Your original sentiment, that it would be great if he was unbanned, was quickly echoed by over a dozen posters.

His unbanning from the blonde poker forum should be a matter for the moderators of the blonde poker forum.
Were it not for Kev asking people on his blog not to cause too much trouble regarding this issue, I'm sure the members of blonde (including myself) would be putting the mods under greater and more consistant pressure to demand this unbanning.

this thread is doing my nut in.  wasn't gonna post as seemed pretty pointless tbh and thought it would just die, but it seems to have turned into a 'kev is a hero, bolt is a scumbag' type thing.

I'm mates with both guys.  Both are human, and both have made mistakes (some of which they've paid for with a blonde ban, others which are totally unrelated) but both also have a good side too. 

If either of them wanted consideration to be given to their ban being lifted, then they know who to contact.  I just don't see how threads like this are helpful to anyone.

Of course the mods aren't going to comment on here - why would they?  There's no decision to be made, because, as far as I'm aware from the last time I spoke to Kev a couple of days ago, he hasn't contacted the mods to ask for his ban to be lifted, and has (had) no intention of doing so. 

Don't know anyone off forum here so have no idea why he got banned, was just an incred funny poster.

According to the convo I had with Vinni on Saturday yes. It might only seem like petty crime to some but Laxie paid money to go towards Reece's fundraising and Kev has never sent it on. The camera belongs to Blonde and cost over £1k. If people are so keen to see him return will they get him to return these too? Ktnx.

Nope, he's sending the book this week as it goes. No-one has sent him any money for posting it (no-ones fault) and Kev has been skint and over the last year. They've probably been largely forgotten about as, incase you've failed to notice Ding, Kev has had a lot on his plate and sending them probably haven't been top of his list. I guess medical attention, finding a place to live and overcoming bad depression have been top of his list and he can be excused from forgetting past a reminder or two. I agree it's a bit slack, but hardly crime of the century. If he was keeping them in his possession as a way of getting back at blonde etc, I'm pretty sure he'd have told me and he hasn't.

I have to say that I am not too comfortable about this whole situation. I will gladly withdraw Laxies donation and return it to her seeming as she still has not received the book and apologize for all the trouble / arguments it seems to have caused in raising monies for Reece.

Understandable month and shouldn't have taken this long for sure. I know the colchester mug went to the post office this morning for a quote and will send the book on so it shouldn't be long now and no need to send any funds back.

I know Laxie didn't actually bid for the book but to instigate bids.

 How do you all think we feel seeing threads about how things go wrong when ever there are events to raise money for Reece.

A few years back I was a very proud woman, would not have even passed my mind to accept " Charity " so to speak, but circumstances changed, we had a few downfalls and decided the only person to suffer by not accepting help would be Reece.

What with the P4C then this, it makes me ashamed having ever mentioned Reece's condition in the first place. If only we were loaded and could of said No but Thanks for the offers.

The Reece thread and raising money for the little fella is one of the greatest things about this forum and the community.

Like Taximan's thread, its very personal and really special so you shouldn't ever feel too proud to accept money for Reece. I can completely understand how you feel though.

This isn't like the P4C stuff though Mo. Obv Kev has been through a lot and there's been other things going on which in fairness probably have led to this delay, though I do agree it should have been sent long ago.

Maureen - you should only feel immense pride with how you and your family have coped with all the issues you have had to go through for Reece. I love reading your updates on how the planning of your holiday is going and can't wait to see the pictures of his smiling little face when he gets to Disney. Don't let this issue sully the joy we have all had in sharing your 'journey' so far.

I personally don't like the word charity as it smacks of handouts which anything donated towards Reece is definitely not in my opinion. We are a community and help each other out, whether it's advice (either the hand alaysis thread or life advice) listening ear or raising funds for the disney trip. It's not charity as such, it's a community and I for one, am proud for the most part to be in this community.

Geez louise.  I was really hoping Mo wouldn't stumble onto this thread because I know how she feels in situations like this.  PLEASE don't worry about it Maureen!!!  It's as much my fault as Kev's because I've not exactly tripped over meself to follow it up with him or any of our mutual friends.  We've both been going through our own life things so I take as much responsibility for not following it up.

1)  I refused to ask for or accept the book until I paid what I owed.  Fair's fair. 
2)  I didn't get to meet Maureen until January of this year to pay what I owed.  In turn, Kev didn't even have to worry about it until then as I wouldn't accept or ask for it anyway. 
3)  I've only had a couple of quiet conversations regarding this with mutual friends since - in hopes that Kev could deliver when visiting those friends as opposed to worrying about postage costs. 
4)  Not in a month of Sundays would I accept that money back, regardless of the book.  The money was and is for Reece.  End of. 

Reece is now and always will be one of the few just about everyone on blonde agrees on.  He's a mighty wee man who's put up with a hell of a lot in his short life and deserves every penny we as a community can manage to gather for him. 

You've absolutely nothing to worry or feel stressed about and I'm sorry if you felt that way regarding this.  Don't you worry Chicka...we'll work it out.  You just worry about keeping a smile on that darling child's face.  And post lots of pics because we all love to see them!!!  xx

So lets give Kev the benefit of the doubt, Cos has said he will be returning the stuff this week. Lets see. I hope he does and I will be first on the list to say "Bit late but I apologise for thinking he was going to keep them, good to have it all back."

As Cos has already said he doubts that Kev gives a shit what I think - and I don't care what Kev thinks about me, never have, so my apology is probably pretty worthless but I would still be happy to give it.

The fact that Cos has stepped back from liaising and instigating the return of the camera though makes me think he knows it isn't coming back - it's human nature to wash your hands of something and say "it's up to you guys now" when you know you are beat. And if he felt he could be involved in something that put egg on my face I think he would be right up there doing it. 

If he had complete confidence that it was coming back he would be right up there imo, arranging it's return like the long lost prodigal son, another thing sorted by the internet policeman.  ;D

So how long do we wait before I say I told you so? What is a reasonable amount of time for the book and camera to come back. If Kev feels well enough to return the book what is stopping him return the camera too? He's had many offers for postage costs so it can't be the cost of that right?

In order for the discussion to progress from this point we need to know exactly how much kev hocked the camera for.

Canono 400D was never £1k, if blonde paid a grand for it, they were ripped off.  I bought one when they first came out, wasn't anything like £1k.

I have the 40D which is the higher end version of the 400D, and mine wasn't even a grand when it came out. The 400D was probably more like £350-500 new when it came out.

As I said earlier in this thread, blonde paid £550, I believe, in 2006 or so. blonde never mentioned the figure of £1000.

To set the record straight Kev was self employed. No contract (blonde has never had contracts with those who have done work for it) and no severance pay due. In an ideal world Kev would never have had to leave, but we simply could not afford to keep him on.

With regard to outstanding expenses Kev is not owed any monies by blonde. There were a series of problems especially after the closure of the card-room by IPoker with payments which meant that the timeliness of those was an issue for a while. All this is well known and recorded on threads at the time as to what caused the problems and Kev was informed throughout. I know how difficult this was.

When the funds were available though, Kev was paid first.

I am not after a witchhunt on Kev. I merely did not know because I had not been told why the camera was not coming back to me.

If it has been sold, I'm disappointed because it was not Kev's to sell. Not a lot I can do about it though. I do also understand some of the extreme pressures Kev was under.

I think that should be about it on the subject of the camera, and the book is coming back.

Yah, that's exactly what I was saying. If I was homeless and skint I would consider wandering around the streets with nothing but a 1k camera under my arm a relatively idiotic strategy. Admittedly I would be a little disappointed to arrive at cash convertors and get offered a paltry £50 for my £1k camera, but meh I'd still snap take the nifty. Yes, there are loads of factors on a lot of fronts.  But at the end of the day, none of it matters if he doesn't ask to come back himself.

I've already had a quiet chat with Cos regarding this, but for the record...IMO you lot who are trying to 'help' him are really only hurting the situation and any chance he has by carrying on.  It's not up to you.  It's up to Kev.

That was the sum total of the quiet chat.  I wrongly assumed that ye'd spot the problem without direction.  Maybe some already knew there were issues, but I'm going to give benefit of the doubt.  Hence sticking me neck out.  Say what ya like after, but that's all there is to it.

  the camera
kev told me about this around xmas time, he was extremely low at the time and said he had taken it to cash convertors and recieved £100 for it.
my take on it was that if it was any use to blonde still they would have contacted him and arranged for the cameras return. i have been in kevs company over the last year on 2 or more occasions when either tighty or tikay have been present and the issue of a camera has never been mentioned.

after the way kev was treated by blonde as a company over the brendan scandal (lets not start this over again i think its been covered enough lol)and the subsequent demodding and ultimately his posting rights removed i understood why he done what he done regards the camera.
i didnt support it and told him so but i couldnt deny that in his position i wouldnt have done the same.

the doyle book

the first i heard of the book not being sent to laxie was when it broke on here.
absolute stupidity on kevs behalf not to send it and i told him so, he has 3 copies of it so why the fuck he withheld sending it i dont know.
i dont buy his cost of postage excuse because as stated by others the postage costs were offered to be sent to him and if he had mentioned it to me i would have sorted him also.
why he felt the need not to have sent by now i still dont know, especially as the recipitent is laxie and being aware of the current sensitive situation regarding her it was extremely stupid to withhold it if that was his reasoning.(just to clarify i dont know if this was kevs reasoning)

the book has now been sent so issued resolved (maybe not satisfactory enough for some but resolved none the less)

the suit

again i knew nothing about kev actually accepting the offer of a suit from mpower until last week.
why he accepted again i dont know, if he wanted a suit for interviews then the social have a fund to supply these so mpowers offer shouldnt have been taken up imo.
kev states to me he bought a blazer,trousers shirt and tie with the £100 he was sent and has promised to send a photo to mpower as agreed of the said items. kev did contact him after recieving the cheque thanking him for his kind genorousity.

the book and shirt situations are ones that could of been avoided, absolutely no excuses, kev is an idiot to let them happen but both issues are now well on the way to being resolved so hopefully thats the end of them.

the camera is a different issue. kev stated that the last 4 meetings he went to regards blonde he never claimed a penny in expenses (do blonde pay petrol etc expenses for these?) and feels that the camera compensated that.

again whether thats right to do i dont know, but im sure everyone will judge for themselves and unless in the situation they cant really comment how they would have acted.

I only began asking for the camera when it was clear we were going to be doing two updates on the same weekend. Before then, it was not an urgent issue. I knew Kev had it but getting it back wasn't an issue..only would have been so if the camera I use had broke or lost etc etc

As to expenses, if receipts had been sent then expenses would have been paid. No claim Kev made in his monthly invoices was ever refused. Kev knows this. It was good of Kev not to claim expenses at the time for those meetings as he knew money was very low. However it's simply wrong to try and right what he perceives as a wrong, reinventing history while doing so, by selling something that is not his to sell.

We don't need to discuss all the other history, we all know its been discussed over and over.

Anyway I consider the matter of the camera over. Nothing can be done now .

All this talk about sending the camera has left a sour taste in my mouth, not because I have an opinion on the debate but because 'TightEnd' a well respected member of the blonde team has failed to send me an umbrella that was clearly gifted to me.
