Well done to her though, I liked the fact that she was p*ssed off with her time even though she won the gold medal.  Quite refreshing to see a British athlete not content to just be there and enjoy themselves and do their best in finishing eighth.

The amount of tweaking they have put in is incredible, and I love the final vids. My sister just got pregnant (their first) and I made a lovely vid of it but the child is HORRIFIC lol so I don't know if I can send it.

The hard part is saving the (flash I guess?). I don't think saveflash works with 'customized; outputs like that one. So I cheated and used the very mighty Camstudio www.camstudio.org , freeware, using the customizable screen size border, then using this avi and overlaying some Gayplay music in Windows Movie Maker.

Biggest farce since that British cyclist won a few years back with that Lotus bike. Can't even remember his name but I remember who made his bike. Smashed everyone to bits purely because his bike was better than everyone elses.

Obviously he good pedal pretty fast as well but you get my drift.

Chris Boardman - he's actually involved with the GB cycling team now and did a similar thing this time.

Started up a 'secret' project to design the bikes. Got top engineers from various disciplines (including Formula 1), gave them a list of the regulations concerning what consitutes a valid bike and said 'build me the best bike you can that doesn't break these rules'.

Previous to these Olympics, all swimmers of all nations have been only practising a wee bit, and eating cakes and shit. They all of them together decided it was time to start trying properly, definately not the suits.

The advantage of the new suits is estimated to be to increase your time by about 2% - so you have to be pretty close to the old world record for it to make a difference.

Ah, so the suits actually slow the swimmers down...

The technology that our guys and gals use is available to all the other major nations out there.

For once we're using it to the full rather than being plucky losers.

I think it's very easy on a forum like blonde to forget sometimes that what we write and post here is publically viewable to all.  Rebecca Adlington is going to be talked about because she's in the public eye.  Should the fact that she is a well known figure due to her sporting achievements leave her open to being the butt of jokes about her looks?  There is every chance she will read this thread at some point - imagine how hurtful that might be.  I regularly get called an 'ugly f**cker' and other such niceties outside of the public forum, and it hurts, even though I know the author is a little biased.  

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but when it comes to discussing things like this on a public board (rather than down the pub with your mates, which is different) then my school of thought is 'if you haven't got anything nice to say, don't say anything at all'.

I've just seen your post, which crossed with mine Rookie.  Anyone stumbling across this thread would probably be surprised to see it's contents, given the title, which is somewhat misleading.
