I have to tell you we were genuinely surprised that our 50 seats Guaranteed made 61 seats for this weekends £300 Deepstack , so to clelebrate we thought we would do another one , the only difference is this time we are guaranteeing 50 seats into the £1000 Main Event !!!!!!!

Surely this time there will be an overlay ?

hmmm..will have trouble playing this ME...can we transfer these seats onto a next ME like we can with the 300 sat?

Someone answered that question somewhere.

I believe the answer was a no as they go towards the huge guarantee for the first event.

Hello Mr Duk, yes Simon answered this for boldie on the Dusk Till Dawn News thread.  He actually replied that seats were not transferable to the next £1,000 "Monte Carlo" Grandslam event.

Since this, we have had discussions and came to the conclusion that the best outcome for everybody would be that seats won in this 50 Seat Guarantee CAN be transferred to the "Monte Carlo" in September if you couldn't make this one.

So there you go, yes!

Although seats are not transferable to other people.

Only kidding , actually it's the big countdown to Mondays 50 seat guaranteed Super Satellite and with currently only 14 players there is a small overlay of €59,690 , what will it be come Monday after the rebuys and add ons and will one of you be the winner of a seat into The Main Event, where with a guaranteed prizepool of £250,000 first prize will be in excess of £80,000.

Wouldn't it be nice to parlay up €65 + €5 and maybe a rebuy or double add on into £80,000 ?

The time is 7.30pm GMT which is the server time, which is 8.30pm UK time.  So thats 8.30pm for you and me :)

there seems to be a problem with the software - i just lost a hand  - WTF!

Fking software - wouldn't let me addon because my money was in the wrong place or something.

The addon break lasts about 5 seconds - by the time I move my money to the right balance the game has started again so I can't addon, we play one hand and now there's a 5 min break.

the 60k is in euros I think at 1212 Euro per seat

60k is in euros = 50k sterling and the tourny is  £1k sterling

difficult to work out how much was taken with buy in 1500 chips and add on 3000.


working on an average of 2000 chips per buy in = approx 40k euros

which if right gives a 20k euro overlay.....nice

Some guy with JJ called all in for some reason when he could clearly fold to seat. Other guy had aces- J high flop!!!

Then shorty shoves called by KK, shorty has AA!!!

Then some other guy who easily could fold to seat calls all in with 22. 3 people check down a AAQK9 board and his 22 is good!!!

I was ai on BB and sb folded having himself just doubled up from 6k to 23k when he only had to call 2k lol. So awesome for me. Guaranteed the seat.  The standard was terrible, and the structure combined with the timebanking made it a right crapshoot at the end.

Well done to everyone that won a seat.

I guess it was only a matter of time till we got our "fingers burnt" having a punt at big GTE's over the past 12 months.............it's been getting more and more "additive" putting up these big online and live GTE's, on this occasion we had to add just over £15,000 to make up the 50 seats - the average spend was actually okay at £145 - we just got 130 less runners than the previous 20 euro RB 50 seat GTE which got 400, maybe the size of buy-in put a few people off.


Never mind - it's a small cost compared to the governments New Poker Tax LOL

Not sure which was worse - this or getting HU in a 180 man freeroll to the ECOOP  IV ME and getting AK in against 57  (i shoved and he snap called)  57 obv the nuts!

Scrap the rake and turn the water off imo.

Seriously though I'm sure that a lot of revenue was missed out by the insane add on period.

The add on box flashed up and you got about 10 seconds to click that you wanted one then it was too late, you'd missed it.

15 seconds later the 5 minute break starts.

I checked the before and after chips and I estimated about 70 people took add ons out of the 199 still in. I'm sure that a lot more wanted the add on especially as it was for 3000 chips when the average was only 4900.

Other than that it was perfect.

the add on problem in the last tournament was pretty much the reason I didn't play last night tbh.

I'd been pre warned so I was prepared.

I didn't expect it to be that quick though. Definitely needs sorting.

Would also be an idea to turn off the chat boxes when it gets down to 60 runners.

The amount of people telling everyone to "slow down" or "just pass" was embarrassing tbh. Ridic amount of collusion.

At least it let you know who were the weak asses. Made blind stealing very easy  :)

Yeah - a tournament where 3/4 of the field had under 3BB isn't poker.

I wish I had 3BBs! I was in full squeak mode from 70 runners down.

The whole tournament I was confused about when rebuys were for, when you could add-on could you double rebuy to start etc, and I couldn't find any info anywhere. Somehow managed to have no problem with the add on but it was at a weird time before the end of the level. Very confusing, and with all the stalling at the end in 2 orbits I went from an 18 big bet stack to a 3 big bet stack. Am intrigued to see what it's like to play a 5 day tournament; probably alot of :   ;frustrated; ;frustrated;


You cant but lol at some of the strategy in that sat aswell, seemed very good value :)

To be fair all the poker was played in the first 4 hours. Anybody not aware of the need to set themselves up for the frenzy at the end hadn't checked the blind levels.

If they made the blind levels a bit friendlier we'd still all be there now waiting for the next cooler to knock someone out. 5 hours is plenty long enough for a sat starting at 8.30 in the evening.

I didn't quite realise how epicly people would stall and so early, it just reduced you to shoving any opportunity because you were seeing so few hands.

Trying now to make plans for next week.  any idea how many levels we will be playing a day ,estimated finishing time etc?
