Title: APAT Pro-am Staking Post by: lazaroonie on September 29, 2008, 04:42:22 PM I am going to be playing in the APAT pro-am at luton this weekend. The buyin is £300 (no juice), and you can read all about it here
http://www.apat.com/index.php as I said I have already decided to play in this event, no matter the result of this. I am basically just looking to try and cover my expenses, by selling up to 50%. Preferably in multiples of 5% (£15). This is a straightforward 1:1 equity split. My game is pretty solid, and have a decent record in these APAT events (from 4 events played, 1 final table cash and 2 just outside the money). My overall record in low-mid buyin events with between 50-150 runners is pretty consistent. Anyway, enough of the hard-sell. The good bit is the added value - the winner of this event in addition to getting a load of cash, will also get an entry to the GUKPT grand final worth £3000. In the likely event of me winning the APAT, then any % holders will automatically get the same percentage stake in the GUKPT. (they can however, if they prefer "cash out" at this point and take their % of the buyin back). form an orderly queue... Title: Re: APAT Pro-am Staking Post by: kinboshi on September 29, 2008, 04:45:21 PM I can't play in this (I can't play full-stop), so I'll have some of you.

Title: Re: APAT Pro-am Staking Post by: thetank on September 29, 2008, 04:49:59 PM In the best interest of all stakers, I should mention Laz grims cab drivers.
Ha Rod, you missed the funniest bit - when the taxi driver tried to charge me 40 notes Driver : "that will be 40 pounds please sir" Me : "I dont f*ckn think so" Driver : "Ok, we'll make it 30" Me : " You're new to this haggling game, eh ? Look, here's a score, and I'll promise not to slap you about - is that a fair deal ?" Driver : "No problem sir". pm Jimmy Tarbuck if you want other dirt on the big chap. Title: Re: APAT Pro-am Staking Post by: kinboshi on September 29, 2008, 05:09:20 PM Sold out in under 20 minutes. Is that a record? It's not a very good name for one if it is. Title: Re: APAT Pro-am Staking Post by: thetank on September 29, 2008, 05:16:45 PM Ah very clever, I see what you did there.
For the benefit of our viewers in black and white, kinboshi is talking about a pop record record instead of a guiness book of records record, achieving a delightful comic effect. |
