Title: I think this was an easy fold, but I'm starting again so I need to ask!
Post by: Graham C on February 26, 2008, 08:51:07 PM
I'm going back to cash games and I'm starting of small.  I've blipped recently and tilted off most of my cash, so I'm regaining confidence and playing a tight solid game.  The old me would have called and either cried or laughed, it tended to be crying more than laughing which is why I'm sure I made the right decission, but I thought I'd check

It's a fold isn't it?  No reads on opponent, he's just joined the table and I have no other info.  Was the play to the river ok?

I would make it abit more on the flop and turn about $1.4 and $2.5-$3.

I think the river is fine, good value bet to extract from a weaker ace and the fold to the raise is totally standard. You could check/call if he is liable to bet missed draws, here but i prefer bet/folding.

Cheers Longy, certainly not the worst hand I've played - good news!
