Title: DTD Monthly Freezeout Final Day - Interactive
Post by: snoopy1239 on October 05, 2008, 04:48:02 AM

Actually, I'm not sure why I asked. With Chris Bruce, everyone's playing for second. He's taken more money in Nottingham than Rob Hood.

I can multi-task with the best of them. Don't be surprised to see me taking down exits and double throughs with a pork sausage in my mouth and fried egg in my hand.

Good Morning afternoon railers.

Here we are refreshed and ready for duty.

A few have already arrived filling the air with pleasantries and such before battle commences at 3pm.

One cash game is underway mainly filled with Welsh gentry.

We also have a TV crew setting up over the main table near the door, at the moment we are not too sure what they are here to film unless they heard about me looking after Dana's puppy and teasing  him with his bone. If so they too got the wrong end of the stick.

Anyway folks this lappy is so limited as to what I can do that I can not even post a smiley so sorry if posts appear a tad bland, but saying that thanks DT (http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/)D (http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/) for helping me out of a fix by letting me use one of there's, mucho appreciatedo. PS also doesn't have spell check.

Lawernce Gosney went out on the last hand of the night, after calling a raise with Qx 3x and finding one behind re-raising all in plus the original raiser pushing his stack all in Lawernce chose to gamble along with them instead of coming back short stacked.

One thing I love about DTD is whether people are still in bed, finishing a pint at the bar or shaking off the excess at the urinals, play commence at the scheduled start time. In other words, the clock is ticking and we're up and away.

Early action by Chris (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=65) Bruce (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=65) sees him dominating play 2 out of the first 3 hands.

Sadler in seat 9 raises to 4 K on Bruce's button who re-raises Sadler shows an A and says " anyone but you Chris".

Next after 2 limpers and a raise to 4k with both limpers calling. Chris pushes another big raise on an A high board to get both other players to fold and shows A Q.

Whilst Frances Pippen is pinching more pots than a french man pinches bottoms,  Marcus (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1329) Bebb-Jones (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1329) has just eliminated Mark Wilson for around a 40k plus pot.

All in preflop Marcus had  9 9 with Mark showing A Q.

The board saw no improvement for Mark and off he skanks to the rail.

Alli Mallu has now been moved to Marcus's table so expect some good action soon.

Forget fifth gear, Rob Clark has excelled into sixth gear and continued in the same fashion that he ended last night with, playing with more aggression than the Incredible Hulk in heavy traffic and shoving at every opportunity. "Playing like yesterday?" observed big blind Chin Chai Koh as Clark pushed from the button. "I call," announced Koh.

Koh = Ad Js
Clark = 7c 7s
Board = 4d 5h 4c 3s 3h

"He can't lose a coin flip," commented a short-stacked Marc (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=257) Goodwin (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=257).

I believe The Nun has an exit brewing, but apart from that we've witnessed more doubles than a night on the tiles with Dewi. The first person to see his stack increase two fold was king of the short-stacks Pete Wigglesworth. With just 2,700 at the start of play, he found himself all in on the big blind with J-5 versus the small blind's K-T. A jack on the flop gave him a much deserved double through, but button Marc Bebb-Jones couldn't help but rue on missing out as he was forced off 9-8 and would have made a straight.

Post by: snoopy1239 on October 05, 2008, 03:31:35 PM
Marc Goodwin isn't interested in waiting for aces, and rightly so as he is similarly low with 7,200. He pushed his short-stack all in from middle position with 4c 4h and was looked up by Bob Ballou in the big blind who tabled Qs 9d. "That was close," exhaled MrCool as the board came a butt-clenching Kh 3c Aspades Kc 3d.

Now in better spirits, Goodwin regaled me with a tale of woe from last night with a rye smile. "I pushed in blind one hand. This guy [Matt Russell] had A-2 and on the river, I turned over my cards. First I flipped over an ace, so I just needed a card bigger than a three to win the pot. I thought I had to win, until I turned over a three."

Even after a night's rest, the table still seemed to be tickled pink by Marc's prior misfortunes. But he won this one, and is now back up to 15,000.

As I was talking to Marc (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=257) Goodwin (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=257), I was forced to end our exchange abruptly when, from the corner of my, a quite magnificent sight caught my eye. As I reached for the phone and dialed the number for Record Breakers, I couldn't help but remain fixated on what I saw... are these the world's biggest onion rings ever?!?! You could hula hoop with these bad boys!

I told you they were double mad here. Before I'd barely finished marvelling the onion rings, Pete Conduit pushed all in from middle position. Without too much hesitation, Rolf (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=727) Woods (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=727) made the call and tabled Ahrt 9s. Conduit had 9h 9d. A 5c 3h 8d Js 7s board later and like Johnny Five, Conduit was alive! ('Conduit Five is alive' doesn't quite have the same ring to it though).

On a sidenote, check out Mohammed Shoahebe tucking into those onion rings as if the government had announced a prohibition on food. They're so big, he can barely fit them in his mouth! Even Des (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=129) Jonas (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=129) struggled to squeeze one in yesterday!!!

"Why you taking a picture of Pete?" asked Dave Nisbet. "The onion rings are the real stars." Little did Nisbet know that the onion rings had played more than a supporting role in my shot.

After raising with pocket 4's and then laying them down to an all in from Robert Ballou, leaving Marc with around the 8000 he then calls an all in push from early position mateyboy. No help for Marc's A Q  against Pocket 10's.

Also getting his chips all in after seeing a bit of preflop action was Matt (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2115) Russell (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2115). Matt was seen to raise the pot preflop to 4000 receiving a flat call from Mr Bruce in the BB.

Out pops  3c  4s  7d  Check Check

 6d

Brucey boy bets out 9000 and Matt repops him to make it 18500 to go leaving Matt zilch.

Bruce calls showing J J and Matt holds Ad Kd

River shows the  5h. As Chris commiserates Matt the dealer announces spilt pot.

CHOPERTY CHOP.

Pete Wigglesworth is now out having seen his 9c 9d fail to out coin-flip Mark Robert's Qh Jh on an ensuing 7c 6h Qc Th Jd board. "Yes!" exclaimed Wigglesworth with a clenched first as the river was dealt. Many eyebrows were raised. "Ah, sorry, thought I'd hit straight." Eyebrows returned to their natural position.

As I joked to Marcus (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1329) Bebb-Jones (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1329), you have to raise suspicions of chip passing when someone celebrates exiting the comp. Or maybe he simply had a last shorter bet with Roberts.

Either way, here's Wigglesworth's assassin amid stack reconstruction.

It's not often you witness a three-way all-in without being presented a scalp, but that's what happened when bedlam ensued on the central table with three players pushing on a 7d 8c 9c flop. I didn't catch who bet when, what or how, but when push came to shove, the line-up was as follows:

James Mitchell = Ad Th
Ian Lyons = Aspades 9h
Terry Fletcher = 6c 6s

Turn = 4c
River = 5c

"Straight!" pointed Fletcher who took the pot, although I felt he should have been taxed a few thousand for mis-announcing his hand.

As a result of the three-way dance:

James Mitchell -- 5,500
Ian Lyons -- 33,500
Terry Fletcher -- 39,000

And a few other random counts:

Martin Jarvis -- 56,000
Phil Clarke -- 40,000
Dave Nisbet -- 33,000
Arnold Homer -- 19,000
Matt Russell -- 18,000
Chris Bruce -- 64,000
Matt Heasman -- 7,000
Marcus Bebb-Jones -- 72,000

During the melee, we saw the exit of blondeite 'matt50' Matt Heasman. He found himself in piping hot water with Jh Tc versus the Kd Ks of Marcus Bebb-Jones. A 5d Qh 4d 6c 6s missed Heasman by a country mile and Bebb-Jones took both the pot and consequently the scalp. As the old saying goes, 'the rich get richer and the poor get knocked out.'

I think someone touted Richard Kellett for success earlier in the thread. Well, they're either Mystic Meg or have stolen her crystal ball as the youngster now has over 100,000 and is your current chip leader. He eliminated two players in quick succession, one of whom was onion-ring muncher Mohammed Shoahebe. Shoahebe had his tournament life on the line with queens versus A-K, but a painful river on a 6-7-4-6-A board dashed any hopes of DT (http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/)D (http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/) glory and sent him home. "What goes around...," Dave Nisbet later said, referring to Shoahebe's last minute double through the night prior with jacks versus kings.

I can see Evilpie walking.

Snoops has the info.

Yes, although I did enter the fray late and had to pry the information from a wounded Matt (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2115) Russell (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2115). Luckily, he's a gent, and was more than accommodating in reporting his demise. Russell had all his chips in the middle with Tc Td in the end, and was given a spin by Ac Kc. The Jc Qc 7c wasn't the best, and the Ahrt turn and 2s river produced no miracles. "Did you have Tc?" I asked, trying to decipher if Evilpie held a cheeky straight flush draw. "Yeah, guess I could hit the low end. I had outs to a full house too if you think about it. I wasn't looking too bad," he joked. "In fact, I don't know how I lost. Bad beat that one."

Either way, Evilpie leaves us, but, as always, with a sporting smile.

Whislt watching Alli Mallu enter more pots than Ron Jeremy my eyes were diverted to action taking place between Tony Salmon and Ian Lyons.

I joined to see a pot of 20k with a board showing  8c 2c 3h  7c

It all ended in tears for Ian after pushing all in with his  Th Tc with an over pair and flush draw against the flopped two pairs  3s 8s of Tony Salmon with the river being

4h

After a fast-paced start, the action seems to have slowed somewhat with folk beginning to smell the fibre of DTD's fabric. I did spot a bit of preflop action, however, one of which was Phil Clarke conceding his 6,000 to a reraise to 17,000 from Richard Kellett. Amusingly, Kellet boomed his reraise. "Don't think they heard you in Preston," joked his neghbour. "Aaaah, did I seeey tat loudleeeey?" asked Kellett in his broad Northern accent as he removed a headphone. "I got it on tut full blast." In the end, Clarke let it go, although reminded he was being pushed around by Kellett, and returned to nurturing his 20k stack. "Wanna see one?" asked Kellett before showing an ace.

A hand or two later, Daniel Ward button raised for 5,300, only for Dave Nisbet to push all in from the big blind for a total of 31,600. "Best hand I've seen..., claimed Nisbet, "... for four months." With the table giggling, Ward released his hand saying "I'll let you have it" in the process. It was probably for the best, as Nisbet showed pocket queens.

Chris Bruce limped UTG and called a raise to 7,500 from Ali Mallu. On the Kc 6h 9c flop, Bruce check-folded to a bet of 8,500. Mallu showd the Ks. Mallu jumps to 112,000, Bruce slips to 100,000.

On the next hand, Jonathan Spinks raised to 7,000 from the small blind, only for Rob Clark to make it 17,000 from the small blind. Spinks let it go and is down to 40,000. Clark showed queens.

From the near table:

(1) Francis Pippin and Tony Salmon both limped for 2,000 before folding to a raise of 7,000 from Daniel (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2259) Ward (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2259).
(2) Richard Kellett made it 7,500 from the small blind, Francis Pipping called from the big. Kellett took it down with a bet of 12,000 on the Td Kh 5s flop.
(3) Salmon limped UTG, Kellet flatted the button, Francis Pipping limped the small blind and Rob (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2125) Allen (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2125) checked the big. All four checked a Kh Qc Aspades flop, only for Kellet to win the pot with a bet of 6,500 on the 9d turn. He showed an ace.

After a somewhat lacking in action period it seems to be warming up again. Well Alli Mallu is.

Alli makes it 5k to go in late position. Jonathan Spinks flat calls along with the SB and BB.

 3c 2d Js

SB Checks BB Checks Ali Checks but the Jonathon makes it 8000 to stay in the pot.

Both SB and BB fold but Alli  pushes his mighty stack of 110k plus into the middle.

After much thought  it was begining to look like the bum clench moment had arrived for young Spinks but alas he folded.

Good fold IMHO as Alli allowed him to see what Pocket Aces looked like.

Terry Fletcher raised to 7,000 on the button, Martin Jarvis made it 21,000 from the small lbind and Fletcher called. Both players checked the 8d Ac Ahrt flop and the Th turn, only for Fletcher to bet 9,000 on the raggy river. Jarvis made the call with Jh Jc, but lost out to Ts Tc. Jarvis down to 20,000. "Argh, I had A-8 on the big blind," claimed Richard Kettel, "and would have taken all your chips."

Francing Pipping has bitten the dust courtesy of Terry Fletcher. Fletcher raised to 11,000 from the cut-off with Ad Jd only for Pipping to push from the big blind with Ac 2c for a total of 37,100. Fletcher took quite a while to make the call, but call he did and the card were flipped. Although the 2s Qc 8c flop heavily favoured the underdog, the Jh turn followed by a 7h river allowed justice to be served and awarded the pot to Fletcher. 14 left.

We lose another.

Short stacked Rob (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2125) Allen (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2125) goes all in for his almost diminsihed stack of 9.5k asking for players not to pass. Careful what you wish for Rob,  button re-raise of 35.9k all in from Phillip Clarke and after an almost clock calling dwell the SB Daniel (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2259) Ward (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2259) decided to fold his pkt 10's.

Rob  Aspades 2s

Phillip  Ad Ac

When the board shows the  Td 8h 6c a sound that could quite easliy be mistaken for a zip accident in the males urinals escaped from Wards mouth.

There was no help on the turn or river for Rob and we are minus one more.

Jonathan Spinks now holds close to his chest a dangerous stack of .

This last pot was so big that Alan Titchmarsh could plant his whole garden in it. With Richard Kellett making it 8,500 from UTG, Ali (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=23) Mallu (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=23) pushed for a total of 70,000 from the big blind. After a brief moment of deliberation, Kellett made the call.

Kellett = Td Tc
Mallu = Aspades 3h

Flop = 3s 4h 7d 5s 9c

As Mallu departed, Kellett banged the table in celebration. He had around 170,000 at the start of the hand, but that triumph now puts him closer to the 250,000 mark and odds on favourite to win this event.

Phil Clarke is out in 13th. He found himself all in with Aspades 4s versus the Jc 9c of Terry Fletcher on a 3h 9d 9s. The 7s turn threatened a nasty beat, but the 8c was safe and Fletcher was good. As for Clarke, start an open fire, bring out the paper plates and stick a fork in his, 'cos he's done.

Fletcher now on 180,000.

Dave Nisbet, who's been in and out more than the hokey cokey, has evaded the splash of the bubble by doubling through with Js Jh versus the Ad 8h of Rolf (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=727) Woods (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=727). The Td 4c 2h 5d Th board never really threatened to send him home, allowing him to construct a newly acquired stack of 56,000.

Still 12 left.

can i have a chip count for tikay please?

Well, tikay normally adds around 50,000 to his chip counts when I ask... so I guess he's got 50,000 at the moment.

Chris Bruce is today to be our bubble boy.

Chris pushed all in ( 50k) for the second time after being moved table only three hands back, only to find a call from the already forwarned " Next time I'm calling " Richard Kellett.

A 10 v J J

Jacks hold up and Chris heads off to dry his clothes from the exploding bubble spray.

We're in the money folks I hear them all singing.

You may have noticed Dave Nisbet's sudden change of fortunes in the last set of chip counts. That recent surge was the result of a brisk encounter with neighbour Mark Roberts, Nisbet having the best of it with As Kc versus Ac Qs. As a Qc hit the window, Nisbet couldn't help but go to turn away and sigh "I knew it," but his pivot was premature as the next card came the Ks followed by the Ad. A harmless 6h turn and 9s river and the double through was complete. Nisbet now on 104,000.

Our 11th place finisher was Tony Salmon.

Salmon raised 20k in late position to be re-raised all in by Daniel Ward. For around 50k. With not having enough behind him to fold Tony Salmon has to call showing  Aspades 4s

v

Daniels  7c 7d

 Kh 4s 3d 2d Tc

10 remain glued to thier seats.

With just one player to fall before we hit out final table, it's Jonathan Spinks who has been suffering the most heart bypasses. Down to 30,000 after his Ahrt 2d versus Ks Qs on an ensuing 6c Kc 4h Tc Jd board doubled Rob Clark through, Spinks pushed all in preflop a few hands later from late position. Marcus (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1329) Bebb-Jones (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1329) peeked down at the Ahrt on the big blind, then a 3s and announced "call", although I expect he was calling after just seeing the one. Joy for Spinks, however, as he hit trips with Kh 5h on a 9d 5s 6d Jh 5c board to stay alive and is now back up to 60,000.

We have our final table.

After a push all in from Martin Jarvis UTG for his tiny stack of 27k with  Qc Ts

BB Terry Fletcher finds it an easy call showing A 7

The first card out is the  Ac and it is shakey handy good gamey wp etc etc time.

All nine finalists are looking pleased with themselves and enjoying a little breather before getting down to the real business.

Hand one he raises to 15k in the cut off.

BB Dan Ward calls,

Ac Ahrt 7h

Dan Checks Rolf bets Dan folds.

Second hand once again Rolf raises this time to 18000, but unlike the first hand no one took him on.

Rob Clarke has also doubled up through the BB calling his all in push with A A v J J. With the BB Tripping the Jacks it looked like Rob was on his way but an A on the river
gave him a stack of around 100k.

Then it was back to Rolf to have another bash.

Rolf raised 18k two off the button which was where Jonathan Spinks was sat waiting eagerly with  Qc  Qd  and he wasn't letting Rolf in cheaply so he re-raised all in for another 61800.

Rolf called to show his  Kd  Js.

On a board of  5s  7s  7h  8h  4s sees a nice double up for Spinks.

We lose David Nisbet after his all in gamble preflop against Terry Fletchers pocket Q's. Terry managed to trip the queens just to secure the deal and give him a nice looking stack of 260k.

Daniel (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2259) Ward (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2259) and Richard Kellett also seemed to get it all in preflop on the next hand,  before I could get my head around the betting they were on thier backs and the flop dealt

 Aspades Ks for Dan

 7c 7h For Richard.

  2h Jc 5d Kh 5s

Still a left with a good amount of chips around the 300k mark Richard prepares to retrieve them.

With blinds at 4,000 and 8,000 with a running ante of 800, Rob Clarke made a standard raise preflop and Richard Kellett called from the big blind. With Kellett checking blind prior to a 7s 5h 8h flop, Clarke checked behind leading to an 8d turn. Kellett led out for 30,000, but Clarke announced all in! "For f***s sake," grunted a frustrated Kellett. Meanwhile, Clarke remained as still as water. "You could have a set, two hearts," he pondered in Negreanu stylee. "Maybe even aces." Eventually Kellett made the fold and Clarke picked up the pot.

Terry Fletcher on the button raises it up in order to put Mark all in but got more than he bargained for when Ricky Kellett re-raised to to 75k from the S B. Mark has no choice but to put the remainder of his 25k in unlike Terry who choses to opt out, although none to pleased to do so.

The boys show thier monsters.

Ricky the raiser  2h  5c

Markhadtogoforit  9d  Th

 Qc  Jh  Ts  7s  Aspades  and it's a double up for Mark.

Early pace setter Richard Kellett has taken a major hit at the hands of Daniel (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2259) Ward (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2259). I caught up with action on the on the turn of a Qh Ahrt Jd 2h board where both players checked. With the pot already heaving, Kellett came out firing on the 8c river with a bet of 100,000, which was swiftly matched by Ward. "Good call," declared Kellett before any cards were shown. Ward revealed Ad 7d, to knock Kellett down to around 175,000.

As I was collating chip counts, we stumbled upon another showdown:

Mark Roberts = Aspades 7c
Terry Fletcher = Kc Qh

Board = 6c 9s Jc 9c 2h

A few hands later, Roberts was all in again, this time pushing over the top of Daniel Ward's opening raise of 27,000 for 98,000 more. Ward called.

Mark Roberts = Ac Jh
Daniel Ward = Aspades Ts

Board = Ad 8s 2h 5c Qd

He's like limescale this guy, you just can't get rid of him, and now he has over 250,000!

I must be the table jinx for no sooner do I arrive back to the table another one hits the dust this time it was....

Richard Kellett is out and becomes the 4th place finisher winning £3,186

Button raiser Ricky ups it to 30k to play on blinds of 5k/10k

He received a call from Daniel (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2259) Ward (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2259) on the BB.

Out comes the flop   9d  5s  7c

Check says Daniel

60k replies Ricky. Whilst multy tasking rubbing his hands together with glee and counting out his call bet it seems Dan is dribbling with delight at the way this betting is going.

 Turn 5h

ALL IN shouts Ricky,  CALL shouts Dan,  at the prospect of such a big pot.

Ricky's  Ac  9s  is no match for Dan's  6c  8c flopped straight.

6h on the river and wicky is off back to Albert Square.

Terry Fletcher is touching felt (no, he doesn't need the toilet) after an incredible hand. Mark Roberts limped from the button, Daniel (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2259) Ward (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2259) made up the small blind and Fletcher checked his option in he big blind. On an 8h 2d Td flop, all hell broke loose as Fletcher check-raised all in and Roberts called!

Roberts = Ac Ad
Fletcher = 8c 2c

Turn = Th, River = 7s

Ouch!

Terry Fletcher is out and becomes the 3rd place finisher winning £4,777

It is official I am no longer TheNun, I am THEJINX.

Once again I returned to the table where play was down to three-handed and immediately we saw the elimination of Fletcher.

With a depleted stack of 40k he pushed all in from the SB with 7c 4c finding Mark in the BB holding  Ad  9h.

The A high holds on a 2c 9s Jh Qc 5h and we are HU.

Title: Re: DTD Monthly Freezeout Final Day - Interactive
Post by: The_nun on October 05, 2008, 10:55:04 PM
Mark Roberts is out and becomes the 2nd place finisher winning £7,257

Three hands later and it's all over, no HU battling for these chaps.

Mark Roberts calls up the SB but Daniel (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2259) Ward (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2259) was having none of that cheap flop nonsense and raised it another 18k.

Mark, feeling lucky with nothing more than Ks Kh burning a hole in his palms can't wait to get it all in.

Dan calls with Ad Qh

Board = 6d 9d 2s Ahrt 3c

Ward has his man covered by just a few thousand and it's good game, well played and off to the cash desk ready for the journey home.

And on that note, the fastest DT (http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/)D (http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/) monthly freezeout in history is done and dusted, with Daniel (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2259) Ward (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2259) triumphing in what was a whirlwind of a final table. Rarely did someone deliberate, Oscar it up or reuqest a clock, and all players were super aggressive to the point of almost every pot being met with a preflop raise.

All that's left is for me to thank The Nun for her outstanding debut, and husband Darren who provided an extra pair of eyes at key times during the rapid-fire final table. Of course, no update from Nottingham would be complete without giving a big thumbs up to everybody from Simon, Maggie, Nick (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=310) Whiten (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=310) and all the DT (http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/)D (http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/) staff who make this such a wondeful place to work.

Oh, and Ironside, I didn't forget you, so here's a special parting gift for everybody's favourtie Scottish gooseberry...

After a nervous start I settled in and did what I could to help Snoops, who I must say was most patient and helpful and very entertaining, THANKS Adam.x.

It is a lot harder than one would imagine trying to keep up on stacks, table moves and hands. Trying to report exactly how hands commenced , suits etc and trying to get names right, along with the betting. All I could do with my inexperience was knuckle down and do my best.

Not helping either was the small matter of my Laptop being poorly and using DTD's. I am now on my in laws, but hopefully should be back on line again this week.

It was nice to have players coming up to me the next day thanking and congratulating me on the updates after they had been home and read them. Also nice to read the support on line.

Thanks also to DTD's Simon and Maggie for continuously checking up on me.

My roll really wouldn't be worth your time and effort.

I winced when I saw an unlucky hand that you lost a lot of chips with and kinda regretted my post which wasn't really meant to be serious - shoulda put a smiley in.

I still hate table thumping, from pot winners or pot losers, but apologies for any offence caused.
