Good afternoon from Manchester

68 left, and no doubt the usual frantic first few levels whilst the short-stacks get moving or get out.

One time, let the table re-draw give us Moorman 1 and 2 on the same table!

We'll know soon enough

Play recommences at 2pm, don't be late..it'll be fast and furious

Table 4 ... expect Des Jonas to be raising every pot ... some tight players on that table.

Wow at 7 & 8 ....all the chips on those 2 tables !

I have a sneaky feeling Jeff Kimber could go deep in this.

outsider pick .. Des Jonas.

Kai Paulsen or Jack Powell?

Ben Callinan or Matt Perrins?

Dominic Rossookh or George McDonald?

Chris Moorman or Simon Moorman?

Mickey Wernick or Surinder Sunar?

Jeff Kimber or Keir Ratcliff?

I take Neil Banks on sicko instinct for the shorties, Paul Gardener for the middling and Bo Le for the super stacks.

table 7 action, quite extraordinary action

Surinder Sunar made it 3,200 in the cut off, Alex Mah re-raised to 11,600 in the small blind with  Ad Qc as it happens

Surinder looked him up and down, and called deliberately and precisely

Flop  2h 2c 3d

Alex bets 14,000

Surinder asks Alex how much he has left and the answer is a full 35,000ish

He calls

Turn  7d

Alex pushes and Surinder calls instantly

His hand had me taking a double check, and oohs/ahhs/lala's from the table and rail , 8c 2s which of course holds and propels Surinder into a chip lead

Moomin Jr has had a tough start.

First his early position raise to 3,300 was reraise by George McDonald to 11,100 and had to let it go.

A couple of hands later and Moomin raised UTG to 3,300 with David Maudlin and Alex Mah calling in the blinds.

Aspades Qh 4c

Check to Moorman who bets 6,200. Maudlin makes it 16,200, Mah folds and Moorman called.

8h

Maudlin now quickly shoves for nearly 60k, a massive overbet. Moorman1 shakes his head and ends up folding.

Never mind, he can still go rowing with his dad.

Jack Powell has doubled up to about 60k. Didn't see the hand but I saw 2-2 in front of him and A-J next to Ross Parkhill, so I'm surmising that Powelll hit a set while Parkhill paired one of his hole cards.

Richard Sudworth has doubled up, he pushed over the top of Joey Lovelady's 3,300 raise with Tc Ts and found a caller in the big blind with Ad Kh. A helpful 8h 5s 3c 6d 8c board propelling him up to about 50k.

Moorman has been 3-bet again, this time he raised to 3,300 in midposition. Steve Holden called before Jason Lam made it 15,000 squeezing them both out of the pot.

On the river of a Jh Th 5s 4c 3s board, Jason Lam moves in for 32.2k, just under the size of the pot. Surinder (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=422) Sunar (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=422) counts out the chips but then folds. 8-2 wasn't good this time I guess.

Edward Roger raises to 3,100 from the cutoff but talks himself out of the hand when Andrew (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1402) Teng (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1402) reraises all-in from the small blind for 19,500 total.

Ramsey said quietly, "Ok, call," and they flipped their cards over. Ad 7d for Ajram and Aspades 2d for Patel. But the dealer hadn't heard the call and thought the former had passed, mucking the cards and passing the pot to Patel.

"What are you doing, I've called!" said a flummoxed Ramsey.

Double up for Burnely John Falconer with Ad Ks against Paul Gardener's 9d 9c on a 7s Jh Th 4h Qd board. He's up to the heady heights of 16k.

Shaun Dean has doubled up to 30k, pushing over the top of Joey Lovelady's 4,100 raise with Ac Qd and getting called by 4s 4d. Dean tapped the table as the first card came out Qc followed by a 3d 3h 6h 5h board.

Jeff has Kimber-sliced a chunk off Dominic Rossookh's stack. In a multiwraay pot, the board of Ahrt 5c Jd was checked to Kimber who bet 3,200. Rossookh check/raised to 17,600 but then appeared to hate everything in life when Kimber made it a stack-committing 50,600. Rossookh made a disgruntled fold.

Update on Bo "skins" Le pls.

It's not good news I'm afraid as he's down to about 45k. He made it 4,100 to go preflop from early position with Surinder Sunar calling next to him.

Both players checked the Qh Kc 9h flop before Le bet 6,300 on the 4c turn. Surinder made the call before betting 15,400 on the 9s river after Le checked. Eventually Le made the call and Surinder Sunar showed Aspades Ks and Le mucked. A-Q perhaps?

Karim Jomeen has just knocked out Jason Lam in a huge pot. All the money went in on the turn of a Ts 9h 7s Kc 7d board, Lam with Kd Td and Jomeen with the Qh Jh that dodge the 4-outer on the river. Jomeen probably is the new chip leader now.

Dominic Rossookh is down to the virtual felt after getting the worst of it in a blind on blind battle with Keir Ratcliff.

Kc Tc 9d

Ratcliff bet 4k and Rossookh check/raised to 13k. Call.

Kd

Rossookh bets 16.5k and then mutters, "Sick," when Ratcliff moves in for an additional 17.3k but makes the call for most of his stack.

Rossookh: Jc 8c
Ratcliff -- Ks 4h

The 5h river helps neither play and Rossookh has about 5k left. Ratcliff on almost 100k.

Des Jonas has doubled through Andy Middleton with Ad Js versus 5c 5d. The board coming Ts 4s Qs Kd Ks. Middleton went out soon after.

Chip leader at the break Karim Jomeen.

Chi Nguyen has knocked out Fakshad Ferdowsian to consolidate his strong position

Meanwhile I arrive at a hand between Richard Sudworth and Ryan (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=390) Fronda (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=390)

on a  6h 7c 7d board big blind Fronda has just check raised all-in over Sudworth's flop bet.

It's a big pot, 30,000 in the middle and the re-raise is 29,300 more for Sudworth to call from his 50,000 stack

Eventually he calls tabling  8d 8s and Fronda flips  Td 7h

turn and river  Ks Kc

Fronda up to nearly 100,000 and Sudworth struggling

Pete Haslam raises to 5,500 on the button and gets called by blinds Edward Lundon and Jeff Kimber who both fold to a 10,500 bet on the Qd Jc Td flop.

Andrew Booth has doubled through Costas Kkola with Jacks versus Kings. The binkage in question even more surpreme than usual because a third player confessed to folding K-J after the hand.

George McDonald bets 26.5k on the turn of a Ad 7d 5c 6c board against Ryan Fronda which reprents maybe half of the latter's stack. He can't stand the heat and folds. Wellchief is erm...well over the 100k mark.

Joey Lovelady has bust Paul (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1469) Ephremsen (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1469), all I saw was the chips being scooped up at the end and Paul striding off purposely towards the car park

Joey (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=203) Lovelady (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=203) has just knocked out Tim (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=433) Flanders (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=433). I arrived a touch too late again but only to hear the refrain from Tim "I don't know why I pushed all in". Joey is amongst the chip leaders now

Joey Lovelady is now the new chip leader with over 200k and starting to run over his table. Karim Jomeen has dropped a lot of chips to Paul Gardener, the latest being on a Td 8s Qc 6h 9s board where Gardener bet 15k and got paid off by Jomeen who mucked when the former Blackpool runner-up showed him 9c 7d. Gardener probably has about 175k now and Jomeen is down to about 80k.

The dinner break will be at the end of this level, an hour early, but we're not complaining. 43 players remain.

Ryan Fronda check raises to 20,000 out of the blinds over Chris Cope's 8,000 flop bet on a  2s 8s 8h board and Cope, clock called, makes an agonised pass

Steve Holden and George McDonald have been scrapping

on a  5c 2h  Js flop George bets 6,000 into a 15,000 pot and is check called by Steve

turn  Tc check check

river  Qh check, George bets 8,000 and Steve calls, mucking when shown  Kh Jh

Steve struggling with 40,000 while George continues to look comfortable

Bo has recovered somewhat after his tribulations from earlier. I'd guesstimate 80,000

Mickey Wernick is sitting to the direct left of Joey Lovelady, with guesstimate 70,000. I haven't seen Mickey play a pot today, but he's clearly ducking and diving whilst others fall by the wayside

Jeff Kimber comes over and tells me he has 177,000 at this break "back to where I was last break, I haven't played a hand for a level until just now when I raised with  Kh Qh and Keir Ratcliff paid me off for two bets on a King high flop"

He also busted Tim Flanders who limped A-A and checked all three streets of an A-9-4-T-6 board before check/raising all-in on the river against Lovelady, who had got there with 8-7.

We join the board where Jeff Kimber is betting 6,500 into a pot against Simon Moorman on a 5s Ahrt Kh Kd turn. Moorman2 makes it 20,000 and after some deliberation, Kimber just flat-calls.

The river is an innocuous looking 6h. Kimber checks and with shaking hands Moorman2 bets 40k, Kimber announces all-in and Moorman2 shovels his stack equally quickly.

Kimber flips 5c 5h for the flopped set and turned house but Moorman2 turns over 6d 6s for a rivered bigger boat. Stunningly, Jeff Kimber is out and Simon Moorman has perhaps 350k and is our new chip leader.

Photos to follow.

We join the board where Jeff (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=195) Kimber (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=195) is betting 6,500 into a pot against Simon Moorman on a 5s Ahrt Kh Kd turn.

Stunningly, Jeff (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=195) Kimber (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=195) is out and Simon Moorman has perhaps 350k and is our new chip leader.

Photos to follow.

Wow With 350k he has to finish in the top 3 now for sure

[ / ] you know a lot about poker tournaments!

gogogogogogogo Moorman2!!!

i will tick that boxs for you

With 350k when the avg is 87K with 37 players left  im sure any good player can go and finish in the top 3 if they pick the right spots

Ramsey (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2956) Ajram (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2956) looks in agony when he has to fold a 12.5k bet to a minraise from Surinder (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=422) Sunar (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=422) on a Js 6d 9d board.

Not to be outdone, Chris (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=69) Moorman (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=69) has doubled through Steve Holden, only Moomin with his natural rungood genetic makeup, could make a button push with Jd 8c and find himself in a race against 7c 7s with the board coming 4c 8h 3h Qd 2h.

Poor Steve Holden though, is on the brink with just a few k left.

I attempted to conduct an in depth interview which went as follows

"How is it going Matt?"

"OK, just got a bit lucky a few hands ago, spiked to stay in"

"Feeling confident?"

eyebrows raise...sheepish look....next hand is dealt and I sidle away quielty

yes yes 150,000 or so

Watching him in action is quite something. Every move is deliberate and measured. When he raises the chips go over the line almost imperceptibly, with a light touch. Voice muted, soft and understated actions throughout.

He is the poker equivalent of Rudolph Nureyev nimbly manoeuvring his chips across the felt, only without the tights, but a grey beanie hat instead

Oooooooooh. You are the bokkage daddy...

He's just busted. Pushing over Rory Cambell's cut-off raise from the button, but Bo Le found Kc Ks behind him in the small blind. "I've only looked at one!" said Keir showing Aspades 7c, the board of Kh Qh Qc Tc Jh rivered him a straight, but the major problem with that was that Le had already flopped a boat. Le has made a big revival from earlier and now is easily back over 100k.

Lovelady opened as per usual for 7,500 and Parkhill found Jacks in the big blind and popped it to 21,500

"How much have you got behind?" enquired Lovelady

"150,000" came the reply and Lovelady folded

"two overs" he said when the Jacks were flipped

Not to worry, next hand Lovelady raises again and its uncontested again

Chris Moorman is out. He pushed the cut-off with Ahrt 5d and Karim Jomeen quickly called him with Ac Qh from the button. A Qd 3d 6h 6d 4c offered only the slighty flushing hope on the turn, but Moorman (Jr) misses out while it looks like his dad is sure to cash.

Ks Ts 5d

Fronda checks, Moorman bets 25k. Two minutes of dwelling. Call.

3c

Check....check.

Jd

Fronda checks a third time. Moorman2 bets 50k which is the majority of Fronda's stack. Fronda thinks for ages, he looks like he really wants to call but eventually folds after having the clock called on him and getting Moorman to agree to show. Moorman shows 9s 9c, apparently Fronda folded Queens, which is surely a call in this spot, or is it not that clear cut? Incidentally, Moorman1 was sure Moorman2 was bluffing the river.

Kenny Burke reraised an extra 20k on Ramsey Ajram's button raise. Ajram taking a couple of minutes before shoving and Burke instantly folding Q-3o face up. Ajram showing Queens. Rory Campbell shouted, "Ramsey, you slowrolling c**t!"

George McDonald is picking up a lot of blinds bubt had to fold once to a Matt Perrins push.

Joey Lovelady raises Surinder Sunar's 12k bet to 36k on a 6c 2d 5c board. Surinder calls the raise before setting Lovelady in on the 5d turn for about 120k. Lovelady shakes his head muttering how sick it is and folds. Sunar shows 9d 8d. Still hand for hand.

Still on the bubble but Rory Cambell is fuming.

He raised preflop with Edward Roger calling from the blinds.

9s 2d 7d

Both checked.

8s

Roger bet 16k and Campbell called.

3c

Check check. But when Roger showed 4d 3d for a missed flush draw but rivered pair, Campbell was very upset and slammed a couple of chips on the table loudly having lost around 30k from his stack after making the correct call on the turn. Lol, Kenny Broad! Not one to mess with.

In Walsall one night, Bob The Butcher - who's thing is to kiss blokes, smack on the lips, full on, kissed Kenny. Not a wise thing, & it nearly went off big time, between 2 geezers who both have a bit of, err, history. I think Kenny said "try that again, smack on the lips, & I'll smack you good & proper". He's a big bugger. Casinos must  love him, he's sticks a good bit down on the Tables.

Kenny Burke pushes the small blind and George McDonald calls in the big blind.

Burke: Ad 7h
McDonald: Ahrt 6h

A topsy-turvy Jh 9s 8s 9h 8d ends up with them splitting the pot.

Burke, "How can you call with that shit?"

Najam Qureshi who came back today with just 12k, goes out. He lost a big flip to Kevin McInally with 5h 5s vs Kh Js on a Jc Tc 7h 6d Td board before his shrapnel went in with 7c 2c vs Karim Jomeen's Ahrt 6h and almost got there on the 5c 9c 4c Ad 4h board.

Ramsey Ajram is out, he pushed in for 10BB's UTG with A-9 but Chi Nguyen found Queens in the big blind. The board bricked off and Ramsey left but Kenny Burke was the only one at the table to raise an eyebrow.

"How can he push there? That's f**king terrible!" He turns to Matt Perrins and says, "Isn't that awful?"

Matt Perrins, "Seems pretty standard. He only has 10 big blinds."

Burke is aghast, "Standard? Let me tell you, even if I had Aces, I still make it 3 times the big blind and just shove the flop. Come on, explain it to me."

Perrins, "Well, I don't really have to explain anything..." He presses the check/fold button on the conversation sensing perhaps Burke is not going muck his point of view whatever the case.

Burke, "You're talking out of your arse..."

Meanwhile Surinder Sunar is the chip leader with about 560k. Look! He does smile! :)

In a row Joey Lovelady, Moorman2, Chi Nguyen, Surinder, George McDonald. We'll see what Kenny makes of this lot!

Only Karim Joseem on the other table has anything like the individual stack of these guys

Just now blind on blind Surinder raises to 25,000 and McDonald pushes for 135,000 total in the big, Surinder dwell-passes

He moved in once more from the cutoff and Surinder dwelt for ages before calling on the button, Rory looked in agony before the call purely because Surinder takes a long time with every decision, usually a minute or more anytime Rory had pushed.

This time though they were raising, Campbell flipped Ahrt Qs, Sunar showing 7d 7h.

Kevin McInally then pushed UTG and Ross Parkhill next door pushed over the top. This was a classic unavoidable race, Kevin's Jacks against Ross' AK off. King on the turn, King on the river knocked Kevin out

15 left

Edward Roger re-raises from the small blind

Surinder calls

This has already become a large pot. Over 100,000 in the middle

flop  2h Js 5s

Edward bets 65,000

Surinder thinks. Thinks some more. Thinks again. We can hear the whirring of the camera and the jingle of the gaming tables as we wait. He Passes

Edward throws  9s 7c over in the general direction of the flop

Surinder cracks a smile and nods his head in appreciation

Huge pot for David Maudlin.

Karim Jomeen raised preflop to 24k and Paul Gardener moved all-in for about 130k. Then David Maudlin moved all-in behind him and left a big decision for Jomeen. Eventually the latter called with Qh Qc, Gardner had Td Tc and Maudlin flipped Kh Kc. But this is where it got controversial, Jomeen flipped his Queens as soon as he called but Maudlin waited until after Gardner had flipped his cards before he turned over his Kings and Jomeen said, "Thanks for the slowroll."

6h 2h 8c 4h 7c board eliminated Gardner and left Jomeen short but the latter was more concerned that Maudlin had waited too long to show his cards. "You know you've got the best hand, I'm just saying open your hand. It's bad etiquette."

Maudlin was unrepentant, "I never slowroll anyone."

I'm not totally sure it was a slowroll or not, but Maudlin did take longer than most would to flip over Kings when they know they have to have the best hand, so I can understand why Jomeen is upset, but Maudlin did take ages to call with the A-Q earlier though so perhaps it's just his style.

Jon Raab, who watched the hand also, thought it wasn't a slowroll.

Chi is not Nguyening at the moment.

He's just doubled up Eddie Lundon with Js Jh vs Kc Qs on a 5c Qc Qd 4c 6h board.

Then a couple of hands later he raises preflop once more with Js Jh and Kenny Burke flats for a big chunk of his stack with Ac Qs and they get it in on a 9h 2c 6c board, Burke hitting the Ahrt and then the Ad for good measure...

George McDonald tells me, "Kenny has been drinking pints of wine all day..."

Huge pot for David Maudlin.

Karim (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2797) Jomeen (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=2797) raised preflop to 24k and Paul (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1876) Gardener (http://www.blondepoker.com/blondepedia/blondepedia_view_player.php?player_id=1876) moved all-in for about 130k.

Knowing Dave this would never have been deliberate

I think the thing that aggrieved Jomeen was that David Maudlin was standing back a few feet away from the table and did wait until Paul Gardener had flipped his cards first rather than just turning his hand over when he was called.

Perhaps Jon Raab stated it best though, "At the end of the day, what difference does a few seconds make?"

Maudlin is vying with Surinder Sunar for the chip lead.

Harri Isomaki has been very quiet all day but has sprung into action

First he pushed in the cut off with  Ad 9d and was called by Maudlin in the big blind with  Ahrt 5s

a  Kc Qs Jh Qh 4s produced a split pot

Very next hand he loked down at  Ac Ahrt and conveniently I was stood behind to have a sneaky peek. A subtle dwell, another push rather than a suspicious looking standard raise and frustratingly for him no business

Very next hand he looks down at  3d 3c and possibly thinking his third successive push would receive no respect he passed. Immediately Kevin Holbrook next door pushed in, uncalled

whats the list? ppl u can slowroll in the future? can we make a list in the blonde hall of fame for perpetual slowrollers so that whenever a blonde plays X, we can take 10 mins and order a coffee before making them flip out on the river?

Ross Parkhill pushes UTG for 62,000 with  Ks Jc and Harri Isomaki re-shoves next to him with  Ad Qh

Board  2s 7c 4h Ac Qs and Ross Parkhill is OUT in 13th

Andrew Booth just doubled up through Ross Parkhill with Ahrt Kd vs Aspades Jd. Parkhill had had to fold the previous hand to an all-in reraise which hadn't helped.

Eddie Lundon raises to 27k, Surinder Sunar makes it 85k. Now Lundon pushes for 158k more. Surinder folds what I swear was a flash of A-K...

George McDonald has gone out to Surinder Sunar soon after. Sunar button raised and McDonald shipped in his 140k or so stack. After a couple of minutes thought, Sunar made the call with Ad Js, dominating McDonald's Ks Jc and leaving him drawing dead on the flop after the board came Aspades Ahrt Jh...

We're almost at the final table with about 10 minutes left...

Surinder Sunar raises to 35k on the button. Edward Lundon flat-calls before Kenny Burke moves all-in. Sunar quickly folds (I mean for him) and Lundon deliberates before making the call with 6s 6d. Burke shows Ad Kh and we're off, off, off to the races.

Qh Aspades 5c Th 9s

Burke screams with delight, "In the treeeeeeeeeeeee!" Or something along those lines.

He's over 200k now.
