Title: Bristol Gala Harbourside £500 + £50 Post by: Newportlad on June 02, 2009, 09:41:06 PM This is my first attempt at a Staking Request. Thought i'd give it a go, as i want to play this one, but its outside my bankroll.
The template is borrowed from Kinboshi staking post. The Tournament Gala Harbourside Festival £500 + £50 on Saturday 13th June 2009 (2 Day Event) 15,000 Chips, 60 Minute Clock The Proposal I'm asking for a 100% stake for 70% equity. In other words, I'm asking for £550 (in 5% chunks) and in return stakers will get their share of 70% of any prize money I manage to win. I will therefore keep 30% of the winnings for my efforts. Track Record I've played 10 APAT National Events, which are 2 Day Events 10,000 Starting stack and 40 min blinds. I've cashed in 5 of these, making 3 final tables, and winning 1 of them. I have also played the DTD £300 once (March 2009), where i finished 10th. Apart from that i have a pretty good record at my local Casinos (Cardiff and Bristol), making final tables in my last 3 visits to Cardiff. Due to work commitments, i struggle to find the time to play live as much as i would like. These 2 day events seem to suit my game, but apart from APAT, they are outside my bankroll. Just 93 runners turned up for this event. I know it clashed with a couple of other events over the weekend, but i was still surprised it didnt max out. 15K chips and 1 hour clock. Started out ok as i find 8h 8s in my first BB and make a set. Dont get paid though. The make trips with 8d 4h in the SB on a Jd 4d 4s board. BB leads out every street, and i make about 800 out of the pot, so up to 16K. Then proceed to go totally card dead for the next 8 hours! The best hand i find in that 6 hours is 8s 8h which costs me about 4K on a 6d 6h 6c board, as someone has 9s 9h. I try a couple of moves, but they all go wrong, and am down to 5K with blinds at 200/400/25. Totally out of the blue i find Ahrt Ac in SB. Cutoff calls, and i raise to 1200. BB folds, and cut off calls. Flop 3s 7s Js I shove, and cutoff calls with 4s 3h! Luckily he misses the flush draw, and i get back to just over 10K. Then back to no cards for a while. Manage to keep my head above water, with occasional pushes, but am down to 8K with blinds at 300/600/25 and about to go to 400/800/50. Find Aspades Qs in mid position and shove. Get called by 9d 9h. I of course lose the race, and am out. Many thanks from my backers for giving me the opportunity to play this. It is much appreciated. |
