Title: Internet Poker hand
Post by: Timaloy on December 31, 2005, 04:56:38 AM
Early in a $50 SnG on Prima after an early double up I have 2k and AK(d) UTG 20/40 blinds, a little info on wldhrt - playing loose and getting a little lucky.

Dealing Hole Cards
> Timaloy raised for 120
> ravlo1 folded
> NextCase folded
> mongoo7 folded
> troy2ding folded
> JKoblyn folded
> wldhrt called for 100           (Small blind)
> Wynn1 folded

Pot is $280

> Dealing the Flop(8d 3c Kh)
> wldhrt bet for 40
> Timaloy raised for 240
> wldhrt called for 200

Pot is $760

> Dealing the turn(Qc)
> wldhrt bet for 40
> Timaloy raised for 600
> wldhrt called for 560

Pot is $1,960

> Dealing the river(Ac)
> wldhrt went all-in for 520
> Timaloy, you have 10 seconds to respond
> Timaloy, you have 5 seconds to respond
> Timaloy called for 520
> wldhrt shows a Flush, Clubs
(Ac Qc 8c 3c 2c)

I had 2 pr AAKK and Q kicker

He had 82 of Clubs and won with a flush.

Trying to think of a better way to play this against a loose player, I want them in the pot with trash and bottom pair but when is the right time to go allin agains these players, didnt want to go allin on the flop or turn because there was so much value to be extracted from him and i didnt want to push him off and didnt want to let him in to cheap the chase his possible draws, also didnt put him on a pr because 2 times pervious to that a raise from mid pos was reraised allin by him and then he would show mid pp. So trip 8s where a very small possibility.

Any idears?

I'm no pro, But this is the guy you want to be playing all the time, It sucks that it paid off for him..I would be looking around the site for him, it's money well invested if you continue to play him....

By the look of the hand, the only place you was going to shake this muppet off was on the flop, but as you said, you were looking for value, as well you should here....

Bundle.

I like how you play it, so many people are scared about protecting thier chis etc, you got him to comit most of his chips with sweet fa. If he doesnt outdraw you on the river, you are probably still being paid.
