We've made it, which wasn't looking likely earlier!

Car issues and laptop issues, but all are now resolved. Joobs is bouncing around in nervous anticipation with this being her first ever update. Make her feel wanted, won't ya guys? The tournament is due to start in 9 mins time and there are currently 177 players registered with a queue to buy in.

Cf has just appeared with a ticket for £1.01 from Larry. £0.01 profit!

Maria is OUT :(

Nadim Sarwar raised preflop only to find Maria 3-betting with Ac Ad. He called and they saw a Qc 7h 6d flop. Sarwar then check-called a pot bet from Maria, who jammed on the Ts turn. Sadly for Maria, Sarwar had turned the nuts with 9h 8c and Maria has gone. From the comp, not DTD. Important that, as Chinese Frankie has just won £5 off Boshi after correctly spotting that Maria wasn't in the comp any more!

Sarwar is our early chip leader with 30k. George2Loose says Maria was the second player he'd knocked out in Level 1!

Blinds up, 50/100.

So slightly nervous and not really sure i know what i'm doing I wander down to table 31, and catch this...

As i arrive we have a board of Ad 9d 5c 3h seat 1 Paul Grummitt has just bet and been called by seat 7 Kirit Patel. The pot is around 11.5k at this point.
River comes down 4d. Grummit pushes all in for 4525. Patel who has around 4600 left tanks and tanks and tanks then tanks some more... seat 3 calls clock. Patel stands up and eventually calls with Ac Ks  Grummitt shows Ahrt Td and is out in 222nd

Steve Holden arrived 15 minutes into level 2 and was up to 20k when he knocked out Mateyboy with KQ vs JJ on a Q high flop.

As Alan McBride was telling me this story, Steve raised a 600 bet from Nick Gavriel to 3600 on a 3d 6c 4c flop. Gavriel tanked before moving all-in and Steve instantly called.

Nick: 3s 3h
Steve: Ac Qc

Nick managed to fade Steve's outs on a 9s turn and Qh river, doubling up and sending Steve back to 10k.

Carl Thomas (proudly sporting one of those OneWayPoker shirts) has just doubled through Lu Xu. Thomas bet 3k on the turn of a 7h 4d 7c 5c board and Lu called. The river was the 3c and Lu pushed all in, covering Carl. Carl says "I don't think I can fold this hand, I really don't" before calling all-in. Lu announces "Flush" turning over Ac Qc and a relieved Carl says "house", flipping 5s 5h.

Been hanging around table 27

tittyhead chip count at about 13.5k

Matt in seat 1 is the Dealer button, seat 7 Wenrui Chen bets 325 seat 9 Robert Sampson and seat 3 Shaun Goy both call. The flop is Ts Kc 5h. Goy checks, Chen bets 1025. Goy is already counting out his chips as Sampson folds. Goy has a short think before calling. Turn is Th, Goy checks as does Chen. River sort of falls out of the dealers hand as he nearly drops the deck and is shown as Qc. Goy first to act bets 1850 with about 6.5 left behind. Chen who has around 8k  calls. Goy shows 5d 5s Chen mucks and Shaun Goy is now on around 12k

Interesting one on Table 48.

I head over there to find Sinem Melin stood up and chips in the middle. Took me a second look to realise she wasn't all in, it was Dennise Frost who had shoved for 6,125 into a 7650 pot. Her opponent, Farhad Mirfakhrai, was in the tank and eventually called for the floor. The floor came and Farhad called the clock on himself...60 seconds later, his hand is dead and Frost took the pot.

Apparently its not a slow roll when you tank for 4 minutes facing a 1900 chip bet with 8k in the middle on a QQA 9 Q board when holding an A!

Chip count for Jason Herbert  - 8.5k  (love the hoodie :)up)

As I passed table 21 George2loose was dying to tell me about a recent hand,  apparently he flopped quad 3's and his opponent turned quad 4's but he binked the 5th 3 on the river and now has a stack of 177,455. upon enquiring as to where his chips were as to me it looked around 10k he said they had been taken away to be cleaned as they were a bit dirty. I know I'm new to this but I smell something fishy there!!

ok swiftly bouncing back away from table 12, felt like the queen of doom.

As I arrive the board is 4c Ks 7s and chips are flying into the middle!  Girgy in seat 5 and seat 7 Carl Thomas  (i may have that wrong can't read my hastened scribble) are both all in the rest of the table have folded. Girgy shows  Aspades Kh and Carl (or the guy next to him if i'm wrong) shows Ac Ahrt the rest of the board is dealt 9 Jh. and girgy is left with around 1k.

the very next hand

Girgy is in the small blind, seat 9 Nigel Hill calls, seat 2 shoves all in for 2500ish, Nigel calls seat 2 shows  Kc  Qc Nigel turns over Ad 8d the board is no help for our anonymous seat 2 (he disappeared off the seating plan too early) and he is out. Nigel Hill is now on around 12k.

Table 21 now has Shaun King, George Bedi, Chris Bruce and Barry Neville on it. Pretty loud over there. Steven Brennan made it 450 UTG+1 only for George to 3-bet to 1100. Shaun King then 4-bet to 3100 and that was enough for everyone else to pass, with Barry Neville loudly telling everyone that "I folded a pair of Tens in the BB, I did!"

Joobs is on One Way duties - she'll be back soon.

Mickey Wernick has just eliminated Patrick Lawless with Aspades Ks vs Patrick's Qs Qc. Mickey binked the turn on a 7h 2h Tc Kh Jh board to send Lawless to the rail.

Was in the process of locating all the one way players when I came across this hand

I arrived at table 11 to quite a lot of noise (guess who's table that is)

the flop had been dealt 2c 9h 7c  seat 2 Nicholas Gavriel seat 3 Chinese Frankie and seat 4 Boshi are left in the hand, as far as I can gather Nick had bet Frankie called Boshi shoved for 11,200 seat 2 then also shoved for around 8.5k Frankie stood up hands on head apparently he couldn't understand how it had happened and admitted it would be a bad call, the dealer was thoroughly questioned about the turn and river card before Frankie finally folded Aspades Ahrt face up.

Nicholas showed 2s 2d, Boshi turned over 9s 9d, at this point Frankie very please with his fold threatens to kill the dealer if an Ace is dealt, so a very nervous looking dealer deals the turn and river of 3c 3d and Nicholas Gavriel is out.

Frankie is left with 16k and Boshi is now on 25k.

Meh. Not sure I like the idea of making it 15k. Structure is pretty much spot on as it is imo. I just find the early levels a tad slow atm. 15k is just gonna amplify that :/

Luke Fields out.

He 3-bet to 5400 with 1000 back after Yiannis Liperis raised to 750 and Debbie Lawson flat-called. Liperis passed and Lawson called. It naturally all went in on the 9s 8s Kc flop and Lawson's Qc Qs were ahead of Th 8c for Fields. No help on the 7c or Ks board for Luke and he heads to the rail.

Decided to pay a visit to table 22

poor old James Barber in seat 7 has 2.5k  to his left Waheed Ashraf is hiding behind a stack of about 28k. decided to stick there for a few hands hoping to watch a magnificent double up for James.

seat 3 Mathew Elder-gadesen is on the button Waheed raised to 900, seat 4 Kevin Lee calls everyone else folds.

Flop 3c 6c Kd

both check

Turn Qh

both check again

River 5s

Waheed chucks a handful of chips in the middle, Kevin folds

Waheed shows me his hand and asks me if a pair of 5's was any good..  how should I know there's a reason i'm updating instead of playing ;)

He was down to dust and shoved J5. Shaun King reshoved next to him with AK and flopped a King. Don't know what happened for George to lose 95% of his stack but he was out the door too quick for me to ask.

Dominic Kay is down to 10 bigs and in his own words: "I suck".

Nana just doubled up after raising to 1k UTG, Dave Whittaker then shoves all in next to him.

Everyone else folds and Nana naturally snaps all in with Ahrt Ad. Ac Ks for Whittaker had a sweat on the 3s 6c 7c 2c 9h board but Nana is now over 15k.

Girgy then showed me a piece of paper he'd been doodling 5 mins before. It said "Do a win NANA Ahrt Ad"

Had 20k then guy opened ep to 450 at 100/200/25-  two callers. Im in hijack with AKhh and make 2075. Original opener folds. Guy then makes it 6.2k. We get it in he has QQ. I lose.

Then got it in at 200/400 guy jams I call for most of my stack with 55 he has A3. Ace on turn

Nigel Hill is out. He ran A-6 into the A-A of Clark Brunton. No help on the 9-8-6-J-4 board for a shortstacked Nigel and he heads to the rail.

Joining him is Tom Perchard, who lost the proverbial race against Steve Lovatt's 2-2. A-Q was no good to Tom on the 9 high board.

Mickey Wernick - 52k
Ray Ryder - 72k
Peter Collins - 70k
Simon Deadman - 80k and has just seen Cowen move 2 to his left. Expect fireworks.
Kinboshi - 35k
Jason Herbert - 35k
Chinese Frankie - 35k
Shaun King - 35k
James Barber - 35k 3.5k 10,075 after KK beats Ax on a A-x-x-K-x board. First time all day he's been over starting stack.

Stuck with table 23 for a bit, railing cf and willing a double up for him.

thought it was going to happen when he shove reraised all in for 13k preflop, but they all folded.

He's now back down to 19k after the following hand.

Marios Arkadiou limped for 800 UTG and Nana isolated to 2200 from mid position. Arkadiou called and they saw a devil flop.

6h 6c 6d

Arkadiou bet 2500 and Nana called. The turn was the 8h and both checked, and this was repeated on the 2c river. A grinning Arkadiou laughed and said "I didn't need that third 2 on the river did I? I was always ahead!" Nana grimaced and mucked what I assume was Ace high.

James Barber just doubled through Shiv Kumar.

Barber raised to 2200 preflop and Kumar called in the BB. The flop came down 6d Th 7s and Kumar snap-shoved. James resignedly called but was massively ahead, Kumar showing Aspades 6s for bottom pair whilst Barber had Jc Jd. The sweat came on the turn when 3s appeared, but James faded the 14 outs on the 4c river to double to about 20k.

Susan Cook shoved for 16,600 UTG and Rob Garfield called, only to find Clark Brunton pushing all in covering Rob. Rob called and we went three-ways to the pot.

Rob: Tc Ts
Susan: Qh Qs
Clark: Kc Ks

The board ran out Kh 4c 2d 5s Qc to send Rob and Susan to the rail and give Clark a healthy chip stack.

Chris Brion is headed for the exit door after he found himself all in with J-J but ran into Liam Reddin's T-T on a 7-2-3-T-Q board.

David Smart was smart enough to shove with A-7 and to get Shiv Kumar to call with K-Q. At least he was until the T-2-Q flop. However, the turn and river came J-K to give Smart the nuts and the pot.

Darren Pound is also out after he got it all in on a T-3-9 flop holding 6-6, but Clark Brunton had J-J which held on the Q-5 turn and river.

Someone is getting busy with their chips on table 23

1st hand i meet on the flop

board is 5d 4s 7d the pot is in or around 18k  only 2 players left in the hand

Seat 1 Thomas High checks, seat 3 Roberto Romanello bets a tower of chips I estimate to be around 45k

Thomas Tanks for a good while he has around 23k left so this would be goodnight if he makes the wrong call.  Then folds.

The very next hand...

Roberto is in the small blind seat 5 Tom Kugelstadt raises to 3500 folded round to Roberto who reraises to 11900. Tom calls and we see a flop

Ac Js 7d

both check

Turn Jd

Roberto bets 12k
Tom eventually folds

I estimate roberto to now be on at least 85k

it's getting late and counting chips is getting harder lol

We are DONE for the day. 44 players remain, after Steve Freeman was eliminated on the very last hand of the night, including some very notable blondes. And Kinboshi.

The players are just bagging and tagging their chips and we will be waiting for the official chip count to be posted before we head off for the evening.

Right, we are done for the day. Thank you to everyone who joined us here, and we hope you'll all join us again later as we play down to the conclusion of the tourney.

Tourney restarts at 2.30pm, and there is a side event which is a £100 6-max comp guaranteed at £15,000. That starts at 2pm.

Sleep is needed. See you all later!
