Title: royal armouries Post by: gatso on May 09, 2009, 03:02:02 PM seeing as we're going to be spending the weekend about 100 metres away from it does anyone fancy a trip to the armouries? either friday afternoon (closes at 5) or monday morning

Title: Re: royal armouries Post by: gatso on May 09, 2009, 03:06:07 PM do we get to shoot stuff and that? think so. there's some special heritage thing on as well that means we can see stuff that's not normally on display. that'll probs be WMDs and the like Title: Re: royal armouries Post by: thetank on May 09, 2009, 03:07:39 PM Possibly because the bird loves all that geeky learny museumy stuff. (I'm not adverse to it either)
Only thing is we'll be arriving later on the Friday evening and leaving on the Sunday. Might go along and have a looksee on the Saturday morning Title: Re: royal armouries Post by: The_nun on May 09, 2009, 03:09:05 PM We took Reece there when we went to meet Rooky, very impressive. The Elephant armour floor is fantastic.

Title: Re: royal armouries Post by: Rod Paradise on May 10, 2009, 02:25:35 PM Leeds Armouries is the one of the best museums I've ever been to.
When I was working in Wakefield I paid for a year's ticket for the place. saw genuine jousting, falconry & the guys who did the sword fighting demonstrations should be on the telly - fantastic. There's no way I'm not going to the Armouries.
