Well ive not played many higher buy in tournaments for a while due to personal finances etc... I am looking to play the £100 freezeout at Alea this coming Friday and I am looking to shift some of my action as I have recently had to pay a few things out from the RTA i had last week! I am still going to play this event regardless of how much i sell but idealy dont want to use all of my Birthday funds on the pokerz!

The event:

7th May: Alea Leeds £100 f/o - 10k/30min/£1000 added

The proposal:

I am looking to sell 40% of my action at face value (£44). I would prefer one backer but i am happy to sell in 10% blocks (£11 per 10%)

My record:

I have had a couple of deep runs in the DTD monthly events but have failed to make the cash on day 2. I have an edge in this event against a soft local field and the comp has £1k added!

I put out a genuine staking request.
I then get put down on the thread.
Now unable to play the comp so I state this and ask mods to remove the thread.
Get more comedians sticking their pennys worth in!

I no longer need staking for this event so why leave the thread up for people to keep having cheap digs?

it might seem like that to a neutral observer, but it's not hard to understand that from Girgy's perspective it must feel like being picked on as an easy target for cheap laughs, especially when everyone keeps piling in.  I've cringed reading this thread tbh.

Fair enough, not a lot different to many Girgy threads I thought, where he takes it all in good spirit and plays up to it. Thus I assumed this was more of the same.

I think it's been fine, but I feel george's comments have been a bit out of line. If you don't think much of someone as a player that's fine, don't buy any action, but I think it's pretty poor form to then go ahead and make such comments in their staking thread. I'd be pretty pissed off if someone did that in one of my threads.

I don't think you can back out now after securing the staking. You've got time to get the rest together so you don't have to grim us. However, when you play let's have a bit more hunger and commitment to take it down. All this will play wont play is half-hearted. You're short of money? What better way to remedy the situation.
