As you may have seen, for July we'd like to update the July DTD Deepstack and the 4 day DTD Monte Carlo, and would need donations to do 1 or both. Clearly its a heavy month, cost wise, but both would be superb to update.

If you are interested in helping please let me know or speak to me at DTD this weekend thanks

Flopped two pair, against Mr Linton's flopped flush draw and futshot

Linton hit his gutshot on the turn, disguised nicely it seems as Hurst committed the rest of his stack drawing to a house and missed

Hh from my table. Seat 3 limps utg, I overlimp q8 green. 2 calls, blinds complete. As Qs 9c Ben from sky leads out for 250 into 600odd. Utg limper calls. Neither can have a strong hand here so I squeeze to 1100 with middle pair and bdfd. Both peel. Yikes. 4h on the turn, check check I check. 9d on the river, ben checks, utg limper jams for 4.9k and tank and call hoping ben folds an ace behind me. He does and my Q is good :)

Done it all since though obv.

Alex if you're going to beat live games, you have to learn to play live.

Flop is a call.

As played river is a tank fold saying "If he wasn't behind me I'd call. I know you're at it"

Happy to help

tikay is out after three levels

Ran King into Jacks firstly....

then Bellamy raises utg, tikay smooth calls with KK hoping Linton will take off. Instead Alan Stearn calls

A-J-7 board

check, check, Stearn leads..both fold. Bellamy had QQ so if tikay played it properly.....

Finally next hand tikay gets KK, and runs them into Aces pre.

Peter Wigglesworth

An early bath in the deepstack after running 2nd nut strt into the nut strt I then flopped a set of 3s on an AK3 board, button raiser had AA Grrrr, two diamonds on the flop turn 9 of hearts so a good card for me imo, hoping he has AQ or flushing so I shove.

A fixture at places like the Vic and Luton, and a doctor by profession. I am sure he is a lovely man, just you wouldn't know it from sitting at a table with him. Never shuts up, tilts even me

wheeee - he used to annoy me too, but last time I was on the same table as him he actually had me in stitches all night.   gogogogo ash imo.

I join a big pot on table 33

flop  Qh 5s 2s

big blind Demetrios Nikolaidis, limp caller Richard Griffiths checks and Richard Pearson bets 5,000, an over-bet of the pot

Nikolaidis c-raises all in and Griffiths calls all in

Back to Pearson. He ponders.

Eventually, in a Hovis Bread meets Geoffrey Boycott voice he says to Nikolaidis

"Will you show if I fold?"

It is pointed out to him that there are two all ins, so he will see anyway. No value in live poker anymore, it sems......

He folds

Nikolaidis flips  2h 2d

Griffiths  Aspades 8s

No spades on turn or river and Nikolaidis, who may or may not be of Greek extraction, wins a nice pot

then he and Linton got two stacks in on a Jack high two spade flop.  Kd  Kh versus  Js 8s

when Barry Neville told me he is a "lucky f**** b****** the ****" having won three pots on the trot against Neville

His luck ran out when I watched the table for a bit, flopping Q-J-9 when calling a raise with Q-J he called a shove from A-K Anon, and Anon rivered Broadway with a ten to double up

What's happening here?

Bas Mahmood has led on 8-4-6 and Ash Suhail has shoved, covering him

Ash then talks. A lot

Bas turns over an 8, looking for a read

Several minute spass, the floor is called, the clock is called, a penalty for revelaing his card is imminent, if he stays in the tournament

He eventually calls

and is winning against 9-7

He holds, doubles up, and gets a round's penalty. Fair swap I suppose

A round with some DTD fish.

22     1     Neil Giblin 27,000
22    2    Danny Ball 16,000
22    3    Matt Russell 14,000
22    5    James Moult 23,000
22    6    John Perrin 21,000

Perrins 800, all pass

Hand 3 button seat 8

Perrins 800, all pass

Hand 4 button seat 9

Moult raises to 700

Ross Leatherman Kemp has trebled up to 45,000

UTG raises to 950

Leatherman flats UTG+1 with KK

UTG+2 shoves 14,000

Barry Neville shoves on the button 16,000

Original raiser passes, Leatherman calls all in

UTG+2 has 66

Neville has AK

6 on the flop

King on the river

Kings hold, Leatherman knocks both out, and is in clover.

Fraser Bellamy raises to 1600 at 300-600/50

He is flatted in piostion and then Jamie Dale in the big blind 4,600 with 6,000 behind

Bellamy sizes him up and makes it 15,000. The caller passes and Dale throws the rest in  with a shrug

Bellamy has made a good read with  Aspades Ts with Dale showing  8s 6s

Dale misses and is out 46th

Dean watson check calls 2,000 from the big blind to Antonio Croft's turn bet on  7h 5s 6d 9d

Watson fires 5,200 on a  Kd river.

Nice card to bet that, and Crofts is troubled because he takes several minutes to call with the turned straight  6s 8s

Watson as at it with  Tc 7c, the missed gutshot draw w second pair on the turn

Hh from my table. Seat 3 limps utg, I overlimp q8 green. 2 calls, blinds complete. As Qs 9c Ben from sky leads out for 250 into 600odd. Utg limper calls. Neither can have a strong hand here so I squeeze to 1100 with middle pair and bdfd. Both peel. Yikes. 4h on the turn, check check I check. 9d on the river, ben checks, utg limper jams for 4.9k and tank and call hoping ben folds an ace behind me. He does and my Q is good :)

Done it all since though obv.

Your read was wrong lol.

You online lags!

In the big blind he bets 5,000 of his remaining 9,000 on the river of K-3-6-Q-K

He is called by both his opponents and shows K-3 for flopped two pair and rivered full house

Rory Andrews 1,500 in the cut off

Anthony Jacobs 3,400 in the small blind

Daniel Roche in the big blind calls the orginal raise but has not noticed the 3 bet

He is told by ruling that he has two options, make up the correct call or forfeit the chips he has put in. He chooses to call, unhappily

Andrews now 4-bets to 8,000

Jacobs passes

Roche peeks down at 4-5 off. Clear fold right. No, he calls

flop K-J-6 check from Roche, shove from Andrews, Roche folds having done 8,000 of his 25,000 stack in cold blood, and all for compounding his first error of poor observation

Flop A-4-10

Moult has not acted and Whelbourn fires out 10,000. The bet stands if Moult makes no action

He checks, 10,000 goes and Moult check raises all in

Whelbourn all in with A-Q with a lot of his stack committed already

Moult with a cutely played A-A

Quite a debate going on at the tables here, with players and TDs

20 left in Level 11

3 tables playing 7,7,6 handed

Some players unhappy that they are going to have to play shorthanded through to the end of Level 13, which currently is a rigid stopping point for tonight's play

DTD's expectation pre-play was that 17% of the field would get through to Sunday...15 runners in the terms of tonight's field

We look like we are going much lower than that though

Should play be stopping with 9 left? Or would you play it on down to 5 or 6 left say?

Is that an advantage or disadvantage for tonight's players relative to tomorrow's who could reasonably expect to play full ring all day?

Lots of chatter, lots of strategies being formulated by players as I write

Breaking to two nine handed tables

Chip leader appears to be John Perrin, co tasbling with Fraser Bellamy, Jakally and Leatherman (who is now shortstacked)

On the other table Dan Morgan sits out of position to Miles McKenzie and across from another chip leader Mehtab Shabhir

Random poll of exiting players today, I reckon up to half are buying in again tomorrow

91 tonight, guess 250 tomorrow= 341 at £336 = beating the guarantee

If you are vaciullating about coming tomorrow, I suggest it might be worth your trip...won't see many bigger prize pools for £336, and that's thanks to likely re-entries

Mehtab Shabhir is a chip leader

He limps for 2,000 on the button with  3c 5c. Jason Herbert taught him that

Francis Jones completes with  2d  4h

Daniel Roche 9,000 in the big blind with  Kc Kh

Both call!

flop, yup,  2s 4d 6d

Jones Shoves two pair, Roche shoves overpair and Mehtab is sitting there with the stone cold nuts

Easy game

He holds too

180,000 chips

14 left!

I'm only nice to Jason Herbert so he'll teach me a thing or two. I'm obviously learning by limp calling 53!

Oh and Tighty it's "Shabir" without the second "h";). Keep up the great updates and shall see you on Sunday.

Everyone says that you're a nice guy Jason but i'm beginning to doubt this when you start spreading these vicious rumours about Glen. The guy is a rock and everyone knows it, stop tarnishing his good name :D.

Cheers Alan, i hope so too. I managed to do my 160k day 2 stack in Monte Carlo within an hour so if i beat that i'll be happy!

Fraser Bellamy raises UTG+1

Mehtab Shabhir calls in position

E Livonas calls in the small blind and leads for 5,000 on  Th 5h 3d

Bellamy makes it 20,000 from 60,000

Shabhir shoves for about 55,000 total

Bellamy thinks and thinks. Purses his lips, looking ever more like Ricky Gervais, and only slightly less wealthy

He eventually flips, folding  Ac Td.

Routine pass, no? Fraser seemed to imply it was a thing of brilliance

This is about as bad as he could have played the hand.

Another Bitter and Technically Flawless Comment

untrue sir. Ive played with you before once and I wish you continued success as you were nice and pleasant at the table. I guess I shouldn't have commented but couldn't help it when Tighty described your take on how you played the hand.

Do you honestly think you played that ace ten well?

Everything I have said is factual...Poker is subjective and the way I play poker is always going to be different to anybody else (including you)..Im really not bothered about discussing specific hand history...Im more bothered about positive thinking and respect to other players.

You however are free to say as you wish !

For the record Shab...At no point did I say that you said you had kings...The hand was irrelavant..I was merely attempting to make a point about people basically insulting a play /laydown call it what you will for no reason /foundation or knowledge of the hand other than Tightys Post...however based on a subsequent comment I can see that trying to pacify the situation is complete waste of time and to no avail    :)

Good Luck with your big stack tommorow

For the record Bell, you said i had kings as if iit were a matter of fact and i was pointing out that i had neither showed nor said i had. And i do understand the point you are trying to make, but i suppose this is a forum after all so people will have different opinions on situations. Some may make their point constructively and others not.

If interested when the tourny is over i shall post what hand i had?

Cheers for the luck, and i hope yesterday went well for ya ;)
