Great start. 5 to the flop with my Utg +1 raise with AA, guy started spazzing out on a 864 flop, 2/3 on an 8 turn, then pretty much whacked the lot in on a king river. Sigh folded. Gen think he flopped the set. Hello 9k.. 5 limps on my Bb I make it 350 with AK same 5 call. C/f a 9q8 flop after a bet and 2 calls. Sitting comfy on 8k.. Suicide plz.

Dale had  3c 7c on a  9c 7h 5c board against the voluble Kassoof's  9s 7s

Two pair held

Never mind Jamie, Lets cheer you up after two goes at this comp for a combined five levels, with last's night's Warbwastard lookalike. Jamie called me a "twat" for this. For once I was blameless

New nicest guy in poker Nick Hicks is out

He raised, Keir Radcliffe and Jason Herbert called

flop J-J-8

Radcliffe leads, Herbert folds (as you would if a renowned tournament expert, with everything except J-J in that spot), Hicks calls

Turn 5

Chips fly in

Radcliffe 8-8

Hicks 5-5

Meanwhile Herbie himself is doing ok, knocking out Faisal Mohammed when he had  Ahrt Jh on a  8h 6h  4h flop. Took great skill to win the pot, and Herbie did it to perfection.

Julian Thew bets 3,000 from the cut off on the turn of

 Kd 3d Ks 8c

Maurice Nicholson bumps it up to 7,000 from the button

Thew 4 bets to 12,000 leaving only 3,000 behind

Not quite sure why Maurice 5 bet shoved with  7d 7c, but he did

Julian calls with  Kh Th

knocks out Nicholson and stacks his new chips

90,000 at 75-150. Largest stack I have ever seen at this stage

Knocked out Jamie Dale, which I told you about then another two players

Neville says "no, not 2002"

I really should have thought before I spoke because I responded with

"Sorry Barry, when was the last year you won anything, 2005? Better?"

Mad Turk a late entrant and he is co-tabling with Thew, Grech and Nville sat in seats 1-3

I remark a propos of nothing that this could be any festival table in the UK from 2002

Neville says "no, not 2002"

I really should have thought before I spoke because I responded with

"Sorry Barry, when was the last year you won anything, 2005? Better?"

Well, someone escort me to my car later, please

On table Herbie Will Kassoof raised every pot in the five minutes I sepnt waiting for Jason Herbert to put a chip into the pot, in vain

Kassoof's aggression though is backfiring, being played back at each hand, particularly by Nadim Sarwar

David Maudlin was the vanquisher of Ali Mallu to go over 60,000

One of the chip leaders is Michael lawton with over 80,000

He flopped trip Aces, against a flopped straight. Two 30,000+ stacks got it in, and he rivered the house

Kinboshi is officiallly running not so good. Loses a 400x bb pot at £1-£2 with  Kh Jh on  Ahrt 2h 3h. Versus  4h 5h

Simon Deadman then stacks the same player next hand with turned straight flush versus nut flush

More news from table Barry Neville

Barry has been badgering the DTD Staff for ages to put the Wimbledon greyhounds on instead of BGT

"I don't cooommme fooooking 'ere to watch wha' thamissus watches at 'ome" was the refrain

He apparently had a big bet on a dog, and eventually the dogs are on the plasmas

He persuades his table to back said dog. At 4/7. So a warm favourite. It comes 5th of 6th

The aftermath is represented by Keir Radcliffe

Two players at the table chose not to back the dog, seriously

Slight change of plan because midway through the round a corking hand came up that I hope will be worthy of discussion

Keir Ratcliff, talented London player opens to 925 at 200-400 ra 50

Jason Herbert, tight image, his live persona belieing the controversial troller we see on here, 3 bets to 2,100 on the button

Keir calls

flop  3d 2s 8s

At this point I can say that Keir has  Aspades Ahrt

check by Ratcliff, Herbert 3,700, called

turn  6s

check, check

river  Tc

check, Herbert 7,600 and Ratcliff c-raises to 15,200 with 40,000 behind

Herbert 4 bet shove for 22,400 more

You are Ratcliff, do you call?

Is Barry Neville doing the foxtrot by the cash desk?

Mitch ordering a pint of water and some lettuce?

(river probs a call because jason doesnt jam anything thats not the nut flush there and we have the ace of spades but I'm not saying I'd make that call vs Dr Herbert)

bobalike is out

On the button after 4 limpers with  Qh Js and he makes it 2000 at 300-600 ra 50 from 30,000

the big blind 5,500

limpers all pass

bobalike calls

flop is Jack high and the big blind shoves 70,000! As you do

bobalike thinks he must be ahead, but when calls he is shown Q-Q

I don't to this against you Guy. You are in the 90% of the room I don't bluff. He calls my 3 bet so obv has an over pair. I expected him to not like his hand when the turn comes. I tried to play the hand as though I had him beat. The only player who could fold aces here but was a little suprised with him having  Aspades

and seeing this board to knock him out, that's a five on the river

John Black from Milton Keynes, I think. Certainly a semi-reg at Luton. Good player. Has a slight arrogance of youth and a very promising confidence in his own ability. One to watch

Wanted another photo as he has "never had this many chips"

Won the £100 freezeout at Luton at 6am this morning, looks like he has just got in the car and went straight to dtd? Ask him for me if that's the same top he was wearing last night please. Def had that hat on.

Yeah same gear on as he had on at last night, but not a problem as he might be receiving a letter from Luton management after the weekend.

John Black opens to 3,500 UTG at 600-1200

Mark Cullembine calls UTG+1

Folded round to Robert Dean in the big blind who shoves for 25,000

Black calls

Cullembine folds  Jd Jc face up

Black "wow, you folded? you had me crushed"

shows  3d 3h

Dean "I have nothing" shows  Kc 9c

the flop has both titillated  4d 2c  5c

turn  Qc and Dean more than doubles up

Adrian Pound, the tightest player in the room and certainly the tightest player in Swindon has been moved one to Will Kassoof's left on table Herbie

I will try and describe the look on his face

It is part frozen in disbelief, part perma-raised eyebrow, part cowering wreck.

Of all the tables, the story from several who have been on it today, such as Richard Baker who spoke to me on the break, is that it is not a table for the fainthearted

Kassooof has doubled down and doubled up three times since level 5, Mo Ifzail last found a pass when he last played football, a long time ago, and good old Herbie is walking on hot coals through the detritus of slain foes exiting the table at the hands of chipped up aggressors

Was very quiet, gave him a build up when I joined, the BANG, whole table was on tilt within 5 minutes.

Worked a treat.

Richard Horton raised the cut off and Roberts called on the button with K-6

Flop A-3-4

Horton check calls 22,000

turn A

Horton check calls a jam, with A-8

Horton up to 130,000

Happened to see what must be the biggest comp of the tournament so far

Will Kassooof opened to 5,000 playing 130,000

Mo Ifzail flatted in the small blind playing 160,000

David Dring flatted in the big blind playing 50,000

flop  Kd 4d Jh

checked to Kassoof who led for 13,000

Ifzail made it 33,000 and Dring shoved with no fold equity

Kassoof looked faintly amused, uttered a few "wows" and shoved

Ifzail insta call the ship

So 280,000 in the middle

Kassoof  Jc Js

Ifzail  Ad Ks

Dring  9d 8d

turn  3c

river the killer  Td

Dring wins the 150,000 main pot

Kassooof the 130,000 side pot

Ifzail down to the felt

Ifzail immediately bemoans the lack of 3 bet from him pre, and of course Dring thanks his lucky stars that A-K was played so slow to give him a chance to win such a big pot
