Should be a good one Please join me for coverage then Title: Re: GUKPT London Day 1b Post by: TightEnd on March 18, 2011, 11:13:03 AM It was a wet journey across London. I pulled down the ramp entering the Vic's underground car park following a monstrous black Pick up. Big wheels, blacked out windows, all shiny. 60 plate, Brighton dealer.
"Who is this?" I wondered to myself He parked up at the valet bay, and jumped out. Mr Tony Cascarino. Door left open, I peeked inside. Looked like a NASA Space station with more gadgets than the Gadget show Three valets fought to climb in to go and park his car. Funnily enough the same could not be said of the queue to park my A6 Cascarino bounded up the stairs, into the card-room and was 91st to buy in for today's 1b at Midday (http://images.autoexposure.co.uk/SHD2677305/AETV62143769_1b.jpg) Title: Re: GUKPT London Day 1b Post by: TightEnd on March 18, 2011, 11:23:28 AM Team Sky Poker will be represented today by Redmond Lee, Wayne Rideout, Dan Brown, James Williams (cottonbud), Aiden Sanderson, and a TSP "Guest" appearance by Jon Young, the editor of the WPT Magazine. Kishan Mithani From North London, and close confidant of the Khajuria brothers He and I have history. Mainly because at Luton he eats packets of nuts as he plays, cracking them in his mouth sounding as if he is firing a small pistol. Added to that he takes losing a pot well. An unorthodox player, and frankly I was surprised to see him in such August company though he did have a big win in a GUKPT side at the back end of last year that has moved him up the poker ladder. Cottonbud Williams went before the last break Title: Re: GUKPT London Day 1b Post by: TightEnd on March 18, 2011, 08:59:43 PM good work rich....another round with tighty on table sponks/sida/sunny pls Would love to Jeff but it simply takes to long to complete a round, I'd have a blank update for about half an hour by the time I'd written it up If it helps I think its the feature table on AWOP's live stream I am around that table most when not at the laptop, as it is certainly the one with the interesting dynamics Title: Re: GUKPT London Day 1b Post by: smashedagain on March 18, 2011, 09:02:05 PM good work rich....another round with tighty on table sponks/sida/sunny pls Would love to Jeff but it simply takes to long to complete a round, I'd have a blank update for about half an hour by the time I'd written it up If it helps I think its the feature table on AWOP's live stream I am around that table most when not at the laptop, as it is certainly the one with the interesting dynamics Title: Re: GUKPT London Day 1b Post by: TightEnd on March 18, 2011, 09:09:22 PM Good fun around these tables
Toby Lewis stands up and I say to him "Alright Toby?" "Yes still in shock" "What thay you are still in?" I ask without thinking "No" thankfully he misses my humour "That ten Nine hand" "Yes" I say "fun hand" "Must mean I am terrible" he says Jim Reid pipes up "No, it means I am" ------------------------------------------------------------------- Sam Grafton raises to 1,600 on the button and the rather expressionless Darren Annis pops it to 4,000 in the small blind Grafton 4 bet shoves for a lot He says to Spinks, as Annis is contemplating "No one on this table knows my record in $24 comps" Spinks looks at him Grafton smiles an enormous smile "Yeah I final the $24 4pm HORSE on Full Tilt for fun. He'd pass if he knew that" Annis passes and Grafton shows the corner of a 2h to his mate Craig MacCorkell railing Title: Re: GUKPT London Day 1b Post by: TightEnd on March 18, 2011, 09:10:48 PM good work rich....another round with tighty on table sponks/sida/sunny pls Would love to Jeff but it simply takes to long to complete a round, I'd have a blank update for about half an hour by the time I'd written it up If it helps I think its the feature table on AWOP's live stream I am around that table most when not at the laptop, as it is certainly the one with the interesting dynamics Well if I wasn't already, that's me stuffed then Title: Re: GUKPT London Day 1b Post by: TightEnd on March 18, 2011, 09:21:09 PM OK no hands caught on that last sortie into enemy territory so its break time

before the break this was how Yeun got there Spinks Spanked Jonathon Spinks calls off half his stack, 15.5k to Sida Yuen with the board looking summat like 9d2d9c9hAc. Sida has his same ol' same ol' Q9. Spinks left with 15k. . that's from the GUKPT Blog Title: Re: GUKPT London Day 1b Post by: TightEnd on March 18, 2011, 09:52:00 PM Praz Banzi has moved right up there. Stack approaching 100,000 now. Lots of progress since he moved down to the Louise Duffy, Jon Young, Rob Sherwood table. Didn't see the hand but Banzi did for Sherwood
Title: Re: GUKPT London Day 1b Post by: TightEnd on March 18, 2011, 09:53:17 PM Praz Banzi has moved right up there. Stack approaching 100,000 now. Lots of progress since he moved down to the Louise Duffy, Jon Young, Rob Sherwood table. Didn't see the hand but Banzi did for Sherwood and this is how. Sherwood took Aces against Banzi's Pocket Fives. Five on the flop Title: Re: GUKPT London Day 1b Post by: TightEnd on March 18, 2011, 09:54:28 PM and the final catch up
Spinks 15k at the break Here is his treble up 3 way all in.... Jon Spinks.....A-Q Kamal Choria..A-9 of spades Manig Loeser..A-K The flop comes 8 high with 2 spades, giving Kamal the nut flush draw. The turn comes a Queen putting Jon infront. The river was a blank. Jon Spinks trebles to 50,000. Kamal heads out!! then the hand with Kings to go to 100,000 right, back out there... Title: Re: GUKPT London Day 1b Post by: tikay on March 18, 2011, 09:54:34 PM Praz Banzi has moved right up there. Stack approaching 100,000 now. Lots of progress since he moved down to the Louise Duffy, Jon Young, Rob Sherwood table. Didn't see the hand but Banzi did for Sherwood I gather Rob Sherwood had the Aces, & Praz had the Fives. Which were good. An assortment of bloggers, pens, paper and microphones in hand descended on the table in the latter stages of the hand as the pot got big Anyone would think Toby had won something somewhere once I arrvied slightly out of breath in time to peer across and see his opponent Gary Lindsay shows Jacks to win the pot on a 2-5-10-K-3 board. Toby mucks Lindsay was small blind, Toby in early position so lets piece together that Toby raises, Lindsay 3 bet and it went from there Left with less than a big blind Toby got it in with Q-1O against Q-2 and the door card was a 2 Title: Re: GUKPT London Day 1b Post by: TightEnd on March 18, 2011, 10:24:56 PM Louise Duffy with KK
