My opinion is that attitude is uncalled for in a thread which is obviously lighthearted. People are playing 47o/s for fun, for kicks. Because Brian Wilson did it, and people feel good about it. Whats the world come to when you can't have fun...


And just because he only plays with premium holdings does not make it the "right way" to play poker. And just because someone raises with 47o/s UTG does not mean he is a "joke" to poker.

IMO at the end of the sentence you quoted, as I'm sure you know, stands for in my opinion. We're all entitled to state our opinions here with an equal voice on issues pertaining to poker.

I don't think he's got an attitude just because he goes against the grain on this one. If the 47 cult is compulsory I, for one, don't want a part of it.

As tank says, everyone has an opinion and there entitled to express that opinion, provided it is in a civilised manner. I feel this 4 7 o/s thingy is taking over the board, and i just expressed this fact, as did tank, teacake and Nem (OMG i cant believe Nem actually agreed with me on something lol).

If you dont agree with my opinion, thats can only be good and healthy for an internet forum debate.

But for you to come at me with cheeky comments, is just childish and disgusting IMO.

Guys. If you're gonna argue, please could you leave it to pm. Some of this sounds personal, and it would probably be best if you kept the bickering off the forum.

Also, this board's only been up for a day or two, and I'd hate to see it go belly up at such an early stage. I really wouldn't want to see it removed from the forum due to a bust up over the 7-4 hand.

Perhaps its just the medium of text and the inability to convey true emotion. I felt your original post had the usual "bite at mikky" attitude in it... I'm not always right though - so if you didnt then I'm obvious being too tetchy for a Friday morning :)

But anyway, the 4/7 stuff is a good laugh - but you stated that anyone who plays is piss poor and is a joke to poker. Thats not just an opinion, its an opinion with some bite to it...

1) 4/7 was played by myself the first time to shut up a loud mouth idiot at a local casino
2) it is my favorite hand, i will comtinue to play it WHEN EVER I feel the situation is right
3) I love the t-shirts and stuff,  great fun 8)
4) Why anyone would argue or be "upset" by people having fun is beyong me, I think we need more of it myself!
5) Just because I have a bracelet does not make me ANY different, maybe after the next one we can talk 8)

If I can get into someones head, make them think more about my play then their own, bust people w/ big hands by playing "unconventional" poker, travel the world and have great fun, then I think that says all that needs to be said about MY play of  4s 7d! Its all about winning and that is what I plan to do. Just win baby, just win :cheers:

Yip, in a game with one joker players just sit and wait for it. The balance of the game is topsy-turvy if one card is too powerful.

In a home game if you want to fleece your pals extra quick great, it'd never work in a casino/cardroom though.
