Title: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: NoflopsHomer on April 11, 2009, 05:57:53 PM So welcome to the Easter edition of the DTD Monthly where the only thing anyone wants to win is eggs-actly first prize. We might be clashing with the Irish Open and festivals down south but fear not as today sees the long awaited return of Junglecat to the blonde updates. Somehow we managed to tear him away from the $10 rebuys he keeps smashing up on iPoker to make the long journey 'oop norf'.
So tonight the tournament starts at 7pm and since I have written this introduction on the train down here I have no idea of runners but I'll edit this bit here later to make it seem as though I know exactly what I'm talking about. I'm running a book on how long it'll take me to pass out, if anyone wants to do odds for that then let me know... In the meantime, until we start. Please enjoy this very funky video. Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: NoflopsHomer on April 11, 2009, 07:07:53 PM Junglecat here! Temporary connection issues mean I've hijacked Chris' computer temporarily.
With the roar of thousands of clinking pints of guiness and lusty bellows of laughter echoing distantly in nthe background as the Irish Open goes into full swing, some may be asking "Why Dusk Till (http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/) Dawn (http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/)?" Well let me tell you! Firstly the slightly more affordable buyin may suit the more modest budget of many poker players. The player over in Dublin may be having a great time, but come the final reckoning, the vast majority will find themselves nursing hefty hangovers, scratching around to come up with the funds for a packet of Nurofen as the ugly, granite face of fiscal reality (picture Gordon Brown's menacing visage if Tony had turned round and said "Actually Gordion, I think I'll go for another term!") stares them unerringly in the eye. Bankroll Management FTW! Second, DT (http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/)D (http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/)'s excellent Nottingham location, nestled attractively within reach of both the northern and southern extremities of the country, make its catchment area large and travel arrangements convenient. Who wants to sit munching on a stale packet of Ryan Air peanuts when alternatively, within moments of arrival here, you can be presented with the world famous Dusk Till (http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/) Dawn (http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/) burger, which I rank as one of the best burgers ever created. It has a steak in it FFS! SHHIIIIIIIPPPPPPP! There's another great reason for the players to be here today, which I will reveal once I get my laptop working. Meanwhile, there's already some excited shouts coming from the tournament. Sounds like the carnage has begun! Floppy has the details.... Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: NoflopsHomer on April 11, 2009, 07:17:43 PM Disaster early on for Con Cronin, he held Aspades Ac on an Ad Jc Tc board against James Morris' Ahrt Jh but Sunil Mistry had also come into the hand, holding the nutrageous Kh Qc and the board didn't pair off coming with a 7d turn and 5c river.
Mistry is on almost 30k already and using my incredibly deductive powers, I would surmise that he could well be our early chip leader. Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: NoflopsHomer on April 11, 2009, 07:21:25 PM Rod is still having some logging on problems, but some of the other blondes playing are:
Chili, Red Dog and Stuart Hopkin, all sharing a table. Jim 'Bookiebasher' Moult sharing a table with Chunkymick. Chris Bruce. James 'AgentChip109' Edgington sitting next to WSOPE finalist James Keys. Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: NoflopsHomer on April 11, 2009, 07:40:09 PM Wandering around the poker room, I bumped into Paul King who hasn't been on the circuit for a couple of months as Alan Vinnicombe took down a decent pot with A-T vs A-7 on a 2-3-8-A-A board, the size slightly hampered due to both player's cautiousness over the 3 diamonds which had come on the flop.
Other players spotted include UpTheMariners aka Daniel Rudd, Nick Hicks in his standard headphones/deep concentration look and Matt 'EvilPie'. Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: Rotty on April 11, 2009, 07:42:23 PM Good luck to my kid brother ( Gavin Colclough ) also Pitchy and Taxi ( Paul Putchford and Scott Marsh ) :)
Thanks in advance for the updates folks Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: amcgrath1uk on April 11, 2009, 07:43:40 PM gl gl gl to all Blondes
vwd Floppy too :) Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: NoflopsHomer on April 11, 2009, 07:44:10 PM As Rod struggles on manfully with his laptop unable to connect to the internet, Barry Neville bellows from the middle tier, "Floppeh, get over 'ere."
I oblige to a medium sized pot with a couple of thousand in between Marcus Bebb-Jones and another player. The board reads Th 5d 2s Qd Ts and the other player bets a small 500 on the river and Marcus just calls. The other player turns Qh Jh and Marcus flips Kd Td for the winning hand. " 'ow can you just call there on t' river?" asks Barry, "fookin' 'ell, I be raisin' there every time!" As I scribble this all down, Barry says, "By the way Floppeh, can you send that Junglecat guy to me in a bit, I want 'im to 'elp write me memoirs..." Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: NoflopsHomer on April 11, 2009, 07:49:35 PM Red Dog trying desperately not to sneeze as Maria looks on. (Also note Stuart Hopkin clearly toking on some reefer there...)
(http://blondepoker.com/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=25965&g2_serialNumber=1) Sam Trickett didn't make it to the Irish Open and is here instead, "I just had pocket 4's on a K-T-8 board and I'm trying to look at my cards but I'm actually unable to pick them off the felt, I managed to flick them up so the whole table sees and of course afterwards the turn is a 4..." Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: NoflopsHomer on April 11, 2009, 07:57:59 PM JC again :
The allure of the Irish Open hasn't culled all the big names from the roster of players today. Looking round the room there are plenty of characters lurking in the heavy throng of players, ensuring we are bound to see some interesting action as the tournament progresses. Will Fry, this season's EPT Budapest winner, is looking fresh as a daisy, appearing relaxed as he casually browsed a magazine at his table. He told us moments ago that he had had a pretty bad patch online, losing $35k in a relatively short space of time, only to win it all back again. "It's hard to go out and have fun with your mates when you've just lost $5k online!" he told us. Things have picked up for Will though and he seems confident of a good finish here... Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: NoflopsHomer on April 11, 2009, 08:01:13 PM JC:
Also in attendance is The Legend - a man whose exploits throughout UK poker history have earned him a capitalized nickname - Micky Wernick. Should Mickey succumb today in painful fashion to a bad beat, he will no doubt be disappointed he won't receive the sympathetic shoulder of the man they call "Flushy" who consoled him so effectively the last time these two shared the felt. Pete Linton is out, putting his stack in with Tens vs Ahrt 3h on a 5h 4h 5c board. Another four on the turn but the ace on the river killed him. Daniel Rudd (UpTheMariners) has secured an early double up with the help of a set-over-set encounter. Also spotted, Johnny Hewston, Tracey Dell, Greek Jack, Des Jonas. Paul King looks to be out. Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: JungleCat03 on April 11, 2009, 08:26:43 PM Haha, we have beaten the system!
Well not really but at least we've sidestepped round the connection issues, courtesy of Chris' vodaphone card. I'm a tad behind so excuse me not bringing you directly into the action but I just wanted to finish off what I was saying earlier. A big reason why people might have bowled along to DTD tonight is to pay tribute to the man, the myth, Chris Hall. Mainly renowned for sporting hoodies whose pattern looks much like what I would expect to see if someone ate one of Noah Boeken's garish hoodies and then vomited it out, his reputation has just experienced a quantum leap forward. I watched on last night as Chris threatened to take down the $500 SCOOP OMaha Hi/Lo event. It was a rollercoaster ride and ultimately Chris fell just short of the title, but still managed a highly impressive third place for $33,000 or so. Hearty congratulations to my updating colleague. I have seen him play Omaha hi/lo for some time now and his achievement is made even more impressive as my observations led me to believe that he is largely clueless about the game. His win serves as a sobering reminder that over the short-term, poker is mostly a luck-based game where lack of skill is no obstacle to winning large quantities of cash! Well done to Chris, the new Moneymaker imo! (Only joking congrats mate - I'm just jealous ;) ) Back to the action! Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: NoflopsHomer on April 11, 2009, 08:39:32 PM On a 4h Aspades Qc 2s Kd board, the small blind bets out 225 and gets a middle position caller before Chris Bruce bumps it up to 1,000 from the button. The small blind now makes it 2,725 and the caller folds.
(http://blondepoker.com/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=25970&g2_serialNumber=1) We get some Hollywooding as Bruce asks the small blind if he thinks his two pair are good. Of course they both get the rest of the chips in. Both holding J-T. ;kc; Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: NoflopsHomer on April 11, 2009, 08:43:43 PM Table Trickett/Wernick

(http://blondepoker.com/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=25972&g2_serialNumber=1) He asks the Maddish one, "Do you want me to call?" Turk, "Yes, I do." (pause) "No...no I don't." Causing enough curiosity he gets the call and Turk shows Ts 7h beating the Ahrt Jc that his opponent held. Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: NoflopsHomer on April 11, 2009, 08:48:23 PM Rana Gurnham bets 1,200 on the river of an A-Q-A-5-2 board but folds with a frown when his opponent in the small blind makes it a suspiciously looking 2,500 with a small river check/raise.

A moment ago the burly Yorkshireman bellowed over "Eh Joonglecat coom 'ere!" I was in the midst of a chat with M3boy (15,000 and happy with his progress so far) when Barry chewed my ear off in his unique profane manner. "Eh Joongle, I can't believe the silly c***s I 'ave to put up with. Wost pley ah've ever seen! Silly c***s!(*)" (*) (Due to its repeated usage over the next few lines, this will be abbreviated to SC for brevity's sake.) The action that initiated this angry, if amusing, outburst from Barry came with our man opening UTG with pocket kings to 400. "Lad in t'seat next t'me only guz and flat curls with pocket queens, SC, meaning everywon else on't table bloody calls too! Flop cooms 7-5-blank, ah bet out 1,400, now 'ee flat calls and woman in't position gers all-in! She's only got bloody 7-5! What's the SC doing flat curling with queens, letting them all-in! Ah'm steaming Joongle!" With one more yell of "SCs!", Neville retired, his face like the proverbial bulldog chewing a lemon-flavoured wasp. He was left with a pittance after that hand which soon became even less than that as his nemesis with the queens polished off his queen-nine. If you see him around for the next hour, I would advise not getting in his way! He wasn't wrong! It began with a couple of limps, which Sam raised up to 700 on the button. Jim winced as he recalled flat calling with tens from the blinds... "I should have re-raised" he recalled sadly. The flop fell Kh 6s 4h, Jim checked and called Sam's c-bet. The turn was the 2c and Jim checked again only to face another bet from Sam. "I thought I was ahead there" he said, though he dwelt for some time before calling Sam's second bullet. The river was one of the ultimate action cards, the 5h and Jim immediately moved all-in. Sam iinstantly announced "I've got the nuts!" and called, showing down a less than nutty, though good for the pot, got there on the river 7s 8s whilst a saddened Jim showed his outdrawn tens as he hit the rail. (http://blondepoker.com/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=25984&g2_serialNumber=2) What an atmosphere it is too! The buzz on nights like this at DTD is second to none. Some cardrooms are souless and quiet, whilst here the banter amongst the players means there is always something interesting going on, some tale of debauchery or hideous misfortune being related with a dry grin or volley of expletives or other less salubrious behaviour going on. As follows... Dave Smith appears to be down from his starting stack, though he has piled all of his chips up in a huge thin tower to convince the less observant that he is doing better than the stats suggest... One man prospering is Micky Wernick, who has close to double his starting stack having just had his set of queens paid off a few moments ago... Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: NoflopsHomer on April 11, 2009, 10:34:04 PM With about 5k in the pot, Jon Omara is facing an all-in bet from Chris Cancelliere on Qh 7s 9c 3d, he shakes his head and passes. Cancelliere shows Ac Kc.
Daniel Rudd calls a 3k bet on a 5c Ad 6h 8s board before snap/calling another 4k on the Th river. His opponent mucked as quickly as he had bet the river and Rudd showed Aspades Qs to win the pot and boost his stack over the 20k. Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: JungleCat03 on April 11, 2009, 10:46:00 PM One man who seems to be in very good shape thusfar is Philip Clarke, who looks to have 30,000 or so at the moment and every time I pass his table he is sweeping up another pot.
He even showboated on one hand, winning a pot with 7-4 when he made a house on an 8-2-4-8-4 board, managing to elicit a bluff from his tablemate's counterfeited 5-2. Early days but he might be eyeing up the £27k or so in first place the way things are going so far... Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: NoflopsHomer on April 11, 2009, 11:04:25 PM Billy Ngo is out.
'Chunky' Mick Jones is apparently walking on water next to Chris Bruce. He's had Eights vs Queens all in preflop and hit a rather helpful 8-5-5 flop to bust one stack before having A-Q vs A-T on a A-T-5 board before duly catching his queen on the river. Brucey too has bonused his way up and is comfortably over 20k. (http://blondepoker.com/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=25988&g2_serialNumber=1) Nick 'I vont to suck your blood' Hicks approaching the 40k mark. (http://blondepoker.com/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=25990&g2_serialNumber=1) Sam Trickett ended up not going to the Irish Open but is here instead, he just raised preflop to 525 while the blinds were 100/200/25 and picked up two callers, one of which was Micky Wernick. The flop came down Qc Tc 6s and Sam continued, betting 1,525 with Wernick the solitary caller. On the possible action inducing 8c turn, Trickett bet again, this time to the tune of 3,150 which elicited a swift fold from the Worm who was a believer to Trickett's agression. Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: JungleCat03 on April 11, 2009, 11:27:55 PM M3boy has just taken a hit to his stack. Calling a button raise to 900 from the big blind, he checked the 4h 2h 4c board, only for his opponent to fire out a bet of 1k.
M3boy called before checking the 7c on the turn. His opponent dwelt before also checking. The river was the 3h and after a short period of shuffling and dwelling in absolute silence, M3boy led for 2,200, only for his opponent to make a somewhat reluctant call with J-7 for top pair... His twitching lips began beaming though as M3boy could only table Qh Td for the bluff, reducing his stack to just over its starting point, having been caught "bluffin' with his muffin." Ooops... Haha, do you see what I did there? Chortle. (http://blondepoker.com/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=25992&g2_serialNumber=1) Tracey Dell is down to the almost felt after running A-K into A-A. "I'm going home in a strop," she says. I think that's a Swedish car... Des Jonas is out, he was all-in with the 5h against Ahrt 3h but hadn't turned his other card over until the Jc 9h Js 6c 3c board got dealt out. Then he flipped the card...The Aspades of course for a bad beat that never was. Nick Hicks raises preflop and Rana Gurnham calls in middle position. 5s 3h 3d Hicks bets about 1,875. Call. Js Check....and check. Ts Hicks now bets 3,750. Rana Gurnham gives him evils but then almost looks like he's going to raise the river bet, but in the end he decides to just muck his cards. Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: JungleCat03 on April 11, 2009, 11:36:46 PM Simon Nawab isn't in the best of shape, seen limping around with a bad leg. He suffered further injury at the felt, managing to fall into a £1,700 hole at a laggy 1/2 cash table.
He told us about his misfortune but had one more ace up his sleeve we didn't see coming. "But I won it all back! I needed to get lucky though, made a straight flush versus the nutflush." He limped off giggling. In other news, blonde's AgentChip109 is out, his shortshack shove with J-8 running into Q-9 and A-Q. Temporarily ahead having flopped a jack, his luck ran out as a bullet spiked to leave him battered, bruised and pot-less on the rail. 169 players remain at the moment as level six draws to a close. Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: NoflopsHomer on April 12, 2009, 12:00:29 AM Gupreet Nagi has dropped to about 7k having checked called three streets with 5-5 on a 6-6-J-6-7 board against Ghassan Chehbi who managed to get there on the river with T-7 (who stated he was actually bluffing hoping to get a fold but it turned into a valuebet). Soon after Chehbi won another pot from him, Nagi holding a set of fives on an all diamond board but a fourth diamond on the turn slowed the action and Chehbi's 6d 6h took it on the river once more.
Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: JungleCat03 on April 12, 2009, 12:02:46 AM We are now on a break following the end of level 6.
Just before the break Tracey Dell dinged her last dong (I didn't think that statement through did I?) Facing a raise from M3boy, she shipped her last 4 big blinds with ace-four, only for M3boy to make an obligatory call with a dominating ace-queen. It was still dominating by the river meaning she is out. "Are you off home now?" I ask. "I might head down to Luton actually. Just got to go and nip flopsy-wopsy first!" [Mental note: Chris has a new nickname.] "I think flopsy-wopsy has a little bit of the...what's that guy from 4 weddings called? " "Forrest Gump?" I answer innocently. "No, no...I mean.... Hugh Grant." "er...." Not sure I see that to be perfectly honest... Anyone? Neil Wyatt has been knocked out in a multiway raised pot, as Daniel Ball raised preflop and bet the Ahrt 5s 2s flop, Wyatt raised his 1,200 to 3,600 with about the same behind before Frampton moved in behind. Ball folded and Wyatt ummmed and ahhhhhhhhed for a while before calling with Aspades Jc, Frampton showing the unlikely but winning 5h 2d which saw a scary 3s hit the turn but survive on the 9c river. Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: NoflopsHomer on April 12, 2009, 12:47:39 AM Interesting hand...
Colin Young limps for 400 UTG. Adrian Swingler raises to 3,500 next to him. Sam Trickett's right eyebrow shoots up, like it's being pulled by a marionette puppeteer as he folds. No-one but Young wants to play and they see a flop. Kc 5d 9s Check, check. 2d Young quickly fires out 5k. Call from Swingler. 5h (http://blondepoker.com/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=25994&g2_serialNumber=1) Young now bets 11k. Swingler looks like he's going to put in his chips in but then pulls his stack back, and folds Js Jc face up. Young shows a Kd. Extraordinary. (http://www.smh.com.au/ffximage/2008/02/22/gazza3_narrowweb__300x442,2.jpg) Not Paul this time, but Edward is the one left mopping up his salty excretions with a tissue. (Really must start vetting my words before I type them out.) His A-3 turned into a straight by the river of a 6-2-7-5-4 board but it's called the idiot end for a reason and the genius end was held by Harprit Singh Gurnam whose 8-8 didn't suffer a beat and he sends the young player to the rail, moving him to over 30,000. Dave (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=115) Smith (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=115) has turned his fortunes round, no longer needing to stack his chips in one huge babel tower to impress the rail. He has shifted his chips up to an above-average 27,000 at this point, working his chip accumulation skills to good effect through the last few levels. (http://blondepoker.com/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=22743&g2_serialNumber=1) Back to the bench Gazza! Phillip Tomlinson has knocked out Lee Randell, the latter trying to make a move with 8s 4d but quickly being called with A-K which held on the T-7-3-A-9 board. 125 players remaining. There was no help on the 2s turn and but the 5s provided to be a Brucey bonus, the straight making card winning the hand.

Dave (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=115) Smith (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=115) has just been sent to the felt. I'm assuming he had lost some chips prior to this hand as he raised with Ahrt Jh and was re-raised all-in making the call. His opponent's pocket queens were good on the flop, good on the turn and good on the river, meaning the former GUKPT winner joins the rail, ready to spray more unsuspecting passerbys with his comical yellow flower. (He wasn't wearing it today but I still like it.) Good Game Dave! Button SB calls his entire stack with 3h 3d Chris reveals Ahrt Qc, board comes Kh Qd 8h 2s 6d and like my favourite ipod poker song another one bites the dust and Chris spends the first few moments of this break stacking a pot worth 28000. Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: NoflopsHomer on April 12, 2009, 01:47:04 AM Dingdell here - last level of the day starting with 114 players, Mother hen has just announced he expects 90 to return tomorrow. ....and what Simon wants Simon gets to expect some dodgy dealing from our lovely dealers, with ohhs, ahhs, bad beats and sweats until the river as the DTD team try and meat Simons taget of 90 players.
Average stack 25700, blinds 400/800 with an ante of 100 - and they're off Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: NoflopsHomer on April 12, 2009, 01:49:18 AM Dingdell here - Paul King just sauntered past. "How you doing?" I asked.

Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: JungleCat03 on April 12, 2009, 01:53:11 AM The last level has just kicked into effect.
Level nine - with blinds at 400/800/100 will be the final of the day and with a host of stacks in the danger territory of 15 BBs and lower, we can expect some blood and heavy action in this final level. Hold tight for the action! 112 and counting... Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: NoflopsHomer on April 12, 2009, 01:56:16 AM Hassan Abbas has knocked out an unfortunate opponent, holding Jh Th against the drawtacular Ac 9c on the Kc Js Tc flop. But the turn dried up the draw to one card as it was the Jc, but the Royal Flush missed on the 9h river.
Daniel Kallenbach has been virtually felted raising with Aspades Ac and quickly calling Daniel Rudd's shove. Rudd held Js Jd but flopped better as the board ran out 4c Tc Jh 5d Td. 2 non believers flat call. Flop comes 5s Td Ks and all three check it round. Turn comes 5h. Original raiser bets 3400 and next player flat calls again, with the other folding so it's the tight player against one of the only remaining women players.... River comes 8d and it goes check check. Original raiser shows 2s 2h and our brave girl shows...... Jc Js....... and scoops the pot obviously scared of the one overcard on theboard or a possible higher pair. I'd like to see this one of the HA board. Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: JungleCat03 on April 12, 2009, 02:16:48 AM The aptly named Johnathan Wragg has just been sent to busto-ville, courtesy of Daniel Brown.
Brown' raise with a flat call behind saw Wragg make his move with Td 8d, shipping his stack into the middle, but he was never going to shift Mr Brown out of the pot as he held Kh Ks. The flop of 3h Th Qh offered the merest glimmer of salvation, though all hope was extinguished as the board ran out 5s 4c, leaving Wragg tapping the table generously as he departed the felt, reducing numbers yet further. Just 94 remain now as the last fifteen minutes of the level play out. Still in there are Paul Garnham, partly as a result of having kings three times in close succession, mbn, and Mickey Wernick, using all the power of his mighty grey beard to guide him through these latter stages. There was always likely to be some sort of action when a 2,500 raise saw 4 people go to the flop! With 10k in the pot pre, the Jh 8s 4h was checked to the original raiser who led out for 6,000 and Abbas made the call with 20k or so back... The turn was the 9s, Abbas checked and his opponent now shipped the rest of his stack into the middle. After some thought Abbas made the call with the draw-tastic 6h 7h. He no doubt thought his flush draw and straight draw were live, but when his opponent flipped up a surprising pair of fives, it turned out a six or seven was also good! And the river was the six! A single pair of sixes was good enough for Abbas to sweep up a 50k pot, which will put him in the higher echelons of the leaderboard going into day two. Title: Re: DTD Monthly £300 - Day 1 Post by: JungleCat03 on April 12, 2009, 02:39:51 AM And with that last slice of the drama pie being served up, we have reached the end of the day.
The field has been reduced to 87 and we will post up the final chip counts as they reach us. It's been a great start to the DTD £300, proving that there's some exciting poker being played outside of Dublin at the moment. Myself and We'll be back refreshed and re-invigorated tomorrow for the resumption so join us then as the action continues apace!
