Nesser2 can't complain, he played the hand rather passively until he was beat.

That's what I thought too. Gave me a free card on the turn to hit my flush.

Still, I thought it best not to say so in the chatbox.  ::)

is it just me, or do people have different personalities playing real life poker , than when they are online ?

I consider myself a very calm live player, and never raise my voice in anger, but when I am playing online (especially US sites), i spend half of my time typing obscenties and abuse into the chat box to wind the americans up.

dont know if it does any good, but its a great laugh....especially when I use the scottish abuse, and they havent a clue what I am on about....

Is that 'coz you're 'fraid of gettin' kok-knocked if you behave like that in a live game.

Playing a $20 SnG multi table on stars... I decided to limp in early position with the old 74:

Not bad me thinks but I didnt get much action from it... Imagine my surprise when a couple of hands later I pick up the monster again

I jammed my chips in on the flop and he called with K9 (surely he should have put me on 74????)... of course I rivered a 4 to take the pot but he should have seen that coming

This is brilliant... After a couple of limpers I made it 500 to play (50/100) on the button with 47.  The blinds folded and the limpers called... for the rest... see below, the money went in on the flop!

I know, I've seen you.  :D
The scared thing was supposed to be a joke.

Please don't hit me.

I made a decision to play 7 4 yesterday for one day just to see how it went - how is it that since then I haven't seen 4 7 in my hand at all??!?  All psyched up and no hand to call - what are the chances?  :blonde:

Ok - tonight in the £750 at Luton I played 4 7 - i was bored and thought I would give it a go as I hadn't had a hand for a year or two.....the flop went 2, 7, 5. I bet - he came over the top of me - I put him on A something (but he could have had a pocket pair) and he didn't believe I had anything which is why he came over the top, and I wasn't brave enough to continue .......

Within an hour I got and folded another 4 7 and the flop went 4, 7, 7..........

Moved onto tighty's table and folded 4, 7 only to see a flop of 3,5,6 which was won by a King high........

What are the chances of holding this hand so often after a complete drought of them - and then mucking it up so completely?!  8) Hmmmm - next time.....

please step away from the table, do not play  4s 7d until you are positive it will win, you must have the ultimate courage to play the  4s 7d

HEALTH WARNING - THIS HAND IS DANGEROUS. Do NOT try it at home, or unless you are a real Pro. Or American.

See what you started Sonny Boy Wilson? They are all at it now. Bring back J-4!

I know I did wrong....the lure of the rush, the high of winning on a pants hand, I wanted it sooo bad........I can't control it........I'm having a T shirt printed saying "I have ultimate courage" on the front and "I'm holding 4 7" printed on the back..........I am an addict ...... :blonde:

I wasn't to convinced about the power of the 7,4 offsuit because the only times I,ve won with this hand is when I've pushed it through on a bluff,

    until last night..

I was at my sisters home game where nearly every hand goes to showdown,so inventive play is kept at a minimum.I played like a rock most of the evening, premium hands and my big blind when it wasn't raised, then I picked up 4c 7h  I couldn't help but raise with it and got called by my brother in-law in the big blind.

 flop came 4d 6c Kh...brother in-law bet  I called.

turn came  7c...brother in-law bet I went all-in and he called

he turns over Ah As..the river was nothing

I couldn't help but give a little chuckle as raked in the chips as my brother in-law gave me the abuse I probably deserved for playig that hand in the first place..

 but now I BELIEVE

you are blessed

I played  4c 7h last night. I waited patiently for ages and then I looked down ad saw it. Nirvana!

the moment had arrived, I was in the cut off. Two limpers. I raised the pot and sat back looking nonchalant.

Two callers

This was it, I was a disciple of the great Brian Wilson

Down comes the flop

 Ad Ac Kc

After heavy action before it got round to me I folded, meekly.

I'm sure I was too timid, I should have raised all-in!!
