I know this is short notice but if you dont ask you never know !

Would anyone be interested in buying shares in me for the WSOP-E £5000 PLO event next week ?

I usually look forward to playing the PLO in Amsterdam each year but this time it is 7th -15th Nov and clashes with 2 events i am hosting at DTD . The only other event i can get to play this year is Thanet GUKPT as most weekends i am busy ! So as the PLO is Wednesday to Friday if i can selll enough shares i will play it.

I will sell lots of 1% each for £60 and would like to sell 60%

I have a fairly good record in PLO . According to the Hendon Mob Database since 1996 i have made 22 finals with 8 top 3 finishes. In 2004 i was ranked no 1 in Europe having finalled at the Vic and won the €500 PLO event in Amsterdam beating 226 players , in 2005 i returned to Amsterdam and came 2nd of 246 .

In June 2005 i played the first ever $10,000 PLO at the WSOP and came 5th . I had sold shares in this 1% for $150 each , i won $93,000 so each share was worth $930 .

Over the last 2 years i have been so involved with DTD i have rarely played ( i am busy most weekends ! ) but this WSOP-E event i feel will suit my game , you start with 10,000 chips and a 1 hour clock then receive a second 10,000 after 3 levels. There will be many No Limit players chasing a bracelet especially Americans that do not understand PLO and i believe i can exploit this.

In the $10,000 WSOP event after day 1 average chips was 28,000 i was chip leader with 117,000.

If there is enough interest payment can be made at the club or by online / bank transfer via PM

I will not take any money until all shares are sold. If i dont sell the minimum 60% i will not be playing and will use the £1400 i am willing to invest for the GUKPT instead .

If I have a piece of blooming Ironside at £75 per % then I can hardly turn down someone who can actually play at £60 per %.

Ok 27% gone on this thread and i have had a seperate pledge of 2% so 29% total.

Those that are at the club this weekend can pay in cash which will be refunded next week/visit if i dont play , i will wait until Sunday and if all shares sold those that can't pay at the club will have to transfer to my DTD account ( pm me your DE number and the amount and we will do an internal transfer between accounts ) or Bank account by Tuesday.

It's looking tight but we might get there lol.

I just spoke to Julian, he is on holiday on the South Coast, & offline, for a week now, but I'm sure you know, he's 100% "good" for his pledge.  I will be going down to see him for a day or two next week, & will collect his cash for you & pass it on.

For those wavering, I think this is a terrific opportunity. I was table-side in Amsterdam when Simon finished 1st & 2nd in consecutive years in their mega-tough Omaha comp (200+ runners both years), & watching him play everyone like a fiddle in a Omaha cash-game at DTD last night, I can assure you his game is in very fine fettle.

Simon put me in for 2% please tried to catch you last night but you disappeared. I'll see you tonight.

I have sold an additional 3 shares off this thread so up to 55 . would like to get to 60 and if there is more interest will max out at 65.

Regardless i have decided to play now as i am delighted with everyones faith in me and would love to get a result in this event.

By my calcs (which could be wrong) I make it 58 gone so 7 left if your willing to sell to the 65 mark.

Someone above wants all thats left, if he wants the 2% to take it to 60 then ill take the other 5% off you?  If he wants more he can have 4% and ill take the remaining 3%, if thats ok?

Will pay cash next time at the club if ok, if not you have my number :)

Hi All

First of all a big thankyou to all that had the faith in me to buy shares, i was in the club Sunday night and sold a few more and in the end the total sold is a little more than i intended at 70.

I made a mistake thinking the buy in was £5000 , in actual fact i discovered today it is £5250 and they have moved the start time to 3pm from 5pm . Fortunately i decided i didn't want the stress of driving and have bought a flexible train ticket. I have also booked into a nice hotel within walking distance of the Empire.

I leave at 11.07am tomorrow , arrive in London at 1.04pm . Hopefully tomorrow night i will be through to day 2 and as i don't have a laptop i will try to find an internet cafe to provide you all with an update.

Good decision - that train is topped & tailed by the excellent Class 43 (see pic) with slam-door rolling stock - far better than the Meridian plastic jobbies on the half hour, & only stops twice maximum (Leicester + 1).
