Many thanks to DTD for funding the update. Of course, for these to continue and for both Monthly deepstacks to be updated, they and we need you to play on DTD Online to help pay for them.

You can sign up via downloading from one of the banners on the site eg >>>>>>>>>>>>>

If you do so and then give us some of your online play, you'll be helping maintain the live update service

thank you

Everyone has circa 10k atm Tikay. Except Simon Deadman who has about 12k, and the guy he just took 2k from has about 8k.

Up to 75 runners now, very strange atmosphere. Everyone playing quite tight on my 1st inspection of the tables.

Ali Mallu just buying in so that is about to change i think...

Table 0 (?) looks fun, with Mr Wrigglersworth, & Miss Nutt sat side by side. Who will yield first?

But the action should come from this Table......

2 1 Caroline Cove
2 2 Tim Slater
2 3 Kyriacos Dionysiou
2 4 Lucienne Rokach
2 5 Colin Young
2 6 Wayne Smithson
2 7 Jason Herbert
2 8 Adebayo Odetoyinbo

Good grief, Ade is in for a fun afternoon if he starts shooting his mouth against Seat 1 & Seat 4!

Table 0 is what they traditionally use as the final table.

Lots of fun could be had on several tables, it's just a matter of time.

Ade Bayo owner of Chompy has doubled up.

I got there just as he was set all in on the turn of a 9 10 J 7 board by Greek Jack.

Ade eventually called with Q8, Jack had 10 8. 6 on the river and Jack is down to about 1600.

Colin Young is on his starting stack at the moment.

Caroline Cove doesn't appear to be in her seat as yet.

Mark McCluskey is the days first casualty.

He check called a 500 bet from John Exley on a flop of  Js Th 5s and got it all in on the turn which was the  Aspades

Mark had  Ks Qh

John had  Ts 7s

Blank on the river and Mark is now in the £50 comp.

Just got back home to find this.

Have phoned DTD and they have clarified it was their mistake. My seat should have been transferred to 2nd Oct.

I have now printed the email I received from them during the week to bring with me.

I guess the remainder of my stack will be removed from play.

Ade's table is providing so much entertainment that its hard to concentrate on the other tables.

He has just won a pot v Caroline Cove and stood up proclaiming he loves himself and is kissing his biceps. This prompted Mitch Johnson 2 tables away to pretend to throw something at him.

Ade then tried to find a business card to give to Caroline but unfortunately for her or him he has ran out. Caroline stated she would like to be able to get a word in f******* edgeways, so from that you can see how vocal he is becoming.

Mohammet Alpar who went out first hand last month, all in pre with JJ v AA, is still in at level 3.

To be fair, he has just bought in so maybe some news soon...

More action on Table Ade.

Folds round to the chest beater who makes it 600. The button flats and Caroline in the small blind asks Ade what happened when she attacked his blinds?

Ade says why are you talking so much when you are gonna fold? Caroline replies if i raise you know you will fold and then makes what can only be described as a farting noise. Oh come on replies ade, now i know what the rest of the table feel like when i start being loud!!

Caroline then announces raise and makes it 2100. Ade does indeed fold and makes the noise suggested by Caroline. The button then moves all in for 7k and Caroline calls.

Anon KK

Caroline AA

No shocks on the board and Caroline is up to 20k.

He so nearly made it to 100-200. If only he could have hung on for 1 min longer.

I'm sat at the back near the food hatch, Ade's table is near the cash desk. I can hear him and Caroline from here.

Dreenie up to 20k, she bet 550 on a  2d 9h Ahrt Qd 7c board, her opponent Stephen Hogg went to call but through in 5100 by mistake leaving 25 behind. The ruling was he has bet 5100. Dreenie called with Q2 and scooped the pot.

More fun from table Ade.

He bets 300 on the river of a  2d  Ahrt Kd 4c 5d board and is called by Caroline who qickly flips queens. Is that good? she enquires. Yes replies Ade. Well give me the chips she shouts. Oh hang on says Ade, still with his cards face down, i'm wrong, you lose. The TD tells him to flip his cards, well you will see why i got it wrong says Ade and turns over  Qd Td. This prompts Caroline to shout what a shit player and slowroller Ade is. This obviously upsets him and he gets on his chair and declares his love for himself again and does his now signature kissing of biceps. He is then asked to behave by the TD.

There is a crowd round the table now. It's not gonna get any quieter i feel.

It's not gonna get any quieter i feel.
this guys a riot !!!! is he a nice guy off the felt lol

Piccies will be on their way.

I'm having a few probs with the software and with all the excitement going on i haven't had time to sort it out and watch the tables.

Simon Deadman is gone.

Yeah I'm out, not very happy, I bet 5200 on the river of a KJXXA board with 4 spades, and the guy snaps with AA - obv good, then I limp with K10, 4 way flop QJA - 2 diamonds, sb instant shoves for 2800 - limper flats, I re shove, he calls with J6 diamonds, the other guy has A3, turn 7 of diamonds - gg

Thank you to those who helped me play this event, sorry I couldn't of done any better, pretty angry and deflated right now, as so few runners, and the standard is pretty horrific.

Gl to all blondies left in, and Micky Wernick one time ftw?.. He is due :-)

there was also a two hour delay northbound on the M1, closed 10-12pm J15-18. Some runners heading from down South will have turned back. Add that to the £1k WSOP-E event and the online events tonight, and hopefully these are circumstances that wouldn't be repeated next month if they persist.

True true even the numbers for the 1k wsop arnt as high so far as i would of thought as 400 roughly so far with another day 1 tomorrow as everyone reckoned there would be over 800! Sign of the goood days may be declining numbers with so much competion everywhere !

BAM has 28k, and let out a little cheer as he told me he had bust Mitch.

Jakally is grinding a shortish stack.

BobAlike who doesn't look like me has just played like me. He limped for 300 and called a raise to 1050 with A3hh. He then shoved the 234 flop and was called by KK. K on the turn and 5 on the river mean Bob is up to 20k. WP.

she is doing well. currently on 36k and doesn't seemed affected by other things going on.

She has been moved to a different table from Ade which is a bit of a shame.

Talking of which he is on 40. 5 limpers into his BB he shoved 18000. The small blind (Vincent Price) no not that one, but the other one called with 99 and Ade rivered an Ace. He has asked me to do two things. First of all he would like me to tell you all that he is a donk, and secondly he would like to say Hi to Mayo.

Caroline Cove has jost lost a 28k pot. Button raised she 3bet and the button shoved. J on the flop sees Caroline drop to 22k. Stephen Hogg up to 28000.

Interesting situation on Table Ade.

Brian French raises to 1200 which is called in three places.

Ade in the BB goes all in for approx 40k. Brian insta calls and flips AA over, the other 3 players fold strangely enough but the exposure goes unnoticed by the TD and therefore un-punished.

AA holds and Brian is up to 25000.

BobAlike is upto 30k. Gifted 10000 from sicilian who had some sort of flush draw & straight draw and missed the lot.

Sicilian then doubled up Alan McBride who had err AA. No surprise there then. Alan up to 6000 Dean still on about 30000 but i can feel it coming, any time now.

Jon Lundy has put a £50 bounty on his head, which may have lead to David Newman calling Turk's all in with Q 10. Was no good v the KK of Mr Turk.

Anon one AK

David QQ

Turk shoved 6 bigs with QQ called by the A3 of lundy.

The board ran out a painful Q J 7 10 K. And Mr Lundy scoops the loot.

BAM is sat next to Ade.

Brian said Ade is shit & Ade said Brian is a poker genius. They seem to be getting on very well though.

Had a chat with Ade about 'Chompygate' He said quite a bit about it, most of which confused me but he feels he done nothing wrong and the hand was inevitable anyway. I agree.

He finished it off with kissing his arms. I made a quick escape.

Whilst that convo was going on Anon doubled up with AA v the KK of Waheed Ashraf. Then two hands later lost with AA v the shortish button shove from Chris Lynch

Anon has had a roller coaster two hands back to back. First of all he has his AA cracked by the Wadey's QQ which knocks him down to 45k and sends Wadey into the chip lead with 110k. Then he raisdes to 3700 with AK and Ade shoves for 40k with 73 off. 7 on the flop but Anon 4 flushes Ade on the river. Back up to 80000.

Ade is out.

Hi Celtic, nice to meet you and the sicilidonk.

Quick tourney report.
Loads of pocket pairs only tripped up once on an all spade flop so didn't get paid.
Got lucky with A3hh against KK but the villain had raised probably 6 times in the previous dozen hands.
Took some chips off sicilidonk.
Moved tables and first hand JJ utg and lost circa 15k to Wadey.
Card dead for the next hour.
Out!
66 mile drive home.
Good night.

However, a lot of the players are saying that they would like to carry on til the money. Should be interesting in about 30 minutes time.

yep would concur with Dreenie.....even the mouth warmed to Bassi taking the piss each time he put a raise in saying "I have a hand".....contrary to Ms Cove's comments about Mickey Wernick being called the worm, Mickey clarified that he got it from playing cash and every time he was down he came back and like a worm if you chop it in half it still survives, the story of Mickey's poker life the guy is a stayer....I prefer the worm rather than the Legend just doesnt quite seem to fit......all my cash benefactors pre 2005 know me as Semtex and I will be happy to be known as that by them and anyone else cos I was given the name by a player I respect...dont think its fair you give yourself a name....Mickey also went on to explain how Devilfish ended up getting his name, but only caught the end of that 1.....Have to say quite enjoyed being on the table with Mickey, and Dave Smith the 2 gentlemen of the poker scene and even Ms Cove was more fun than I expected!

Title: Re: DTD Mid September Deepstack: £40,000 Guaranteed
Post by: semtex on September 19, 2010, 03:09:10 AM
On that note.....Dont usually slag people off and it seems a bit hypocritical thinking about what im gonna say....but some guy on my table happened to be wearing a Christian Audigier £600 hoody (they saw him coming) decided to tell the whole table how he thought Dreenie looked like a horse and was one of the worst players for losing it and dressing people down when she goes out......for 1 I think Dreenie has learnt many lessons over the last few months and I certainly havent seen her act in that way of late....but it just pisses me off when people wanna bad mouth other players...this is supposed to be a gentleman's /ladies game, but many players dont act in that manner....you will never see Dave Smith or Mickey lose their cool, or disrespect their fellow professionals, the most you will see is a wry smile....Mr "Ed Hardy" also saw fit to slag off the well loved Ade, by the time I had spent 1 3 levels in his company I was praying to be moved to Ade's table for some respite or at least some headache tablets....he was very much up his own Rs and was making suggestive and lude comments to the lady next to him, Eleanor I think her name was....Anyways off my pedestal now....can we try to respect our fellow poker players and if we wanna dis people at least have the decency to say it to their face not when they have left the building!

the name is jason herbert..come find me tomorrow and will talk to you about it.  what i actually said was if she wore a yasmac then she would look like a horse. only seen here play twice and she was a horrible piece of work who was miles ahead  and started cursing swearing as tho she was a spoilt child. an old boy who claimed  to be her traveling partner or buddy told me she had issues and had sibling rivalry problems. someone also told me she sits on her laptop putting her own name in the hendonmob data base search engine so she gets most hits for the week. now these are people who know her so who am i to say she is an angel. i respect her game although the results are not impressive she has the aggression needed to go far. but as samuel jackson said "i never complain about a bad shot or getting beat at golf coz i aintgood enough yet".  the reason why i had to tell ade what a cock he was being (to his face) was in reference to a personal comment he made to a young guy who had just moved to the table. it crossed the decency boundry and i thought it was out of order. i think he is good for the game and enjoyed his company having also watched him on numerous occasions the most recent was his gukpt master piece. he asked me if i was threatening him which i was not just trying to reason with the guy that speech play is all well and good but his comment was crass and abussive. ade then got a warning from the floor manager (according to this blog but i had nipped to the toilet). the only time he shut up was when another guy threatened to put him in the boot of his car. now if you want to ask your dave smiths, ali mallus neil channingsor julian thews an opinion about me then i am sure you will be shocked from your first impression.  we may have to discuss these lewd comments made to the lady on my right. when razz asked me what was on my phone i replyed porn. what i was actually was showing her was mickeys results down the years and when i showed mickey he was happy tosee he is only 3 or 4 k off winning a million in life time earnings. now if my wife reads about the lewd comment episode i am gonna be in a world of pain from her but that wont be anything compared to the predicament you may just find yourself in. any way semtex man up and come see me  before the restart in the afternoon and bring miss nutt along if you want an appology to her face

the name is jason herbert..come find me tomorrow and will talk to you about it.  what i actually said was if she wore a yasmac then she would look like a horse. only seen here play twice and she was a horrible piece of work who was miles ahead  and started cursing swearing as tho she was a spoilt child. an old boy who claimed  to be her traveling partner or buddy told me she had issues and had sibling rivalry problems. someone also told me she sits on her laptop putting her own name in the hendonmob data base search engine so she gets most hits for the week. now these are people who know her so who am i to say she is an angel. i respect her game although the results are not impressive she has the aggression needed to go far. but as samuel jackson said "i never complain about a bad shot or getting beat at golf coz i aintgood enough yet".  the reason why i had to tell ade what a cock he was being (to his face) was in reference to a personal comment he made to a young guy who had just moved to the table. it crossed the decency boundry and i thought it was out of order. i think he is good for the game and enjoyed his company having also watched him on numerous occasions the most recent was his gukpt master piece. he asked me if i was threatening him which i was not just trying to reason with the guy that speech play is all well and good but his comment was crass and abussive. ade then got a warning from the floor manager (according to this blog but i had nipped to the toilet). the only time he shut up was when another guy threatened to put him in the boot of his car. now if you want to ask your dave smiths, ali mallus neil channingsor julian thews an opinion about me then i am sure you will be shocked from your first impression.  we may have to discuss these lewd comments made to the lady on my right. when razz asked me what was on my phone i replyed porn. what i was actually was showing her was mickeys results down the years and when i showed mickey he was happy tosee he is only 3 or 4 k off winning a million in life time earnings. now if my wife reads about the lewd comment episode i am gonna be in a world of pain from her but that wont be anything compared to the predicament you may just find yourself in. any way semtex man up and come see me  before the restart in the afternoon and bring miss nutt along if you want an appology to her face

First casualty of the day is Simon Connor. He called a raise in the BB from Christopher Moore with  Qc Tc.

The flop comes  Jc 8c 6s. Simon shoves for about 25k. Christopher makes the call with  6d 7h

Two bricks and Simon is gone.

Chinese Frankie is playing cash whilst refereeing the Liverpool game. Loudly.

A 40 yr old male with kids, feels the need to slag off ppl, behind a computer screen?. So tell me if I got your back up that much, why didn't you say anything to my face? lol - All of what your saying is 100% lies, u must sit at home, making all this up, it is quite weird tbh. Not impressive results? - I don't need your good wishes and acceptance, but I think you  will find  you are also way off the mark there. I normally choose to not play live poker, mainly because of male species like yourself. For someone who is 40 yrs old, and has children of there own, I am highly shocked and actually feel pity for you, that you would go to these lengths to let everyone know how disgusting you think I am. Good day to you, make sure you do everything you say yeah?

The bubble is burst!

The unlucky bubble boy is Sarah McPherson. Got very shortstacked and shoved with JJ. Got 4 callers including the BB. A high board was no good as the BB had A4.

Final table bubble now. Everyone in the money.

And we have a final.

Folded round to Chris Moore in the SB who set Ian Gasgoine all in for his final 18000. Ian made the call.

Ian A 2

Chris K 6

A king and a 6 on the board means Ian is our tenth place finisher taking home £600.

Break now whilst they get set for the final.

Yep, the short stack is on about 15 bigs at the moment.

Average is about 30 bigs.

Is called by Chris Moore with JJ

No help for Paul and he is out in 8th place.

Just before that Ramazanali raised to 30k and was called by Wadey who checked the  Qc 3c 2c Ramazanali moved all in for 94500. Wadey dwelled for what seemed like ages and passed when Ramazanali said he would show him.

He turned over the  Ad and mucked the other card.

still 7 handed and just about to go on a break. Which is probably a good thing for Wadey as he seems to be getting a bit frustrated, his pre flop raises are getting called a lot and and c-bets are getting him shoved on.

Blnds will be 4000-8000-800 when we resume.

Remember these updates are funded by DTD. Whilst they may not be overly concerned with the overlay for this weekend there was a lot of concern at my food bill, so if you would like to keep me in food for future updates then please download DTD poker. Thanks.

Wadey back in it. Limped in the sb with K10 and got it all in on a 9-10-5 flop v the 96 of Mo Ifzail. 10 on the turn sealed it and Mo is out.

Brian French is getting right into the banter side of it. He calls a raise from Wadey for 20k, Wadey tells him he knows exactly what hand he has. Brian says he is only calling to do Wadey a favour.

The flop comes A-8-6.

Wadey leads for 25k telling Brian his KJ is no good.

Brian moves all in and has Wadey covered. Wadey folds. The table laugh. Brian is enjoying himself.

Hi Jason.....I did infact head to DTD on my way back to Luton today, I bumped into Vinnie who mentioned that you had replied to my post, had I the time to read your post or reply then I would have done so and would have quite happily discussed things with you face to face, Im not an aggressive  person so there is unlikely to be fisticuffs however i do respect both Ade and Andrienna and hence the reason I defended them, I probably should have discussed this with you on the day, but poker was my prime focus, or made you aware that Andrienna in particular is a good friend....We all have our opinions on other players and their characters, I was simply saying that I felt that you were a little bit too vocal about these two particular players and Im pleased that you had the balls to speak to Ade about your objections to his behaviour....Ade and Andrienna are good for the game as you say and if you have problems with them then by all means let them know directly...The problem I had with you in particular and I would say this to your face was you asked me about my Pokerstars UKIPT hoodie and what I had played in terms of the events, but it was soon clear to me that you wanted to blow ur own trumpet in that you had cashed in a previous event and plan to buy into the EPT leg in London....you have to admit that you singled out Eleanor for special attention and were a little bit over the top in comments to her. Im sure you are happily married and I wouldnt like to cast aspersions to your loyalty to your wife and family or cause problems for you, that is certainly not my place.....Congratulations on your latest cash in the deepstack this weekend and I sincerely hope you do well in your efforts in the EPT also. I would like to add that I have plenty of people who wish to knock me for no apparent reason other than perhaps a hint of jealousy, in particular from players at my local club, perhaps the reason I am a bit sensitive for other players on this matter! No hard feelings and hope to see you soon, I dont expect Dreenie to have such a laissez faire approach with you judging by her post!

we may have to discuss these lewd comments made to the lady on my right. when razz asked me what was on my phone i replyed porn. what i was actually was showing her was mickeys results down the years and when i showed mickey he was happy tosee he is only 3 or 4 k off winning a million in life time earnings. now if my wife reads about the lewd comment episode i am gonna be in a world of pain from her but that wont be anything compared to the predicament you may just find yourself in. any way semtex man up and come see me  before the restart in the afternoon and bring miss nutt along if you want an appology to her face

This is spot on (aside from I was sat to your left), Jason came straight up to me on Sunday to check that I did not feel he had said anything inappropriate and I have to say I was very surprised that he felt the need to even ask as nothing that could be considered such was said, anyway thought I'd check out this forum to see what the story was.  It was a pleasure to meet Jason and Mickey and I really enjoyed listening to Mickey talk about the way he got his nickname  Impressive set of results were shown to me going well back and I'm sure Mickey will soon reach that $1million mark - best of luck to him.  If I in anyway appeared uncomfortable it was purely down to attempting to put some serious thought into how I was going to get some chips due to a terminal card deadness issue at what I considered to be a crucial time in the tournament (I played this tournament once before a while back and I made it to day 2 short stacked and went out on the first hand and I was determined to get some chips this time or bust trying rather than hope the card situation improved) otherwise I would of probably chatted more with the table as a whole some interesting characters.  Anyway just wanted to clear this up and hopefully I'll be back to take this tournament down in the not too distant future (well you gotta hope.)

Breaking news

Rich,

At future DTD Deepstacks we will be removing the facility for the blonde updaters to have a tab for food and soft drinks. This is because of the weekend's events, strains on staff workload and the extra food required.

I hope you understand

xxxxx, DTD

Vinny???????

Great updates Vinny and nice to meet you.

Was never going to win this with what was going on around me but was pleased with my game considering. Lost that big pot with qq v jj and lost the last dregs of fight in me with it. Was in no rush to head home so acted like a degen as expected. Got a lot of support from my friends who know what has really been going on for some time now, and also support from some unexpected corners, for which I thank you all.

I assume from the lack of salad and the removal of pineapple mentioned vinny that your body now rejects anything healthy so you take aview its better not to confuse it? :)

Hmm, not keen on salad. Don't really see what purpose it serves. I mean, I don't mind it with  an  onion bhaji or if its smothered in chili sauce with a load of doner meat. Even a chicken caeser salad at a push. But people that have just salad for lunch or dinner need looking at imo. I did nearly relegate the steak to 3rd on the list because it  came with chips and salad. It was close.

+1 to backing rooks in an eating comp.

As the game board boys are having a WSOP monopoly event maybe their could be a wsop eating event with the loser to pick up the tab.
I could then buy a 10% stake in Vinny 1 (hope to have 300 posts by then) in case my horse loses

Well done Vinny!....when you return to Luton can you remind Alan (gray?) that just because he has overraised his KJ (suited) utg he can still infact fold to my all in with KK......needless to say he hit Jack on the flop, Jack on the turn to deny me a seat on the £100 FO final table....well played mate, glad I chose to play Luton instead of DTD :)
