Title: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: snoopy1239 on December 06, 2008, 04:16:00 AM With day two in the bag (quite literally), it's Italian stallion Cristiano (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=512) Blanco (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=512) who leads the pack, his 286,800 pipping serial finalist Steve (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=414) Jelinek (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=414) to the post, with Trevor (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=445) Reardon (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=445) leading the chasing pack in third. At the bottom of the pile is Mohammed Javed, whose meagre 2,400 in chips is a direct result of his last second clash with James (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2681) Mitchell (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2681), an encounter that propelled Mitchell from serial grinder to potential final tablist. Meanwhile, bets are currently out on whether Javed will bother turning up with so few chips, the fact that he's a local boy perhaps swaying odds in favour of a show.
As Floppy and I departed, we raced towards the car having held out for our Midnight feast at MacDonalds, the branch next door to our hotel blessed with a 24 hour drive thru. Little did we know, however, that at 2.30am, there would be a queue of cars running into double digits and that we'd have to wait before eating our body weight in meat. Eventually, we managed to fill our tum tums with junk food, and are now back in our hotel rooms, safely tucked under our newly greased duvets and eagerly anticipating tomorrow's day of poker fun and frolics. Play commences at 2pm, so please do join us then. Until that much anticipated moment, feel free to give a shout out to whoever you may be supporting here at the Anniversary Cup. Many players tend to jump onto the computer terminals during the break to check out the updates, so really appreciate any good luck messages you feel inclined to throw their way. Eerie ghost town feeling here this morning after the bedlam of last night, with just a few of today's players trickling in bit by bit. Simon Trumper is intent on starting all comps on time, so I doubt today will be any different. Currently in the vicinity is John Eames, Kevin O'Connell, Bernie Holmes and Rocket Man Paul Gourlay. David Jones appears to be taking 41 winks instead of the standard 40, but I'm sure he'll roll in shortly. Only losers get here on time.

I think the players are still all so deep it's hard to pick anyone as a clear favourite. Even the short stacks have 50BB's aka a 'Tiffany Michelle' short stack. Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: snoopy1239 on December 06, 2008, 02:01:18 PM Players are now debagging (no, not the debagging of your school years - that would be a frightful experience) and counting out those chips to make sure the janitor didn't pinch one over night. As such, play should commence in about a minute's time.

Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: snoopy1239 on December 06, 2008, 02:03:21 PM Sadly, it looks as though we won't be witnessing any Rocky-like comebacks, as Mohammed Javed has chosen not to return to his 2,400 stack, understandably deciding that sleeping was a more favourable option to being eliminated from poker tournaments. Does that mean he has avoided that sickening feeling of being knocked out of a main event?

Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: snoopy1239 on December 06, 2008, 02:07:16 PM And within just a couple of hands, Mohammed Javed is officially eliminated from the Anniversary Cup. Unlike yesteryear, you don't get to see a board (well, not see quite, as you're not even here), rather your hand is simply folded if you're not in your seat. And of course, that's exactly what happened as the blinds hit Javed, meaning the local boy finishes in 28th.

If i had the micro stack, I would still come back to throw them in and hope to spin it up. Those chips must be worth at least £150-200 at this stage of the tourney. Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: NoflopsHomer on December 06, 2008, 02:18:17 PM First hand on table 31 and the board reads 3c 8c Qc Qh with David Anderson getting into a raising war against Paul Brammer. Anderson eventually gets the last raise all-in.
Brammer, "This is so sick! Gah...I can't pass. I call." Brammer: 3h 3s Anderson: 8s 8h The river is the 9h and Brammer gets knocked down to about 100k while conversely Anderson is up to 200k. Brammer begins an inquest, "Would you pass?" asking almost everyone in the room. Will Fry says he wouldn't, as does everyone else, but Brammer is still chastising himself for not folding. Is there a player more focused than John (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1720) Burke (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1720) at the moment? He lost one pot with 5d 2d to Paul Gourlay's Aspades 9s on the Ahrt 5h 8d 4d 6h board before having to showdown Aspades 9s himself on a 5c Qs 3c 4h 4d board to Cristiano Blanco's Ahrt Jd. Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: snoopy1239 on December 06, 2008, 02:39:53 PM Fraser Bain, Alan Jennings and Kevin (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=234) O'Connell (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=234) reached the turn of a 7h Ahrt 2h 4h board. Alan Jennings bet 2,200, O'Connell called. On the 8s river, Jennings led out again, this time for 5,000. O'Connell reluctantly called, but his 9h 6h lost out to Jennings' Jh 5h.

The hand itself was a tense affair, and I joined the party on the turn of a Tc 5s 8s Ks board, where Jelinek had led out for 5,000. O'Connell, cigarette protruding from his mouth, mulled over his options before making the call and reaching a 9d river. Another bet from Jelinek, this time 7,500, was called a little quicker by O'Connell on this final street, but it was a mistimed moved, Jelinek tabling 5c 5h for the flopped set. Couple of early hits for O'Connell.

Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: snoopy1239 on December 06, 2008, 02:50:55 PM Not too much movement from David Jones as of yet, but neighbour Will Fry seems to be mixing it up a little during these early stages and played a number of hands. He just took one down on the flop in a battle of the blinds encounter with Trevor Reardon, so it would appear the recent EPT winner has no intentions on just creeping into the money. I guess half a million Euros can have that effect.

Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: snoopy1239 on December 06, 2008, 02:58:15 PM Looked like there was a raise and a call preflop (both in early position), but either way, Liaquat Javed and Lee McMillan saw a 8s 9h 8h, which was subsequently checked to a Qc turn where Javed bet out 6,000. McMillan seemed tempted momentarily, but ultimately turned over Aspades Kc and relinquished his hand. Javed showed Ahrt 8c, and will have been disappointed not to have received more action, especially with the loose image he appears to have cemented himself throughout this event.
Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: snoopy1239 on December 06, 2008, 03:01:55 PM A mighty relieved John (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1720) Burke (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1720) just breathed a sigh of relief after surviving an all-in against Ints Grinbaums. Burke's chips crossed the line on a 5d Td Kc flop, and although he wasn't keen, Grinbaums made a reluctant call. Burke may have been delighted to see someone call his Ks Kd, but the last hand he wanted to see would have been Ad Qd. A 3h turn and Th river, however, squashed any fears, and the veteran doubled through.

I'm not sure how we go there, but I was lured over to a Tc Td Aspades 6h 2d board by Paul (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=325) Gourlay (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=325) who announced, "A big pot's brewing." But a quick glance at the pot informed me that it had already brewed. Almost before the river was even dealt, Fry led out for 20,000, only for Blanco to declare himself all-in in equally, if not more so, quick time. A disgruntled Fry sat back in his seat and began to torture himself by running through the possible hands. "Ace-ten, tens even?" he mused. Eventually, he swallowed defeat and released his hand, a motion that was rewarded by Blanco showing Ahrt Th. "Keep calling and hitting lucky flops on me," grumbled Fry under his breath, the EPT Budapest clearly not getting his own way during these latter stages.

Moments later, he made it a total of 5,000 to play, which was enough to take down the pot. Just to prove that he wasn't simply punishing the limp with a preflop bluff, Defty showed his hand to Anderson, which I imagine included an ace.

Js 8d 5s LeKnave bets 7,600. Big TR calls. 4c LeKnave bets 15,500. Big TR thinks for a while, but with each passing second his hand becomes weaker, he folds what I would guess is a 9-9 type hand. Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: snoopy1239 on December 06, 2008, 04:35:56 PM A crowd (well, a small gathering) closing in on the far table signifies action, and as I reach my destination, I am met by an all-in from David Jones. Paul Gourlay fills me in on the gory details, revealing that Will Fry (UTG), James Mitchell (SB) and LeKnave (BB) all saw a cheap 7h 9h 7s flop where LeKnave led for 3,500, Fry raised to 7,500, Mitchell made it a total of 19,000 and LeKnave pushed all in. With Fry side-stepping out of the way, the decision was left on the shoulders of Mitchell.
James Mitchell considers his options, as LeKnave remains as still as water, an expression reminiscent of someone who has just released wind and doesn't want anyone to know. (http://blondepoker.com/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=24277&g2_serialNumber=1) In the end, Mitchell releases his hand, and LeKnave takes down a chunky pot without the need for a double through. James Mitchell picks up Qc Qd on the button, Will Fry gets Kh Kd from the big blind. A 7c 8h 8c 3s 3h board helps EPT Budapest's first champion with a timeley double up.
Meanwhile another exit has occured on the other table. Bernie Holmes with Qc Qd on the button, Rickie Vedhara had 8d 8s and all the chips went in preflop with a board of Kh Aspades 6s Qs 2d coming up. A quick tally of the chips and Holmes has Vedhara covered by literally a few hundred chips to knock him out in 24th spot. Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: snoopy1239 on December 06, 2008, 04:43:49 PM Swings and roundabouts for David Jones at the moment as he doubled up Rocket Man Paul Gourlay. With a raise before him, LeKnave flat-called from the button only to see two calls behind him, one of whom was Paul Gourlay in the big blind who threw in the extra 3,500. After everyone checked the 8c Ahrt Tc flop, two stacks found their way into the middle on the 4d turn, Gourlay's two pair with 8h 4s just looking to avoid a jack, ace or ten against LeKnave's Ad Jc. A 8d was overkill of sorts, but meant that Gourlay had received that double up that he had been so desperate for.
We'll grab LeKnave's new count shortly. Brammer flung over Aspades Js and fixed his eyes on Mitchell who grimaced a little as he could only show Ahrt Ts.
The river was the Tc and Brammer visibly sank and he was 3-outered for the whole pot (3 or 8 would've been a split). To make matters worse, Mitchell had Brammer just covered and eliminated his opponent in 23rd place. We did when Paul Gourlay and Nick Hicks clashed though, the latter leading out for 20,000 on the river of a 4s 6s 3c 4c Qs board and causing a frustrated Gourlay to comment, "Can't believe I let you catch that river." "I know I have, haven't I? he probed. As has become custom, Hicks froze, which brought back unhappy memories of my teens when I tried to speak to girls. "I can't pay you off again." "Just talk to me," he pleaded as Hicks continued to play musical statues. In the end, Gourlay made the fold, and Hicks simply slid his cards into the muck. It's not often you see Hicks' cards, and this time was no different.

Case 1: Will Fry raises to 5k and Nick Hicks calls from the big blind. Jh Td 7h Nick check/calls a bet of 6.5k. Check check. 6s Check check. Th Check check. Nick's Aspades Qh is good against Will's Kc 9c. Case 2: Fry raises to 5,200 a couple of hands later and Cristiano Blanco reraises to 15,000. Fry calls Qd 2s 6d Fry checks and Cristiano bets 25k but before he can put the chips down, Fry has already mucked. One of two things will happen for Fry, I think, either he'll go on a rush (by getting big hands and getting paid or hitting big flops with filth) or he could well go out before the money. I can't see him grinding. Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: snoopy1239 on December 06, 2008, 05:52:46 PM Bernie Holmes raised what appeared to be just over 6,000 preflop, and Luke Marsh defended from the big blind. On the 3c 5s 4c flop, Marsh bet 32,500, a large amount considering the current pot size. After a dwell that would have made Terry Griffiths look rapid, Holmes made the fold.

Well, they may not have witnessed the action of other tables, but they're definitely playing, although only just. "They've got the shortest stacks as well," he continued. "Are they just folding round to the big blind?" John Eames has noted how passive his table is, but doesn't want to get to involved yet, "There's a calling station to my left, [liaquat Javed] but if we lose a couple more players then I'll be able to abuse the bubble." Cristiano Blanco just got caught, fingers in the till, he bet 20k on the river 9s 7h 3c 9d 2c, Mitchell made the call and the Italian said sheepishly, "Ten high," showing Tc 8c. Mitchell showed a winning Ad Js. Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: outragous76 on December 06, 2008, 06:11:56 PM Got a feeling Le Knave is about to hit a rush!

Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: snoopy1239 on December 06, 2008, 06:16:53 PM After dwindling all the way down to just 5,500, Liaquat Javed threw in his remaining chips blind from UTG and received two callers in David Anderson and John (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1720) Burke (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1720). As Javed rose from his seat in anticipation of a sharp exit, his two opponents inevitably checked down an Aspades Qh 7h 6h Jh board, Anderson beating Burke at least with Jd 9c. With the table watching on eagerly, Javed peeled his cards, but simply shook his head and turned over 4d 4c. Down to 21.
Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: NoflopsHomer on December 06, 2008, 06:17:03 PM Cristiano Blanco vs Will Fry - Part LXVI
Blanco leads for 8k on the turn of a 2s 6c 9d 4d board after both check the flop. "Your pair is good," says Fry. This battle goes to the Italian, but the war continues. But not right now, as we are now on a 1 hour dinner break. First on James Mitchell's big blind (who called) they checked a 9h Jh 5s flop before Mitchell check/called a bet of 11k on the Kh turn but passed to a 25k bet on the 7h river. Big TR seemed to pick up his cards enough so that Paul Gourlay caught the sight of one of them, which was shown to the table. It was the Ad. Soon after he raised to 7,000 UTG and Cristiano Blanco made the call before both checked the 6h Kc Js flop. Reardon checked the 5s turn Blanco who read it as a green light and bet 14k immediately. Reardon folded. Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: snoopy1239 on December 06, 2008, 07:41:30 PM Speaking to Billy Defty during the break, I began to get a feel of why his table was the one seeing so little action in comparison to the other two, but to see for myself, I thought I'd note down a few hands:
(1) David Anderson took it down with a button raise of 6,900. Defty showed 7c 3c in the big blind. (2) Defty and Mark Wilson saw a cheap Ts 9c 3s flop in the blinds. Defty won the pot with a bet of 4,000 on the 4d turn. (3) Anderson snatched another preflop, this time with a raise of 6,600. (4) Anderson took his second consecutive set of blinds and antes by raising the same amount. (5) Mark Wilson bumped it up to 6,300 from the cut-off and John (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1515) Eames (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1515) called on the button. On the 9c 4c 6c flop, Wilson check-raised Eames' leading bet of 10,500 to 45,500, leaving himself around 50,000 behind. Eames, I believe, declared ace high before eventually making the fold. Mitchell conceded behind, but his Ahrt Js wasn't good enough, Hicks picking up the pot with Kh Qd.

On a Qd 3d 5c flop, Luke Marsh leads out for 12k. Bernie Holmes instantly jams for about 150k, after a few minutes thought, Marsh makes the call. Holmes turns over Ad Qh against the drawtastic 6d 4d of Marsh, but the draws have really been bricking in this tournament and after a Jh turn and Th river, it's Holmes who is on over 300k and Marsh drops to just 100k. I only arrived on the river to see Defty bet 25k on the river causing Eames some discomfort, eventually Eames called with all the manner that he was giving away a gift.
Defty said, "I'll split it with you?" and turned over 4c 4d. Eames shows Aspades 2d to win. Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: snoopy1239 on December 06, 2008, 09:03:24 PM Steve Jelinek raised to 7,000 preflop from UTG+1, Kevin O'Connell made the call one seat along and the two players proceeded towards a 3d 4h Ac flop. Check, check to a 2s turn where Jelinek bet out 7,000. O'Connell called. Aspades river, and again Jelinek bet out 7,000. Without too much hesitation, O'Connell made the call and showed 5c 4c, whilst Jelinek can only muster Ahrt Kc.
As Jelinek sighed dejectedly, O'Connell tried to offer some comforting words: "Think yourself lucky, you could have lost more money." "I don't feel very lucky," replied Jelinek. Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: snoopy1239 on December 06, 2008, 09:07:25 PM Faces starting to sag now as plays grinds to a near halt. Ints Grinbaums is fidgeting in his seat relentlessly, whilst even Nick Hicks looks as though he's started to feel fatigued. Meanwhile, John Eames seems a bit tired, whilst David Jones looks like he's going to melt. Long structures don't suit everyone, so it's very much of who will make the first mistake.
"you can't play this long and not get paid," said Paul Gourlay, perhaps beginning to feel the intense loom of the bubble. Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: BLUESLASSUK on December 06, 2008, 09:11:03 PM keep going alan me and paresh are behind you and keeping an eye lol xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: NoflopsHomer on December 06, 2008, 09:17:26 PM LeKnave shoves for 47k on top of Cristiano Blanco's midposition raise. Blanco folds, trying to get to see Jones' cards but fails - like this boat.
(http://failblog.files.wordpress.com/2008/01/failboat.jpg) Meanwhile Luke Marsh has doubled up through Steve Jelinek. Jelinek raised from the button to about 8k, and Marsh had reraised another 16k. Jelinek made the call. Ac 3d Ad Marsh led for 15k and Jelinek made it 30k. Marsh made it all-in and Jelinek made it, "Call." Marsh: Ahrt 9s Jelinek: Aspades 8d 7d Additional outs for Jelinek. 2s But no, the nine plays and Marsh doubles through. Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: snoopy1239 on December 06, 2008, 09:19:54 PM Just as they were creeping into the break, I tried to note down a few pots of note, but can only say that there simply were't any. The action at the moment is mainly preflop with players conceding blinds with too much resistance. Pots are making it down the streets, but often one bet is good enough to take it down.

Having raised it up from the cut-off, Will Fry reraised on the button only for LeKnave to push all in. I imagine it wasn't too much more for Fry to call, because as he folded there was a big sigh from the other players, Paul Gourlay even saying, "How can you fold that?" "I folded a monster," said Trevor Reardon. "Ace jack I had." Either way, LeKnave survives, but remains one of the shorter-stacks.

With table chip daddy David Anderson making a standard preflop raise with Ac Qh, Billy Defty repopped him from the big blind with 4s 4d and Anderson made the call. Not the worst of flops, as the board came 2d 4c Ahrt to give Defty middle set and Anderson top pair. Defty led out for 20,000, Anderson made it 60,000 and Defty pushed, for what rumour has it was an additional 70,000 (or thereabouts). Knowing he was up excrement creek without a paddle, but was unable to make the fold. The 3h turn teased a split pot, but to no avail as the 7h blanked out and saw the pot sail over to Port Defty.
I love this photo for three reasons. One, Will Fry getting the sneakiest of peeks in the background, two, Defty's look of sheer confidence as Anderson mulls, and finally, John (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1720) Burke (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1720)'s model like pose as he detects the glare of the camera. McMillan found himself all-in on the turn of a 6d Tc Qc 8c board with Ahrt 6s but was drawing dead against Defty's nifty set of Queens. So McMillan goes out in 14th place winning £1,860. Prize jump for everyone else. Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: snoopy1239 on December 07, 2008, 01:03:27 AM As we witnessed an exit on one table, there was a virtual double through on the other. With Nick Hicks raising it up preflop, John Eames and Ints Grinbaums both called, leading to a 4-5-8 flop. Everyone checked, but on the queen turn, Eames led for around 20-25,000 and Grinbaums shoved. Hicks and Eames both passed, but it was a crucial pot for the Latvian who has really been struggling of late.

Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: snoopy1239 on December 07, 2008, 01:25:50 AM Kevin (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=234) O'Connell (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=234) raised to 12,000 preflop and received two callers, one of whom was David Anderson on the button. On the 9s 4s Jc flop, O'Connell continue bet 25,000 and Anderson flat-called. O'Connell fired another bullet on the 2h turn, this time to the tune of 50,000.
As Anderson mulled over his options, O'Connell begged, "Pass, you're frightening me to death." He then proceeded to shake his hands before him and tighten the laces on his hood. Anderson called. A 5d river triggered a third bet from O'Connell, and it was the same figure as before, 50,000. "Pass!" he exclaimed. Anderson shook his head, perhaps believing that the 50,000 was a milker. "Oh, he's passing," continued O'Connell. As Anderson continued to dwell, O'Connell rose from his seat and pleaded, Don't slow-roll me, whatever you do." Moments later, Anderson called and flipped Js Ts, but O'Connell had the goods with 9c 9d for the flopped set and scooped the pot with delight. "I knew you had the under-pair," concluded Anderson. "Just wasn't sure if you'd hit the set or not." Anderson down to 300,000. Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: NoflopsHomer on December 07, 2008, 01:27:17 AM Nick Hicks raises to 10k from the cutoff, repop from John Eames to 30k and a call from Nick.
6s 2d 2c Check, 40k from Eames. Reluctant pass from Nick. On the other table raise to 10.5k from Will Fry and he gets repopped to 25k from David Anderson. The EPT Budapest champion calls but check/folds on the 8d 5d 6d flop, Anderson shows Th Td. Fry says he had a big Ace. I would've have preferred if he said he had a big Four though. It would've been more amusing. Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: NoflopsHomer on December 07, 2008, 01:29:14 AM LeKnave pushes on big TR's big blind....

It was Blanco who got the ball rolling, his raise from UTG being called by Will Fry and Anderson on the button and big blind respectively. With the dealer popping out a 6d Ad Js flop, Blanco followed up with a continue bet which was smooth-called by Anderson. On the Qd, however, it was Anderson who took the bull (Italian stallion in this case) by the horns, leading out for what I understand was 50,000. Blanco flat-called. The 8c triggered another bet from Anderson, this time 80,000, which led Blanco to setting up tent in the think tank, slipping on his carpet slippers and pulling up the duvet. After a good while, and with a small crowd closing in, Blanco folded, and was met by his foe revealing Tc 9c for the rivered straight, a hand that certainly drew a slight gasp from certain members of the audience.

Blanco after that hand... Although he was inches away from folding (even picking up his cards, holding them vertically and tapping them gently against the felt), Grinsbaums surprised everyone by abruptly sliding a column of purple chips across the line.
It was a coin flip in the end, Pearson's Tc Th hoping to avoid one of six outs against the Latvian's Ahrt Qh. The flop was a safe one, the 6h 2d 8c missing Grinsbaums by a country mile. The 6s looked good too, although I'm sure Pearson's heart actually stopped beating as the card was being dealt. But then... But of course, it wasn't to be, and whilst Trev was forced to relinquish his hold on the comp, a relieved Marsh survived, much to the chagrin of John (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1515) Eames (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1515) and David (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2102) Jones (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2102) who seem as keen as a tub of mustard to squeeze into the last nine.
Unfortunately for them, we're all going to have wait till tomorrow instead to see if they are a part of a our final table profile pics, an honour that should be motivation enough for any player. Play will resume, as it has done on previous days, at 2pm, and will continue until we have our winner, who will be a highly deserved one in need. Please join us then and offer your support to whomever you wish to take DT (http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/)D (http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/) gold. But before then, 40 winks. ;sleep; Title: Re: DTD Anniversary Cup - Day 3 Post by: action man on December 07, 2008, 04:37:19 AM In the immortal words of Porky Pig, "that's a wrap folks". They have loads more experience than any of the other players.Unfortunately for them, we're all going to have wait till tomorrow instead to see if they are a part of a our final table profile pics, an honour that should be motivation enough for any player.
