Simon,

It don't matter what the result is today, you have not let us down, & never will.

Play your own game, & enjoy yourself.

I have nearly finished writing a piece about your match against Paul Jackson - you were awesome!

Good luck mate - we are rooting for you, but remember, the result don't matter - we could not be more proud of you.

If any of the gang can keep me or the blonde Forum updated during the match, we'd just LOVE that.

Allegedly, he always tries to garner an edge, or advntage, in any deal. Least, thats what Burnley John asked me to say!

I think he prefers Chubby.

LOL  it was indeed Burnley John that christened Simon "the edge".  It started out as a bit of a light hearted, banter type insult, and for the rest of the evening it sort of got repeated a few times and has just stuck. I think as nicknames go it is a pretty good one.

on stars you open the software then on the top tab choose account then go down to select change image,

after that your on your own i refuse to turn the images on it helps keep track of stack sizes that way

I am sorry to say our Hero, Simon Nowab, came up just a shade short, & finished runner-up in the Party Poker World Heads Up Championship. Unlucky Simon, but we are enormously proud of you.

You ARE the man!

Unlucky Simon, when the pain of defeat wears off, and you reflect on what you have achieved, you can be very proud of yourself, and look forward to the rewards that wll surely come your way.

And as Rob says ....... BRING ON VEGAS ...... the Brits are coming !!!

Well done mate.

Bad luck Simon........I'm gutted for you. So close and I know what it would have meant to you. However, at least you can say you are now officially "The 3rd best heads up player in the world". Rob

It needs to be said that Rob Yong taught Simon Nowab how to play Heads Up. After Simon thrashed - & I mean thrashed - a hapless Paul ActionJack Jackson in the Quarter Finals (I think) Simon was quick to pay credit to Rob Yong. OK, Burnley John helped too, but I don't think Simon will deny that Rob gave him the "edge" (oops) he needed in Heads-Up.

Tikay you are quite right; spoke to Simon at some length prior to his semi with John and he said that he was using plays from Rob's playbook; which begs the question how much do you want for the spreadsheet Rob?
Comiserations Simon but don't worry with the form you and Johnny boy have shown we will take the yanks apart. Roll on Vegas.
See you and John when you get back tomorrow.
Well Done
Steve

Womble, I have only given Simon 3 out of 15 aggressive but highly risky plays in my spreadsheet, however, I am sure than Simon has been using them much more sparingly than I do, and listening to Burnely Jon much more, which is probably wise. 2005 had been the year of Chub and Grump so far. If they were nice blokes it would make it even better........when are you going over to WSOP Womble??

Well! - looks like Rob may have earned himself a new nickname.

Rob "the playbook" Yong.

I think it could work.  Although one has to wonder if he's got the moves why couldn't he beat a chubby magician in motorcycle leathers at Blackpool?!  - Rob, your response please!

I PREFER "THE YONGSTA" THANKS GREG. IN RESPONSE TO YOUR QUESTION, I'M BETTER IN THEORY THAN IN PRACTICE!
