I've been partaking in an idea that Tighty has wanted to do in an update for ages...so I nicked it and did it. During the break, Tighty was telling Joobs and I about watching one table for a rotation of the button, and mentioned that a good table would be the Keys/Deadman/Lefevre/Bradley/Spring/Tuxworth table.

Anyway, I got there to find hand 1 in progress, with Steve Spring all in against Andrew Tuxworth. Spring was holding Q-J against Tuxworth's 10-9 on a Jd 4h 2h Qd board. The river was the Ad and Spring doubled up.

Hand 2 saw Simon Deadman make it 525, with Julian Lefevre calling. Mohammed Ifzail then made it 3k only to see Andrew Tuxworth move all in. Everyone quickly folded and Tuxworth added 5k to his stack.

Hand 3 saw Tuxworth limp from the cutoff and Graham Pound check the BB. Pound then check-called 400 on the Qc Kd 2c flop and they both checked the 4h turn. Pound checked the 9h river, and Tuxworth nonchalantly threw out 1400. Pound quickly folded, only to be shown 8h 7d for 8 high.

Hand 4 started off with Lefevre limping. Bradley, Ifzail and Tuxworth all did the same, with Pound making up from the SB and James Keys checking his BB. The 6 saw a 9h 7d 5c flop and this was the start of madness. It was checked to Ifzail who bet 500. Tuxworth confidently made it 2k, with Pound and Keys folding. Lefevre then flat called, only to see Ifzail move all in for 5k total. Tuxworth called that, and Lefevre then moved all in! Tuxworth was priced in to call and did so.

Tuxworth: Ah 7h
Lefevre: 8h 6h

The board ran out Js turn and Ks river with Lefevre trebling up and Ifzail heading for the rail.

Hand 5 saw a tilted Tuxworth shove for 10k pre. At 100/200/25a. Unsurprisingly, everyone passed.

Hand 6 saw Tuxworth open limp again, with Steve Spring then making it 675. Keys called on the button, Lefevre called from the BB and as usual, Tuxworth called. They all checked the 9s Jc Qc flop, and Lefevre led out for 600 on the 9d turn. Spring and Keys called, with Tuxworth folding for the first time! The river was the Td, and Lefevre led again for 700. Spring passed and Keys called. Lefevre had Q-8 with Keys holding 8-7 for the straight and a split pot.

Hand 7 saw Tuxworth move all in again from UTG! Everyone folded, as usual.

Hand 8 saw Keys make it 525. All folded except our man Tuxworth, who called from the BB. Both checked the Td Ad 9h flop, and Tuxworth check-folded the 4h turn.

Hand 9 saw Lefevre make it 600, only for that man Tuxworth to shove all-in. Lefevre smiled wryly and folded.

Yeah, it was good. Especially on a table where people generally know of at least half of the table.

Main issue with it is that you could get 9 hands of raise/fold preflop. To get it spot on you have to execute perfect table selection - and as all poker players know, we're all shit at that!!

As I went to get this, I spotted an interesting hand on Table Keys. m3boy had raised to 3.2k over the top of 2 limpers, only to see Tasos Grigoriou shove for 17k from the SB and James Keys flat-call from the BB. I got there with m3boy in the tank and everyone listening to Chinese Frankie vent over his Aces getting cracked. Tasos must have got fed up with either m3boy tank or Chinese Frankie talk as he wandered off to check out a nearby table! Frankie jumped on this straight away and the floor was called to rule as to whether Tasos' hand was dead or not. Floor ruled it was live but warned Tasos about walking away. m3boy eventually passed A-Ko and it was Tasos at risk.

Sukbhir Jolly. Very quiet and reserved. Best reported result is 10th in a DTD £150 in 2009

Andriena Nutt. Not just Daniel Nutt's sister. Quite a player to watch really, got real game. A certain star quality. One player yesterday remarked to me "I was out of position to her all day, she's a right pain" Which is a nice compliment!

Neil Allen. From Newcastle, now lives Milton Keynes. Larger than life character. 10th in the February 2010 DTD Deepstack. Finalist in a Walsall Main Event.

Sean Quinn Hails from ireland Swindon. Has two non-final table cashes in the DTD Deepstack.

Julian Thew. One of the least experienced players in the field. At being impolite. Poker Stars Sponsored Nottingham Poker Hero with two GUKPT wins and EPT win but not from what I can see a single cash in the DTD Deepstack. Could today be the day for our mild mannered janitor from these parts?

Anon. Often reaches the latter parts of the DTD Deepstack, and you hardly notice him. Not very photogenic.

Karl Guiness. Heir to the Guinness family fortune, and playing out of a £2m a year Trust fund. I may have made this up.

Daniel Phillips. APAT winner at the inaugural event in 2006. Lover of speed Cameras, Homeopathy, religion and Photographers. Normally a cash player with a dramatic return to form in the DTD 6 Max comp last month, second for £2,500 and now deep in this....

Firstly, he lost a massive chunk to Thomas McKinney, with A-K vs A-A all in pre. The 9-6-K-Q-9 board was no help for Cunningham, and it didn't take him long to get the rest in with 5c 5d against Andy Gomm's Qh Qc. The flop was Ad 7d 3d, giving Tommy more outs, but the turn and river were a diamond-less Th and 9s, sending Tommy to the rail within 10 minutes of day 2.

Also gone is Matthew Jackson, he lost 95% of his stack with A-K vs J-J. The flop was a nice 2-A-7, leaving his opponent, Peter Wilkerson, drawing to 2 outs. The turn was a blank but the river was a cruel Jack, leaving Jackson with 1bb, which went in on the very next hand after Mickey Wernick had raised it up with Kh Th. Jackson turned his hand over to reveal the dominated Tc s5, and despite chop calls and club calls after the turn, the board ran out Ac 6c Ks Jc 5d to send Jackson home.

Andriena Nutt is not a happy bunny.

She limped for 3k only to find Alan Goodrum shoving for 22.3k next to her. Manoj Mistry then decided he wanted to get involved, and re-raised to 47k. It was folded back round to Dreenie, who decided enough was enough and pushed all in for a total of 170k! There were that many chips involved, the dealer found himself counting and recounting to confirm that it was 170k total.

This annoyed an all-in Goodrum, who decided to call a clock on Mistry after what I felt to be a short amount of time, considering it was for a 400k pot at 1.5k-3k/300. Nutt felt the same way, because after Mistry passed pretty quickly into the allotted time, she turned to Goodrum and angrily asked him why he'd called the clock as she flipped a very well trapped A-A. Goodrum shrugged and flipped a dominated A-K.

Just to compound things, the flop came 10-K-K, giving Goodrum trips and leaving Dreenie drawing to one card. That card never came as the turn and river were both 8's, sending the main pot in Goodrum's direction and leaving the 25k extra back to Nutt. Mistry claimed to have folded pocket 10's however...

Julian Thew has just picked up a nice pot off Kinboshi.

Thewy raised it to 7500 and got one caller in BB Kinboshi, who then check-raised Thewy's 6k c-bet to 16k on the 8s 6h 7d flop. The turn was a scary 9s, and Boshi checked again. This didn't deter Julian, who bet 15k. Boshi passed, showing the 8c with a wry grin, and Thewy laughed and showed the 9c.

On table 14, Mickey Wernick has just had a spot of luck to double up. Sukhbir Jolly limped on the button, with Wernick making up in the SB and Martin Malone checking his option in the BB. The flop came Q-10-4hh and Wernick checked. Malone led for 6.1k and Jolly called. The leg-end then shoved for 22k total which got Malone to fold, but Jolly snapped and flipped a slowly played Q-Q for top set. Mickey could only show K-Q for top pair, but the J turn and A river was enough to suck out and put Mickey back over 50k.

Tamer Kamel is our unfortunate bubble boy.

He had battled back after being down to 8k on the bubble, tripling up with K-J vs A-9 and x-x on a J-9-3-3-5 board, but he was unable to hang on as he got it all in against Matthew Dowden's Q-Q with A-K. The door card was an ace, but a sneaky lady was hiding underneath it to give Dowden a set and send Tamer to the rail one short of the money.

Ian McDonald was the first to go when he got it all in with 9-9 against Richard Cashman's A-K, the board running out A-4-4-7-2 to make Ian the first man to head towards the cash desk.

Next to leave us was Nic Markou who took 4-4 up against Will Kassouf's J-9, that board finished up 6-7-J-10-A to send the pot Kassouf's way and Nic joined Ian at the cash desk.

Soon after, Karl Guiness pushed all in with A-K and was racing against Martin Malone's 10-10. The flop settled this one though, 10-K-10 giving Malone quads and Guiness wryly joined the spectator throng at the rail.

Yeah Martin is one of the good ones. Definitely his time for a big bink - he's been grinding 2nl online for around 2 years now which I think gives an insight into his dedication and motivation, as well as discipline with regards to bankroll management.

Despite playing over 20 online mtt's the big score has evaded him until now, but amongst the group of us we knew this was coming. This mincash will mean the world to him so be sure to congratulate him heavily if he blows up and bustos now.
