It’s just a fun, unique kind of event to be around. I am getting more and more fascinated with live, real time media and anyone who has followed me on twitter will know I am becoming a social media whore, so the Big Game suits me.

I can’t even begin to tell you some of the stuff PokerNews have planned, it’s so big. The live stream with hole cards, live chat with viewers and players, twitter feeds, freerolls, contests, videos, sound bites etc etc. The really big deal, however, will be the fact that viewers will be vote the players off from the show live. It’s a first for poker, it’s obviously a first for PokerNews, and I imagine it will be an interesting first for me.

I really do not know how it will end up looking; we are trying so many new things that I am sure some will stick and others will fall on their arse, one thing is for sure it won’t be boring.

Evicting players via a live stream in a cash game, is this poker? Well, it certainly isn’t the purest form of poker around, but it is perhaps about the most interesting for a wide audience. You have to admire Matchroom, they never allow complacency to kick in, whether its poker, darts, or snooker. Some things may look bad this weekend, but I reckon there will be some real gems this weekend that might just set a new bar for poker live reporting & televised poker.

As you might have suspected since about 8pm updating has become more and more difficult. The cash game is taking a lot of room, and being watched by many railbirds. I personally seemed to underestimate the power of poker celebrity!

With three comps sandwiched into the top two levels it's tricky to get round, even for someone as light on my feet as I am.

I hope the crowds thin out shortly and I can bring you some proper hands again

Can correct the details of this story as it's wayyy off....

Game is 5/10 but playing much bigger, Bambos calls last half hour and on his last hand he is on the button and says if it's straddled to 50/100/200 he'll put the £400 on, so we straddle it round to him, he then looks at his cards and says he doesn't want to straddle, making it £800 instead. Andy Mosely in the BB makes it £2.4k and bambos ships for ~£4k total, Andy calls with ATo and flops an Ace for like a £9.5k pot

Such justice for him being such a grimbox angle-shooter with the straddle that he busts last hand. also I dont believe for one second he had QQ, I think he most likely had a smaller pair, 66-99 region.

Oh David. Your just so bitter. If James Mitchell had championed your cause and managed to beat bambos for the heads up title last year then you would not have posted that. I can see a good turnout of guys who have appeared in the original late night poker are at Dtd this weekend. Makes me wonder how the he'll they are still around today what with variance. The reason i'm happy he lost is cos he was trying to deliberately angle shoot in a pretty big game with experienced players, persuading me to straddle (on the promise of him straddling behind) looks at his cards and has a nice £900 dead in the pot for his last hand. pretty disgusting behavior imo (espcially from someone so experienced)

Nothing to do with old/young or good/bad at poker, just a question of class, and Bambos showed absolutley zero in this instance, and thankfully the poker gods swooped in and confiscated 4thousand of his pounds as punishment. ty poker
