Andy and I haven't always seen eye to eye, to be frank. However he expressed to me just now his genuine pleasure that blonde were updating at DTD again.

I thanked him, but told him to watch the speech play because it was a bugger to report accurately, especially when he loses his temper

A three way all in pre-flop in level three?

OK then

Ray Ryder raises in EP -450

John Stritch flats in the cut off

Andy Bradshaw makes it 1,500 on the button

Ryder shoves for 13,000

Stritch calls for 13,000 and change

Bradshaw can't believe his luck and calls with  Aspades Ahrt

Ryder  Qd Qc

Stritch  Kc Kh

Aces hold, Bradshaw knocks out both and is chip leader with nearly 45,000

Hi All

There are a couple of big events on today and this has resulted in a £7800 overlay in our £300 Deepstack, you have until 8.15pm to late register for the event and as the starting stack has been increased to 15,000 chips this month you would be starting with 14,250 in the 5th level which is 100 200 25 ante.

Good Luck if you can make it.

Fun and games on table Chinese Frankie

Hand 1 Frankie raises to 300 in the cut off at 75-150

Tim Blake flats in the small blind with  Kc Kh

flop  3c 6c Jh

Tim check calls 500

turn  Jd

check check

river  Qc

Tim leads on the scare card, and Frankie chunters. Not sure what language he cunters in..sort of Mandarinlglish.

Eventually Frankie calls and shows  Ks Kd

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hand 2

Frankie in mid position and Daniel Hand in the big blind have reached the river with the board showing

 Qd Qc 7d 4c Js

Hand checks and thinks he hears Frankie check

He tables  Aspades Jc

Frankie calls for a ruling, as he has not acted. All options are open to him, and Hand is held to no aggressive action to that bet

Now its sort of mandatory to fire here isn't it? What do we think?

Frankie has 12,000 Hand 9,000. Pot size 4,000 odd.

Instead Frankie chunters again, tells the table he was ahead all the way and mucks, unshown

Open-handed Hand is handed an an orbit's penalty for revealing his hand

Up to 38k... Got 3-bet with 99, flop comes 922ss, check, bets 1600, quickly make it 3300, he quickly shoves and I snap. He has JKss drawing virtually dead.

Chinese Frankie is out

I asked the table what happened and received a series of raised eyebrows, grimaces and tut-tuts

Apparently he made a bad call on tilt from a series of events earlier

Thanks.

Good win for the Tigers in a bad tempered game with two sendings-off. I think I might celebrate with some vegetable stew.

First hand back after the break

Ian Hughes pushes his last 7,000 in from the big blind, a pot sized bet, first to act on  6s 4s Kd Th

Alan Linford who is the UTG raiser thinks and thinks

A third player calls the clock on him.

Riled, visibly, Linford calls all in with a few seconds of his last minute to go

with  Aspades Js

he has 13 outs, roughly a 4-1 shot on a pot laying him 2-1 against  6c 6d

river  Qh, Hughes departs with a verbal volley of some magnificence

Linford begins justifying the call to the table....

gl with that

Was actually 12200 to call

The Simon Deadman exit created a new chip leader

Three players saw a  7s Jh Th flop

Deadman checks, Robert Smith checks and Dean Pearson leads for 1,200

Deadman check raises to 3,600 with  Ahrt Ts

Both call

Deadman has decided, he says, that he is up against a top pair type hand and a big draw type hand and will push a blank turn

the turn is the  6c

He shoves 12,000

Smith calls

Pearson calls!

Now a 53,000 pot

Deadman has now "turned my marginal hand into a big bluff"

Smith has  Jd Tc for flopped top two

Pearson  8h 9h for flopped nuts with redraw to the straight flush

Pearson scoops the lot, Smith is short-stacked and the aggressive Deadman is tucking into a sandwich in the bar trying to avoid an over-zealous blogger wanting to learn how to bluff.

Girgy85 is out

He says he is embarrassed by it, but as I told him, "we've all played hands like knobheads, so tell me"

Girgy takes up the story

"There is a raise to 600 and this is called in three spots.

I am in the small blind with  9s 7s and call

Flop is  Jd 4s 2s

I check. Big blind leads for 1,000

Original raiser all in for 3,300

I flat from a 12,000 stack. I should have shoved. Idiot.

The big blind re-shoves.

I call. Don't know why

Big blind has  Qc Jh for top pair average kicker

Original raiser has  Ad Ac

Aces hold for the small main pot and the big blind takes the rest of mine when no spade comes"

There there Girgy, that wasn't too difficult, was it?

Linford called off with A-9 and got there to knock Atkin out

Paul Ho is out

In the small blind with Kings

One early limper, Ali Mallu makes it 1725. Ho 3 bets to 4,200 from 13,000

Mallu calls

flop A-6-6

Ho checks to induce a bluff, Mallu 5,500

Ho puts him on a medium pair, and check jams

Mallu calls with 6-4

Mallu'd
.

meh in hindsite its was a pretty horric call im only beating flush draws and mid pairs

but i have seen him bet out when checked to many times

and seen him jam a donk bet with a flush draw

meh i dunno

feel and played like shit

I wouldn't say it has slowed it down really, we're half the field down in the 8th level

Though I expect the pinch point of stacks to blinds for those below average will come later in the night than it used to

I can't comment on what it is like to play, presumably smoother with more scope for creativity

Five way limped pot at 600-1200

Mallu limps utg, Dean pearson and Tim Blake in the cut off and on the button, and both blinds

flop

 9d 3c 5s

all check to Pearson who bets 5,400 into 6,000

folded to Mallu who check raises to 35,000, most of Pearson's remaining stack

Pearson shoves with  Jc 9c

Mallu auto calls for the small excess and reveals  Kd 3d

The whole table waits for the inevitable Mallu-ing

turn  2d

uh oh

river  7h

Dean BulldozerD Pearson moves over 80,000

Mark Wagstaff raises

Andy Bradshaw 3 bets

Wagstaff 4 bets

Bradshaw 5 bets

Wagstaff folds

Bradshaw cackles

"You wuss"

Wagstaff

"I raised to find out where I was"

Bradshaw

"I showed you"

Wagstaff

"I am the better player"

Bradshaw

"That's as maybe, but you are a wuss"

Next hand, the table's worst nightmare happens

Bradshaw raises to 3,500 at 800-1600

James Browning shoves for 30,000 or so in the cut off

There follows a bout of mutual speechplay over 6 minutes or so

A Wonder of the Universe it is not

Bradshaw says that Browning's speeches sound like someone being "strangled by a rabbit"

He then says that James would not leave him alon with fiancee Lynn beaumont who is sharing a table with them, as Andy would take her away from James

James replies that Andy should hurry up and call

Andy says he has a pocket pair

James says he has "big suited connectors"

Andy eventually folds  5h 5s

How's Ben Vinson getting on?

55,000

A certainty, imo, to bink a reasonable tournament soon. Too good not to.

This. He's been absolutely crushing the cash games at DTD last few weeks. So so good. And fkn BOC.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hand 2

Frankie in mid position and Daniel Hand in the big blind have reached the river with the board showing

 Qd Qc 7d 4c Js

Hand checks and thinks he hears Frankie check

He tables  Aspades Jc

Frankie calls for a ruling, as he has not acted. All options are open to him, and Hand is held to no aggressive action to that betNow its sort of mandatory to fire here isn't it? What do we think?

Frankie has 12,000 Hand 9,000. Pot size 4,000 odd.

Instead Frankie chunters again, tells the table he was ahead all the way and mucks, unshown

Open-handed Hand is handed an an orbit's penalty for revealing his hand

if that was the ruling given then DTD really need to set clarity on this

Excellent work Richard must be a really tiring weekend for you.

On the frankie ruling it was 100% standard and correct. Bloke thought Frankie had checked behind and showed down. Frankie had all options available to him

Fun and games on table Chinese Frankie

Tim leads on the scare card, and Frankie chunters. Not sure what language he cunters in..sort of Mandarinlglish.

I'm surprised you got this typo through!

I'd like to thank arbboy for not just educating me but the whole of the table in all things poker strategy, 5th level thinking, betting patterns in the Biga Yarımadası, business models of HGV haulage firms and the merits of fine lagers at £3.80 a pint and I wish him all the best of luck today.

got nothing to do with what frankies options are, its whether the other guy has the ability to just call or still act - and they ruled very differently last time this happened to me!

and i dont care what anyone says - this is still open to angle shooting. Its very easy for outsiders to say "he has to bet" "you can play perfectly", very different when you are in the hand and have 2-3 hours of history! It can easily be worth a 1 round penatly to roll ur hand in that spot

He got a one round penalty and he could only check call.

If you think about he is hardly going to check raise if frankie bets with his hand face up is he
