Bash is over for me, home and back in comfy kit. Just wanted to say thanks to Tighty for an exceptional job, it really must have been a challenge to keep BB8 running this time. Also thanks Ironside for his massive effort. Will have to pop back again tomorrow as Claw disappeared and I could not get the Dinosaurs off her, so if you are reading this Claire, pass um on to Laxie if you are setting off before midday tomorrow. Disappointed in the turn out but those that did manage to make it were great company and it really was a pleasure to spend time in their company. Many many laughs were had. Alea, well, the dealers and valets a credit to them, but the charges they tried to impose were imho well out of line. IE for a fun £5 stt with Tighty dealing with a twist game, they wanted £3 off each, this was just not going to happen and another game was also broke up for reasons that someone else will explain better as I was not in it. Once again great to meet up with such lovely people, till the next time.

Participated in my first every tighty sng and got royally screwed for my whole stack! GG girgy!

Yeah i'm just home too... after driving back to school reunion to find nobody there, gutted... could have stayed at leeds and got drunk after all ;(

As to the rake issues, I can only apologise. I had agreed with the managers there no rake on anything other than their regular cash games. Sadly this hadn't been passed on to those running the comp yesterday and I know this led to the Shrewdies £1-£1 Limit mixed game breaking, which I didn't know about at the time. Trying to charge 10 players £2 each to play a £5 Tighty SNG was interesting too. My face was probably a picture

Still, these few niggles aside, and with some slight disappointment we didn't crack 100 runners (22 people on the list never informed me they weren't showing), it was a pretty good day. Good card-room, fun dealers, great atmosphere

Also cannot wait for the day to see a tighty sit and go available to play on pokerstars - though will be interesting to see how the program copes with 4 card indian omaha dueces wild.... :D

Was pretty nice to be dealt 2 deuces in the 4 card Omaha deuces wild hand!

Sigh at having to split the pot with tank as we both had quad jacks!

I also sucked at the finding pairs game!!

Another day well organised, thanks. We rounded off the day with a trip to Akbars for the best curry in the north before heading home. So many nice folk and a great atmosphere.

I had a superb weekend. Thanks to Tighty & Ironside for all they did. Was great to put faces to forum names. Was also great to run good at Blackjack, win the HU and come back with more money than I went with.  ;yippee; ;yippee; Well played the whole team!

Top work tighty and iron. Really fun weekend. I sure didn't round it off by getting too drunk and making a first class prat of myself - sigh, fml etc. That apart, blonde bashes remain the absolute nuts. Can't wait for the next one!

Many, many thanks Tighty and Ironside for making my first Blonde bash memorable.  Had a great time, has made me realise what I am missing by going out instead of being stuck indoors, as it is the first time I have been out with a fun crowd since I retired.

Apart from my nervousness of being a novice at playing live poker (which I will definitely practise by next Blonde bash), the memories of the Friday night antics being shown how to enjoy yourself by The Duke, Laxie, Claw and Ironside and many others will remain with me for ever.

All the Blonde's I met were as nice as what makes this Forum the best! Thank you everyone for making me feel so welcome.

Ironside. Ironside is a sod. We've had more falling out's than Bongo has fallen down stairs. However it must be said he was immense this weekend. We were short-handed for organisers and he's meant to be on bed rest because of his back/wheelchair problem. You wouldn't have known it. Thank you to him for all his help. At 2am on Monday morning he was still holding court in the hotel bar, about 72 hours after he started shouting/singing and cajoling. Top man. Sometimes.  ;)
