Title: Surf and Turf
Post by: StuartHopkin on July 15, 2009, 04:28:59 PM
Right then, something a bit different.

Many of you may have noticed Cos and myself are a little obsessed with Lucky Larry presents Lobstermania.
We both love to play him when were together at DTD and believe we both have an edge over the field when it comes to selecting the fishermans lobster pots. This fruitmachine is far superior to the other 3 options available.
We have a good ROI over the last £4,500 invested and believe we can maintain this.

For some time now we have wanted to invest a straight up £1k but this is a little outside our current bank rolls.

I have been in contact with The Hendon Mob requesting they include my fruitmachine winnings in their database but for some reason they refuse.

So we are looking to sell 8 x £100 10% chunks with the other two being taken by Cos and myself.

The game plan will be to get the £1000 in a bag (this is imperrative) we will feed the full £1000 in the note slot and then autoplay the lot whilst watching with a Guinness and Double Vodka & Orange respecively.

NO WINNINGS WILL BE TRANSFERED TO CREDITS

We will play the full £1000 through and then take whatever has been won. Hopefully the £4000 jackpot.

In preperation we will both be reading the official Larry the Mofo Lobster strategy guide, and attending a training day with Lucky Larry himself.

If anyone is worried about us reinvesting the money or not being truthful about the winnings, I am sure there will be a large number of Blondes attending to oversea this joyous occasion.

Any questions feel free to ask.

For added fun the result will be kept secret until a video of the whole session can be posted on here so you can share the highs and lows with us and our lobster friends.

Also if the Jackpot is won Cos will do the lobster dance in the Customer Service glass office, whilst being chased by Simon Trumper and Rob Yong.

Stuart can decide when it will be done.

You can transfer me the £100 as you have my details or give me cash this weekend at the Vic. I hope you dont mind me keeping your golden cash notes and using them for the equivalent from my own cash stash.

Added value to stakers is obviously my lobster dance which will be filmed. It is quite special.

I can vouch for StuHop's OSR (Official Slots Ranking) ROI as being very positive.

As can a group of kids who saw him spin £20 to £500 on a Monty Python Holy Grail machine on only the third spin.

As can a group of kids who saw him spin £20 to £500 on a Monty Python Holy Grail machine on only the third spin.

How did I forget this. One of my finest fruit machine moments. Heres the story.

APAT Cardiff Final Day
I drove Kinboshi to this and for some reason he insisted on going back to the casino on the final day. There was no cash table running and I was approaching the limit of four Guinness' due to me driving. So I decided to play the fruit machines as their flashing lights and tunes were more excting than normal. After playing 5 different machines I was £200 up! Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii i thought, as the miserable guy at the cash desk changed it up.
On the way back we needed a break from spot the fit bird as I was about to crash, so we stopped at the service station.
After the toilet break we found fruity corner, £20 invested in the first machine, it seemed very boring so removed the £17 won and moved on to the Holy Grail machine.

Spin 1 = nothing
Spin 2 = £1
Spin 3 = WTF just happened? no lights, no music just a screen full of bunny rabbits that said WILD

Win pays £500? Are you sure? Really?

Upon pressing the collect button and watching the £500 pour out we realised i had just turned £3 into £500.

The group of kids were very intrigued so Anando took a handful of pound coins and told them 'Gambling is Big, Gambling is Clever and most importantly gambling pays' before giving them each a pound.

Good times.

Title: Re: Surf and Turf

Ok before I state my main points I would like to clarify a few things that Clown may have missed.

We've both been confident Larry players for a few years. Probably the best in the business. We've also discussed this opportunity in depth and believe in it wholeheartedly.

We will be doing all we can to get a great return and I think this truly groundbreaking, yes GROUNDBREAKING. Why? Because it is the first staking opportunity on blonde that guarantees some sort of return.

From 500 £2 20 line spins we can't not get something back. It's a simple science.

Right now on to the main part......

Some people have sent me some PM's asking what will be done with our share of the money. Whilst we know taking money from Rob Yong's Larry the Lobster is like candy from a baby we will actually be using it for the good of the club.

Here's how.

My good friend, Barrence Nevillicus has a mate who knows a guy who has an uncle who's a bit of a geezer. This geezer works in a place full of lads. One of these lads, lets call him Ronald, actually, let's not give him a name has a brother who's uncle is a Butcher. This bloke who's missus pops into the butchers from time to time put us in contact with her man via Barrence (as he lost his number). Now he's got one dog being sold at £2100. This dog is the smallest but fastest pure bred bitch you will ever see in your lives.

You're probably wondering where I'm going with this.... Well, wonder no more.

We buy this beautiful and tiny but rapid greyhound and place it inside on our own machine which we buy using the winnings from one of our jackpots. The machine will save DTD money as it requires no electricity. The tiny, but rapid dog will run her little ovaries off (during opening hours only) to keep the wheels spinning.

We then have to persuade Rob Yong to allow banned greyhound loving members of the gambling community back into the club. Let's not give them a name, actually let's call them McBag. They can fund DTD's costs via our machine, Dolores the Dog.

In the meantime, myself and clown continue to jackpot the living fk out of Larry. Stakers are happy. We're happy. Rob Yong is happy. Our fictionary McBag character may not be but hey some things never change.

My best bandit story came when i was 12 years old. Our year Y7 had a trip to france on the ferry, i was amazed at the lack of money the rest of my peers had brought. We were there for a couple of days and most of them thought £15 and a packed lunch was sufficient. Id just began to deal in commodities at school and Paintballs and Bomb Bags were all the rage. I stole paintballs from the paintball woods and sold them for 10p each, and the bomb bags i got from the wholesaler which i sold at 3x what i paid for them.
i had built up a pretty steady £120 roll for the bandits on the ferry mainly, and then france. The bandits however were my main concern.

When i saw the line of cops and robbers bandits (the best club bandit ever imo) i was in heaven and began looking for ones with the cashpot £100 and jackpot £100 both full which was a sign that nobody had won recently. I remember hitting it rich on the first one i played by getting on millionaires row and gtting nudges for £50. I managed to win £150 which brought my roll to the £250 mark, however it all coins as i couldnt find anyone who would change thm for me. i was Lugging around these pound coins in my bag all weekend. Everyone was so jealous i had £250 on me and i got nipped up for icecreams and drinks chronically.

Hi Richard.

It is a pleasure to answer your question.

The £1000 will most likely all be put into the machine at one time, hopefully with some or all of the stakers present. Certainly myself, Clown and Evilpie will be present at the very least.

We will be adopting an auto-play method (the most +EV obv for drinking to accompany said event) but if any stakers such as yourself wish to spin some reels we would welcome this.

Please not this is not 100% as Monsieur Le Clown will have to confirm also.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or comments.

Kind Regards,

Cos

The plan as Coslington correctly states is to drink hard whilst using the autoplay feature to take out some of the physical pressure normally presented when playing a marathon session with Larry and his Lobster Lice

However I have no problem if someone wants to press the button for their £100

I assume Mr Hicks and Mr Bruce will also be present.

Anyone have any preference about time? Im assuming it will be easiest to wait until everyone is out, or the chips are bagged up? Dont think the 15 min break will suffice. Alternatively we could all get there at 1pm and get on it!

How long are you expecting the £1k to last?

And once the last spin has taken place is the plan to withdraw any winnings and divide it up between the stakers?

Well at an average spin speed of 3 spins per minute and an average feature time of 4 mins every 22 spins I would guess that it will take just over an hour.

There will be no reinvestment, this wouldnt be fair and would result in me and cos spinning the shit out of it until there was nothing left.

We will deposit the 1k, play through the 1k, then collect and take a photo of the cash receipt before we take it to the cash desk to post on here.

I reckon after we're all out or chip bagging is best, as we can then get on with the important business of getting lashed?

Also, if any stakers are present how about offering the option of taking a £100 slot so that we can have the chance of getting the feature and showing our lobster picking skillz? Wadda ya reckon?

Yeah I agree. Obv we will all just be waiting for you to bag your chips but late night gambling is so much more acceptable.

As above, no problem if people want to play theyre £100, if this is done whoever is playing will take responsibilty for choosing the number of picks and which pots to pick.

Stu will probably tell me off for this but this is more of a syndicate than a staking opportunity.

It will be fun waiting until 2am for Nick to stop playing but as his avatar has been changed to something so awesome I would like to extend you the opportunity to hit the first spin after special guest Tikay cuts the ribbon.

10% Rooks - Paid
10% Redbull - To pay at DTD
10% ChrisBruce - To pay at DTD
10% EvilPie - To pay at DTD
10% Flushy - Who knows I assume he is good for it
20% Cos - To pay at DTD
20% StuartHopkin - To pay at DTD

Once the chips have been bagged up, I believe this will be around 1am, meet in the bar area.

If anyone isnt planning on hanging around please leave the money with either me or Cos.

For this month's competition in the live update thread, instead of doing the usual "how many runners" etc, it should be to predict the total payout of this :)

Tru dat!

Someone point Kev/Tighty to the above post!

Noted :)

I'm thinking of the lobster dance as rather like a pogo with the feet togather and arms outstretched with the hands making pincer-like nipping motions. A dolphinesque kick in mid pogo could be an advanced move.

Am I close ?

We should have kept the updates on this thread and given it more life, especially for those who couldn't be there.

It was a truly epic moment and Rob Yong's bank manager ringing and begging us to stop putting the money in was a highlight.

Fear not though, we're looking to carry the Legacy of Larry on. Details will be posted soon but any ideas are welcome in the meantime.
