It would be cfhulish to try & find fault with Luton-G over the weekend - a big up to them all.

was only there for a few hours on the sunday but could tell from that small amount of time how much the cardroom is now progressing.

niall was a perfect host on sunday and the buffet for the heads up comp was an unexpected bonus.

Got to give a mention for the fabulous food buffet that was laid on not just on Saturday but on Sunday too.  The fruit selection late on Saturday was also a nice touch.

I would like to find fault with their policy of not throwing out fashion-allergic gentlemen who make critical remarks of the more youthful patrons' attire.

Luton were brilliant.  Couldn't find fault with anything this weekend, not even any juice on the main comps!  What lovely lovely people.

Sorry Andrew. I had assumed you wore that Shirt for a bet.

Thought the staff at the G were excellent - from the people on reception through to, and especially, the card room staff.  Really good atmosphere and the dealers were top notch (except for Tighty).

I can't put it better than that. I would like to add something though.

In addition to a vast store of card room experience, Niall's people skills will be a great asset to Luton G. It's not everyone who can tell you to fuck off and make it sound like a compliment. 

They have now introduced a 150-300 Level Tom. So, no excuses for you not to come down mow & then!

I've been to the last two Blonde Bashes and both venues/staff have been first class.  Why can't we get a quality venue like Luton or DTD on the South Coast ? (Preferably Southampton, but happily take anything in a half hour radius, excluding the Isle of Wight, okay Southampton it is then)

oh and well done to all the staff at the G. Its took a lot of stick over the past year or so and rightly so ( although i've always tried to defend it) but the weekend showed its on the right track now.

Its a great venue............the cardroom team are great........Niall is going to be a great asset..........I might have to play more often.........what a hardship. Thank you the G

As a Luton regular I looked forward to showing off my "home turf". I felt privileged to have been part of this weekend and proud of "my team". A massive well done to all the card room staff who as always, apart from Anthony,Ian,George,Adam,Ian,Raj,Kelly.Apu(happy birthday) and Satish, were the nuts. You should all be proud of yourselves.

I echo the sentiments regarding the staff.

I think Niall is a great appointment - a great dealer and, as already mentioned, top-notch people skills.  Best of luck to him.

Luton is deffo the best venue for BB.

I would really love to have one in Brighton but my second choice is deffo Luton!!

Only 2 gripes, the reception staff are so unfriendly and unwelcoming, the lack of valets in the cardroom is a joke. They had weeks knowing that come Sat there would be 100+ bodies in the cardroom 90%+ of which would be drinking, if they had got a couple of extra girls on they would have made a lot more money!

I've now had the enjoyment of 4 Blonde Bashes, 2 of which have been at Luton. Although it's a pain to get to the G from Bath, it's such an awesome venue with exceptional extras (OMG - those fab buffets!) that it's worth daring the hazards of the M4, M25 and M1 just to experience it. From first dealer to last, and esp the card room manager whom I nicknamed "Uber TD", they were friendly, skilled, and really joined in the spirit of the event. Thanks for the bonus buffets of tropical fruit late Saturday and early dinner Sunday.   ;cheerleader;

Have to agree about the reception staff. You normally get a "good evening" once every six months.

hmmm. most of them say good afternoon / evening / night etc followed by name.

I must go there too often!!!!!

Niall was a great laugh and helped make the cardroom a real fun envirenment to play in.

I thought all the staff were decent except the muppet who wouldn't let me in on the friday night because of my jelly legs.

The best one was the girl on Friday night who let Lucy go through the whole process of signing up as a member and all that jazz, then telling her "oh but you can't come in with those shoes" cheers for that could of told us 5 minutes ago.

That muppet was you.

They could have done with more barstaff though..(although Sam, tiny young lady,was great behind the bar)

Drink service was slow to be fair...but I drink fast...to be fair.  Ah well, kept me out of trouble.
