Title: Hmm I would usually just bet the balls out of it ...but
Post by: Newmanseye on May 31, 2008, 07:51:05 PM
Have a look, I have about $50 and the opponent has $20

Now this flop i have the Gutshot and the flush draw, I would always just pot size bet lead or reraise most players who open early.

Do you think my bet here is +EV long term?

A smaller bet will exercise better pot control, you will proably take the pot if they nothing and get a call from weak holdings that you are drawing well against. The pot sized bet will make it more likely that hands that you are drawing bad against will call and you will get re-raised by strong Aces and Sets.

Personally at this level I avoid playing hands like this as it can get you into trouble.

Raise preflop. Please do not open limp.

what he said, and also 9handed is a slower learning curve.
