Table 34, alan stearn opens 200 from mp, chippyman flats next to act with AKo, the lady to his left also calls. They see a flop of 662 which the 50/100 online reg Alan cbets. chippyman peels one off as does mrs x . Chirping away like mad Frankie and Alan speculate as to what each other is holding. An 8 rolls off, alan gives up and Frankies turn bet gets through both. Next hand he c/raises the turn with 5d3d on a board of 8d7d3h5h and gets it through to win a decent pot. He's in a good mood today.

Arrive at Paul Gearys table to see 1700 in the middle pre, paul looks like he had the initiative and leads out 1050 on 993 the button calls. 3 on the turn check/check. 4 on the river paul checks and the button bets 2500 - paul looks infuriated as he gives up AK.

Stearn: "you've said the same thing about 15 times now!"

Pretty slow going here, certainly compared to yesterday, much less action. Almost everyone I've seen has around starting stack.

Jason just told me of his plan. Make day two with half average. Because then, you're two double ups away from double average. His book is going on sale in the winter.

Sinem on a spinup.

Down to 7k she raises Js 3s from middle position. Blinds call and both check call Sinems cbet on Ks Qs 2h . All check on Jc turn.

Aspades on the river giving Sin the nuts. SB bets, BB calls, Sin shoves and the SB calls it off. Now on 22k.

Sean Day limps first to go. Blinds complete and check.

Pot 600. Q52 check, Philip Hambling leads out from the BB for 2300. Sean calls. K on the turn, Philip bets 2300 again. Call. 5 on the river. Philip bets 3300.

Sean then realises that Philip is BB so may have a "big blind special"...then calls. And Will the dealer expertly and correctly predicts Q5 for Philip for a rivered house. Philip up to 45k.

9 hands from a lively table 23...here's the lineup.

23     1     Sibel Melin
23    2    Faheem Samji
23    3    Spyros Mouzoura
23    4    Craig Young
23    5       Steve Brown
23    6    Andy King
23    7    Gary North
23    8    James Tidey
23    9    Rupinder Bedi

From a fish's viewpoint.

Blinds are 100/200

1. Bedi forces the price of poker up. 475 first to go. Spying weakness, Spyros Mouzoura pounces with a 1200 rerereraise. Bedi puts him on Ace and King and lets him have it.

2. Gary North on the dolly makes it 525 to play. Priced in, both James and Bedi call out of the blinds to see a cheap flop.

 3d 7d 8s check/check/check

Ks James leads out for 675, Bedi gets out of the way, Gary smooth calls.

Qh Now James doesn't really know where he's at so checks. Gary bets 1225 and gets called. Ace and King for Gary which takes it down.

3. Blind vs Blind, Bedi makes it 500 from the small. Melin makes it up.

Qh Ts 8d Bedi check calls 600.

Ac both check the scary card

5h check, Melin bets 1300. Bedi tanks and chucks it in. "I've got an eight" Melin claims. Bedi flips Tc 2c for just third pair and scoops the pot. What a player he is.

4. 500 from Tidey in the cutoff, Samji calls from the BB.

8s 2s 4h check, 500 from Tidey, call from Samji.

Qh check, Tidey represents, with another bet of 1125 which forces a fold from Samji

5. Bedi raises again, 475 from the cutoff. Samji and Sypros are both fed up of him raising their blinds all the time, so decide to take a stand together...and call.

8d 9c Th check check, Bedi, sensing the rebellion, elects not to cbet.

Kd check from Samji, 875 from Spyros, Bedi folds, Samji calls.

9h check, tank check behind from Spyros who flips Kh Jh, second best to the Kc Qc for Samji. Bedi curses himself for not cbetting. He's looking on the edge of a meltdown today.

6. Sanji 475 on the dolly. 1600 from Young in the BB. Sanji sees a flop.

Ac 2c 4c Young checks his cards for clubs. Reaches for chips. THen checks. Sanji checks behind.

Ad 1500 from Young, call from Sanji.

8c snap check, Sanji goes to put a bet together, Young attempts to talk him out of betting saying "I have the Queen I'll call, not too much" etc etc. Sanji's having none of that and says "you can't talk me out of this" and bets 6500.

Young realises he can't continue without a club so folds instantly. Sanji shows  Kh Js for an airball. Nh sir.

7. Andy King opens UTG to 600, Bedi  calls from MP, Steve Brown shoves 4.6k from the BB, king folds, Bedi looks him up with a strong pair of Tens. Brown is caught in the cookie jar and shows just Ace King high. So George gets it in good yet again and manages to hold on the raggy board. I get the feeling an epic blowup would have ensued had he not.

8. Raise from Tidey takes it down.

9. Anger brewing, Bedi makes it 475 ftg. Spyros calls in MP, Gary North calls in BB.

2c 9s 3s check, Bedi cbets 850, Sypros folds. North calls.

Ks North leads out for 1600, Bedi calls

4s 3250 from North.

"SO SICK" Bedi exclaims and after tanking for a while launches the chips into the middle and slams down in fists in anger when shown As Kh for the nuts.

The tournament director comes over and asks him to calm down.

Here ends the first Round with Alex.

Lee Cowmeadow opens to 800 in mid position

Matt Russell 1,800 on the button

Cowmeadow calls

flop  2d 4c 6d

check, Russell 2,000 from 15,000.

Cowmeadow calls

turn  3c

check, Russell 3,000

Cowmeadow sets him in with a c/raise to 15,000

Russell's chips fly in with  5s 8s

Cowmeadow has the nut hand though,  5c 7c and with a redraw to better too

river  Tc and Cowmeadow knocks out Russell

Table 38 attracts my attention.

1 Lee Cocknoft
2 Alan Mcbridge
3 Waheed Ashraf
4 Jason Herbert
5 Richard Young
6 Steve Mitchell
7 Raj Dhiri
8 Mark Mccluskey

Jason promises to play some hands if I stick around. Wadey promises to run the table over and insists I stand behind him so i can see his cards. Learning from two of my biggest heroes in poker - it's too good an offer to turn down.

150/300 w25

1. 625 from Mccluskey in EP

Herbert peel SB

4d 3d 4s check, Mark reaching for chips is enough to get Jason to muck

2. Cocknoft raises, Herbert peels the button.

Cbet from Cocknoft on Ad Tc 6s, Jason folds showing a 6. Cocknoft shows As Ac. Jason insists that people are scared to play in pots with him.

3. Wadey shows me Kh Th and raises to 700, Young flats in position, the bb calls

Jh 2s 5s check, Wadey 1100, Young calls. BB folds.

8c Wadey 3600 long dwell from Young who eventually calls.

6h 7k from Wadey. Young has 11k ish left. Tanks for ages and ages and makes a great call with 7c 5c. Wadey bemoan his bad luck.

4. Keen to redeem himself, he raises the next hand with Ad 4d, the blinds call. Wadey cbets Ks Qs 7c and it gets through.

5. Wadey limps Td 7d utg+1. Jason Herbert overlimps next to act. BB calls.

Kd 4s 5c check/check Herbery bets out 1k. BB fold. Wadey tanks.............and fold. Herbert show Ks Qs.

6. Wadey raises As Qd utg, takes it down.

7. Young limps MP. Raj Dhiri makesit 1025 from MP. McBride 3025 from the small blind. Raj dwell passes AQ. McBridge shows a superior Ace high.

8. Mccluskey raises 625 on Herbert big blind. ONly Jason calls.

Th 3c 4h check check

2s Jason bets 750. Mark calls.

7d check/ check Jason shows 7c 5c which is good.

9. Wadey raises to 700 with Ts 8d. Herbery calls from the button, BB calls.

9h 6s 4c checks round.

Kd check, Wadey bets and it gets through.

Here ends the second round with Alex, and what an inspiration it was. Young one to watch out for I think. Jason told me of a hand where Young fold A2 on 3454 to a large bet from Jason. To those that know Jason it would seem like an easy pass, but to an unknown it was impressive.

A tap on the shoulder last night

"Hello, you take crap photographs of me"

"Oh, sorry"

"take them like this, like that lady at the UKIPT does"

"but..."

"no but's, take them better"

Here's Sinem Melin, ladies and gents

A woman not to be messed with

And mighty fine Sin looks too...

Obviously Im  getting to speak to a lot more people in my new role at the club lately and had a good chat with Both Sin and Alex yesterday..both very nice people..and  a great laugh to boot .

Just read yesterdays posts and some  nice comments from both tighty and Jason...much appreciated and ditto back..Sometimes Im a little Pre occupied but generally my hearts in the right place and try to be good to my fellow mankind   :)

Had to laugh about Richards post re me giving him my business cards.. I  Agree the softwares not the best on DTD but its certainly not the worst and definitely playable and of course there a lot of value in the satellites....sales pitch....yawn

Anyway..good luck to all the guys playing today including Mr Jason H..My man Wadey, Tom Red Dog and all Blonde members and cheers Tighty for the updates.

Ill hopefully see you for Day 2 tomorrow.

Peace x

PS..GO GO..David Haye

PPS  Im from Sheffield not Scunny   :)

Standing watching table RED-DOG, he is sat next to Alistair Carins, who had a really close escape a decade back when tangling with a Shark off the Queensland coast in Australia

His arm now is a real mess, huge bite mark and the stories he tells about the experience, well they have filled many a car park break

Red and he tangle in a pot

Carins passes 10-10 to a 4 bet

and says "I was in bad shape wasn't I?"

RED replies "Yes you were dead in the water"

Quite an interesting atmosphere here. Eight tables and about 20 screens, including a pulled down big screen on Haye v Klitschko

Play is slow. Conversation ranges from Lennon Lewis's dreadlocks to boxing in the rain to who will win

If someone were to concentrate, they could take down quite a few hands here!

very tricky spot that because the massive overshove looks like AK a lot of the time, which means if original raiser has you covered I don't like it at all....odds are he has a pair rather than high cards obviously because 4 of them look like they're out there and he's a big favourite. I lean reluctantly towards a fold there
