Master Classics, I did consider bribing Michael saying that I'd change his quote of "I just bought a quick drink thinking that I'd be gone soon" to "I'd just purchased a bottle of vodka so I could get blind drunk after the tournament", but thought better off it.

Finally, he said hello to his dear mother.  :hello:

Crikey, I'm out of a job.

Before I go though, can we hear the joke about the women at the Atlantis?

I said it was a BAD joke, you really don't wanna hear it.

I did mention to the lady that it would be easier to put the bread in the middle...

She wasn't impressed.

I don't have any tournies planned until the WSOP (feels fun that I finally get to play it this year), so if that means I have to do some reporting to go on vacation, I'm in.  Plz tell the powers that be that I prefer the redeye flight outta Newark and prefer having 2 small beds in my hotel room, as opposed to 1 big one (I prefer not to have all that extra space to toss and turn in).

Also, why haven't I actually met the Blonde poker crew yet?

"I'm on the comeback," exclaims a pumped up El Blondie. "It doesn't get much better than this."

The blonde one's on 23k, but still thinking about his big fold from earlier on. "I think she had Eights. She would have folded A-8 on the Flop."

Meanwhile, Peter Gould has jumped up to 50k after "a couple of bluffs" and finding a set of Deuces quacking their way to a 2-K-x Flop, a Jack on the River  a great card for Peter, but a poor one for his opponent who had K-J.

:hello:
[/quote]

Thanks Snoops for the update.  He actually called me from the break and told me he had a few drinks when he was down to 7K but thought better of it once he started climbing back up.  So that bottle of vodka might just have to wait.

He may have put on few pounds since he picked up the game of poker, but when Tomas (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=769) Brolin (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=769), 14,075, was at his physical peak, playing International football for Sweden and knocking them in for Leeds, he was on a strict diet of just 8 pies per day.

No, we couldn't afford bringing more than two people.

This is Snoopy, hard at work. (That's Owen from Pokerlistings in the background, sneakily grabbing a cookie).

Dan Carter (10k) has had one rum punch and feels really drunk now.

Tor Lagerborg -- 90k (Looks like he's been on the rum punch too).

Humberto Brenes is a crowd drawer like no other...

The board reads 6-7-8 and Humberto has called another player's all-in. The other player shows 7-7 and Humberto says, "I....haaaaaaveeee.....the...........nuts!!!" as he turns Tc 9c over. "No pair the board please." The board bricks out and he gets his wish.

Directly below is Trevor McGoona, currently far from happy days with just 10,500, but he's accompanied by blonde poker Waterford Festival finalist Derek Thorpe, who, admittedly, was spotted due to his skin being paler than everyone else's. "Are you British?" I asked. "Irish." I knew he wasn't American, only Erik Seidel has skin as pale as us. "I'm playing about as bad as I've ever played before," admits Thorpe lurking over his mere 5,825.

I do apologise, but I can't seem to find Jon. I can't say he's out for sure, as the field is so big and it's needle in haystack time when the players move table. It doesn't look good, but I'll keep a look out just in case he crops up again.

Dave Colclough has been moved to Julian Thew's right, they seemed more interested in bickering about a hand which involved Julian re-re-raising (or something) with Q-5 at the Broadway a while ago. Both in are in the 25k to 30k zone, Dan Carter meanwhile is the 'push vs a raise' stage, his 12k boosted from 9k after an Ace King shove against a raise.

Stuart Taylor is on 40k after 'sucking out big-style' with Nines against Kings, then having Kings against Ace King. Fairly easy innit.

Incidentally, todays player tally has come in as 556, with another 600 expected tomorrow.

Johnny Lodden -- 25k "Going downhill."

Any news on Jon Screeney guys? Is he still in?

I do apologise, but I can't seem to find Jon. I can't say he's out for sure, as the field is so big and it's needle in haystack time when the players move table. It doesn't look good, but I'll keep a look out just in case he crops up again.

Cheers Snoops, appreciate it

I don't have any tournies planned until the WSOP (feels fun that I finally get to play it this year), so if that means I have to do some reporting to go on vacation, I'm in.  Plz tell the powers that be that I prefer the redeye flight outta Newark and prefer having 2 small beds in my hotel room, as opposed to 1 big one (I prefer not to have all that extra space to toss and turn in).

After pulling his head back over water, Dave Colclough has sunk back down to 12k after running A-K into Kings. During the break, tablemate Julian Thew informed El Blondie that everyone at the table was a rock except seat Nine. Seat Nine had the Kings.

Frederik Haugen, who finalled in the London EPT, is now OUT. He re-raised all-in from late position with Kc Tc, but, after a lengthy dwell, was finally looked up by Mateyboy's Kh Qh. A 2d 4s 6h 8d 6d board later and Haugen was done and dusted.

As with most poker events, a range of different people from different backgrounds come together, many of whom don very different, and sometimes unusual hair dos. The two images below is a prime example of this, although I'm not sure which is more frightening, the natty dreads or the foreboding beehive.

Oh my God!!! Look at all the hats, there are just so many! Where are they all coming from?

Being in the Bahamas, an eclecticism of hats is to be expected, and what an array we have on display here today. From the Liam Gallagher hat to the condom hat to the traditional straw hat, it really is exciting.

Hello, lucky Bahamas updaters! Photos of beaches and ridiculous cocktails please.

I'm told we're close to the 290 players we were originally going to finish at, but instead we're actually going to play through this level and 45 minutes of the 500/1000/100 level. The same will then be done tomorrow.

"Just call me Mr Yo-yo," requests Dave (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=95) Colclough (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=95) as he nurses a newly acquired stack 21,500. He didn't seem too keen to elaborate at first, and initially I had to hear the news from Julian, but El Blondie doubled up with A-Q versus A-K, a cheeky flush hitting the River.

Julian, meanwhile, has dropped down to 24,400 after making what he believed to be a "terrible bluff" on the river with a missed flush draw.

Can someone please highlight that I've inserted Rhett (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=868) Butler (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=868)'s chip counts twice by accident so I can say a certain line...  ;whistle;

Snoops, not sure if you've noticed but it would appear that you have accidently inserted Rhett Butler's chip counts twice

Apparently, and according to the groupies either side, this large framed chap Joe Cappello, is one to look out for. He's currently on 25,000, so has his head above water so far today.

Joey Capello. Anyone else know him? He seems popular.

I think that's the guy I knocked out in round one in the WSOP heads up last yr. Richard Herbert, straight off a 12-hour flight (drinking session), said no wonder I won in Barca if all players were as easy as him, I told him I thought he was pretty good. Strummer called me an idiot....on theway out we picked up a copy of cardplayer and Daniel Negreanu's whole column was about this guy (I think they call him Bobo) and what a star he is gonna be lol.

Luckily for him I play in this tomorrow. Time to get some comedy cocktail pictures with James Aikenhead and the Mantis For Dana, before checking back here for chip counts and update on Dan Carter's bedroom antics and early nite.

Great updates Snoops

Dan (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=86) Carter (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=86) is MIA whilst John Phan has doubled up with Queens against Jacks.

Fellow Stars pro Elky is doing much better though, can you guess how much he has? (blue = 5k, yellow = 1k, pink = 500, black = 100 and green = 25)

With the day drawing to a close, I thought I'd have a quick scour around the arena to find out who'd be going home happy chappies. Rumour has it that Ryan Collette is our chip leader with circa 180k, but I am yet to find the little rascal. For the time being, you'll have to make do with this motley crew.

Alex Michaels -- 125,000

Johan Berquist -- 110,000

Just as I'm braced to exit the media room and venture into the cardroom with all the eagerness of a dog at a juicy bone convention, Floppy informs me that the show is over and the chips are being bagged up.

108K?

I'm not sure what it was there, but ElkY's count several minutes before the final whistle was 87,100.

Play has now finished for the day as the laborious bag 'n' tagging process takes place.

We'll restart once more tomorrow at 12pm (5pm UK time) where another 500+ players will be taking their shot at glory.
