Title: steak in my belly luton circus anniversary deepstack
Post by: turny on September 22, 2008, 02:01:20 PM
hi all, am looking for stakeing for next weekends anniversary shield 2 day event at the luton circus casino. its a £250+£25 buyin and the field will be fairly weak (tikay and rooks already confirm enough said!)
really want to play this event but unfortunatley the bankroll wont stretch at the moment.

more info regards the tournie can be found on the link below:
http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=36711.0

am looking to sell 60% of myself for $500 broken up into 10 6% shares for $50 each if necessary. the reason for the dollars is for ease of site transfers.

on the face of it you can see that the 60% obtained from stakers will be roughly paying the whole buyin thus i recieve my 40% free. this may seem to some a little excessive but please take into account the 20 odd hours it will take me to win this tournament etc.

heres the twist and also hopefully the incentive to some to help with my staking:

there is a satallite on wednesday evening at the casino which is a total buyin of £52.50 (25+2.50 with one 25 rebuy or addon). i will enter this myself as planned and pay into it myself.
if i have sold all  60% i require for staking  for the main tournament and all monies are transfered to my online accounts by wednesday prior to the satellite, then if i win a seat through the satellite then i will transfer each 6% share back the full amount they have sent me and there percentage will stand in the main event.

the reason im doing this is because i really want to play this event and this will ensure i do even if i fail at the satallite (which i hope not to)

i hope all the above makes sense, usual 300 post rule applies, first come first served for % on here, pm me for transfer details once i confirm your staking.

about me: have a good record at the venue in the usual weekly games, decent online record in mtt's though shit bankroll management always withdrawing to pay for day to day things.

ok stake me up or shoot me down!  hard hat on here we gooooooo!

The stake for the ME itself is asking for backers @ 1.66 over one event.
Including the satellite, the stake is asking for backers @ 1.4 over two events.

The latter seems more reasonable, but could you clarify?

If 9 people could ship their $50 to you by Wednesday and one person doesn't, nobody gets the value of the sat seat?

If there is enough interest, could you maybe set a deadline for the monies being shipped and guarantee that people will get the 1.4 sat + main event deal?

I would like to note an interest in buying 6% for $50, but only on the proviso that I know for defo I was getting the 1.4 sat + main event deal. As it stands, it looks like I have to rely on others paying on time and I'm not so sure about that.

hugo thanks for your input, shame you have not got 300 posts you seem so keen to contribute  ;D ;)

i apologies if it comes across that way it wasnt meant to, they will actually be doing me a big favour as they will be giving me a chance to play an event i cant afford to play at the moment.

i am thou offering them a chance to gamble by staking me in the main event with a chance of getting a full refund and a freeroll % if i qualify through wednesdays sattalite.

wow im a changed man since my ban lol

i get your point tank, thanks.

im new to all this staking and being staked lark and explaining it all may come across a bit confusing at times lol.

i dont quite understand how all this 1.4 works as im not asking the backers to stake the satallite just to stake the ME if i fail to get a seat in the sat and if i do get a seat in the sat then they will get a freeroll percentage.

i apologise for my ignorance on the figures and stuff mate but if thats how the figures work out then ok.

really want to get the whole lot paid by a deadline on weds so that the scenario you are pointing out doesnt happen. likewise i dont want to enter the sat and fail to get my seat then find my backers pulling out for the ME.

It's the same thing pretty much, just expressed a little differently. I've incorporated the value of the satellite freeroll into the stake for the main event.

Like if you were to buy a new kitchen and get a "free" fridge-freezer. The fridge isn't really free, you might be buying a kitchen that's slightly more expensive than you would normally go for because you know you are getting the fridge included as part of the package.

So I'll buy your kitchen mate, (or 6% of it) but only if I know I am getting the fridge. Wouldn't buy it if I was maybe getting the fridge, maybe not.

Think it looks like an ok deal and hope you get interest in the other 54%/90%/$450/four cabinets and a sink soon.

Good luck  :)up

lmao you are a mad fucker! ;)

ok as long as i have had enough interest by 6pm wednesday with the majority having shipped the transfer  then the 1.4 deal is defo on. if i get scammed for the % after wednesday if i dont win my seat in the sat il have to take the hit .

so is that you in for a 6% then tank?

would if I had any money in my stars account!  I'd say Turny's got a great chance of winning a seat, so think this is a great opportunity for the gamblers among us :)up
