GLGL. Jon Kalmar is dangerous, his experience of long clock deepstack comps shone through late yesterday, John Conroy another player with an absolute wealth of experience.... tough to pick a winner tbh, though I agree that Mitchell will be tough to play against as he wields his big stack with unerring relentlesness. Really looking forward to todays play. Title: Re: DTD Main Event 250k DAY 3 Post by: Colchester Kev on May 29, 2009, 01:45:58 PM Chip counts of everyone left in

yeah for sure, players like mo muse and julien thew who i hadnt previously played much against live seriously impressed me , mo has so much game he could give half of it away and still be one of the top players in that room!! but the p[layers that see aa-qq and ak , see a raise remember the turbo 30 min blind games they play and just insta ship 120bb or soemthing retarded......takuing the poker out of the game, ofc it is only a matter of time before they get caught with massive gmbles like that, the only thing they will get called by most of the time when they have aa is kk and when they have qq they get called by aa or kk or ak ......good ev play imo obviously :p Title: Re: DTD Main Event 250k DAY 3 Post by: Colchester Kev on May 29, 2009, 03:14:21 PM ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST

i have to say the range in standard of players is so vast its not even funny, some of the worst live poker i have ever seen played at this supposed level i have seen this week, yes there are some obvioulsy great players here but there are some people who have never played a deepstack before EVER i swear...... no idea of pot control, the long blinds, stack sizes when playing hands just not a clue........ if this is the standard for the next 2 of these(which i asssume it wont be because of the vegas affect) then i would suggest anybody playing at the $5 mtt level to step up you WILL have a skill edge on some of the field. harsh but fair Title: Re: DTD Main Event 250k DAY 3 Post by: Colchester Kev on May 29, 2009, 03:30:07 PM Atkin has about 110k

I didn't come on here to discuss any of the individual decisions, but have tried to spend time, (in between flying 8000 miles and playing the tournament), chatting to the people in question. I would like to say however that three people who were very dissappointed: James Mitchell, not to get Brown and James Atkin and RiverDave not to get Blue, are all people who I enjoyed very much having on The Grading and are people who I like very much and who I'd like to be involved in Black Belt in the future. Played so much over the last few days and bizarrely itching to play more - learnt so much especially while sharing tables with Julian and Skalie who today gave me some great insights into betting patterns which I can't wait to try out! Unlucky Trace :( re the comments on the shoving woman, she was sat at my tables on both the £250 and £75 later in the day, so I got to hear her hand stories a couple of times. One particular hand she was gutted about having to lay down JJ to a big bet on a raggy board and being showed TT. It was clear from the way she relayed how she'd played it that the pot had become massively over-inflated from her own raises and bet-sizes, but I didn't think it was my place to say :) She also shoved 6-7k pre in to unopened pots a couple of times at 100/200 in the £250. Good luck to all blondes remaining - let's home MC takes this one down - would be a fantastic change of fortune for him. Give me an 'M' etc ;cheerleader; Title: Re: DTD Main Event 250k DAY 3 Post by: Claw75 on May 30, 2009, 01:52:47 AM With the clock reaching the last 15 minutes of the day we still have 11 players ...
