Title: Monte Carlo Interest/Staking Thread
Post by: outragous76 on April 09, 2011, 01:17:40 PM
Hi folks

I think most people know me, but if not, im Guy Johnson.

I have decided to put up an interest thread for the Monte Carlo. I will only play if I sell at 50%. I have played several £1k+ events in the past an have no problem with playing this size buy in, but most of my poker winnings are going into my "life roll" so far this year as I have just set up my own business. That said I have had a few cheeky binks so I have decided to treat myself.

So, I am looking to sell 50% at face value.

Here is the Hendon Mob:  http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=109017

I feel I am playing very well at the moment and I have certainly been running well on line this year with a few cheeky binks since January. The reason this is an interest thread at this moment is I just need to sort my diary on Monday, but i really dont envisage a problem. Money will need to be bank transfers or cash on day as I still dont have my stars account back and I draw to a credit card to Tilt. I will also be playing Thursday if that makes a difference to you buying.

20% is already sold and I am going to hold back 10% for now for someone who has occasionally bought a piece.

So 20% available (maybe 10 more)

10% = £109

5% - £54.50

Flame away! (Unlikely to check this thread until tomorrow)

Sorry Girgy - already sold more than intended

Having seen the debacle on 2+2 with TMay420 i just wanted to do some house keeping on this thread.

im on my way through the thread but basically:

-Tmay puts up thread to sell shares for a 10k
-Tmay sells 4%
-Tmay wins a donkament elsewhere for 300k
-Tmay doesn't go online in the meantime but an amiguous message on his threads leads to two further investors sending him money for 10% and 3% on FTP. They believe action to be booked.
-Tmay has world after day 1 and says the 13% isn't booked.
- It kicks off on 2+2.
- Tmay posts a ridiculously douschish post given the circumstances
(a lot of respected people vouch for Tmay's honesty)
- Tmay makes final table
[  ] Resolution about the 13% has been made.

That's where I'm at atm.

The biggest prob with Tmay op, was he said

"send the money on FTP and you are booked". He didn't give himself a shot to book or unbook (allegedly a forum noob)

I'm assuming it's the one where you open shoved the flop for 25 bigs with 24s

How can that be bad when there are 18 bbs in the middle. I'm 60% if he has flatted AA Kk but more than happy to scoop the lot there and then

If there's 18bbs in the middle then it's fine :) Sorry I only did a quick scan of the thread to see what pleno might be talking about

No, no, it just went 2400, call, call, checked to you and you bet 7500 on q52r, just wondering if you change your bet sizing on hand strength in live tournies or not

Ya I wondered about that hand

haha - well tbh there is alot of "things going on" in this hand, but notwithstanding that, i think my c bet size is about my standard (maybe a touch higher than normal be we are 4 way)

We are 400/800 75

4 x 2400

400 + 675

= 10,675 pre

(i dont count pots exactly when going along so i had estimated 11k)

I usuallly c bet about 60%-66%(ie i guage 2/3 pot and click it back one or two) - so assuming i think its 11k  - im maybe a little high here but we are 4 way. I believe I led for 7300 not 7500.

There are other things I do with bet sizing (chip use).

This hand was very villain specific in all 3 spots and there was a 10% chance that bet didnt get through. Mo Muse would have been my only caller in that hand (unless OR or BB flopped a set) and I was happy that I could play my hand down the streets vs Mo. Finally, hand is otherwise reported correctly - not a rainbow board.

I genuinely wasn't trolling btw. I thought pre updates you were decent/good, then thought after this hand that it was abit weird. Tighty said 3 players not 4 so obv diff.

Lol - sigh, pre updates you thought I was good! Such rubs!  ;)

Tighty doesnt report 3 although I did have to read is 3/4 times to see why. Re-read how he references the BB making it up. So it initially read like its 3 way, but its not, def 4.

Didnt think you were trolling, just wondered which hand you were thinking of as several were updated
