First hand back after the break

David Hide raises the button, Turk calls in the small blind

flop  8d 7h 5d

Turk check raises and is called

turn  7d

Turk shoves 20,000 into 8,000 or so

Hide gives it a massive think and eventually calls all in with  Ad Jd

Turk flips  7s 6d

"pair the board" he implores, momentarily forgetting his OESFD

river  3d and Hide doubles through Turk to around 48,000

More fun and games at table Turk

Turk has doubled through since I was last down there, and he raises to 600 at 100-200 in the cut off

Toby Lewis calls in the big blind

flop  Kd Qd Ac

check, Turk 1350

Lewis c-raises to 3650.

Turk ponders and calls

turn  Qc

Turk "that is the dream card, for someone. Maybe me"

It goes check check

river  8c

Lewis leads 6,500

Turk "I should have gone all in on the flop"

Lewis "you have  Ad 4d?"

Turk "close"

He calls with  Ad 3d and Lewis shows  Jd Tc for the flopped nuts

"I knew it" says Turk,"if I had put you all in on the flop I would have lost all my chips"

100% right mate. only one table i would choose to sit on in this event (and it aint yours). starting today is such a disadvantage to playing tomorrow. the field is stonger by far, better degens play today and go on the piss friday night, as the entrants are less then later on in the night as the numbers reduce then the on line short handed experts have a clear edge. plus with the loaded treating it like a double chance then you gotta avoid more than a few minefields.
you can use my one time alex coz i never used it, gl

and cambridge Alex Goulder then wins another one

I join the action with Goulder betting 900 on  2h 3s 6c from the cut off, Brammer on the button calling

turn  4c. Alex check calls 2350

river  9h goes check check

Alex flips  5h 5c, no doubt disappointed his crafty river check did not lead to Brammer trying to take the pot

Jamie Moult raises in the cut off

Darren Wright 3 bets the button

Alex Goulder 4 bets from the blinds

Only Wright calls

flop Q-Q-10

Goulder leads 3,200, about half the pot

Wright jams 18,000

Instant call

Goulder A-A

Wright J-J

Turn K

River 10

Alex Goulder to over 60,000

Trevor Reardon raises to 750

Colin Young flats next to act with K-K (uh oh)

A second caller of the raise

Umar Khan then 4,500 3 bet

Reardon folds

Young shoves

Khan calls

Khan A-K

The inevitable Ace comes, Khan wins the 65,000 pot and knocks Young out

Stuart Fox raises to 750, Sapiano calls on the button and Mohammed Javed calls in the big blind

flop  Tc 3d 7s

checked to Fox who leads for 1150

Sapiano calls

Javed c-raise to 4,350 from 20,000

Fox folds (a ten)

Sapiano looks at his cards, I peek. Two black Aces. Sneaky

Sneaky gives way to the bludgeon as Sapiano moves all in and Javed folds

Sapiano I reckon is the chip leader with over 100,000. Won a big hand against Umar Khan I gather before this report

Thomas Walker opens to 1,650.

Toby Lewis calls on the button

Rob Yong 5,000 in the big blind

Walker folds

At this point it becomes interesting, with plenty of good natured sparring between Lewis and Yong. Lewis distrustful of the three bet

Lewis threatens to go allin, Yong replies that if he does he will be called

Lewis goes all in. Yong indeed does call!

We suddenly have a 120,000 chip pot, for 3/4 of Lewis's stack

Yong AQo

Lewis

pause

I have to look tiwce

2-2

7-10-4-A-Q

Lewis doubles Yong up and they both chuckle heartily

Rob Yong has dancing chips now

Nicola Malvasi opens UTG

Rob Yong calls in the cut off

Tim Slater 3 bet on the button

Called by both

flop  Js 9h 7h

Malvasi checks

Yong checks

Slater c-bets 10,000

Malvasi calls

Yong picks up a stack of Purple 5,000 chips and check raises setting both in

Over the course of the next few minutes Slater passes

Malvasi passes

Slater has asked for his cards to go to one side. He flips the folded  Aspades Ad

Malvasi shows  Kh Kc!

Yong

shows a quite magnificent  8h 4h to a huge atmosphere round the table

Nick Hicks shoves UTG+2 for 20,000

as you can see from the pic above he is sandwiched, lugubrious, phlegmatic and weather-beaten, between Pab and Middy

Must have nearly 300,000

Went to table Yong/Goulder with a good chunk (probably the vanquisher of recently exited Ben Turnstill) then had AA vs Goulder's 10-10 to make further progress

OK bear with me on this one

It gets complicated

Limped pot pre. Bandit Evans on the button, Middy and Daniel Beswick in the blinds

flop  Ahrt 7c 4c

checked round

turn  8c

This turns out to be the mother of all action cards

checked to Evans who leads for 2,000

Before Middy gets the chance to do anything Beswick calls out of turn

Middy decides to raise to 6,500

Beswick has to call this but instead puts in too many chips

He is made to min raise to 11,000

Evans calls this!

Middy then shoves for 65,000 total

Beswick folds having made two errors and done 11,000 or 1/4 of his stack in cold blood

Evans calls, and we suddenly have a 150,000 pot. Evans  Jc 9c

Middy  Qc 5s

I look several times at all of this trying to transcribe the hand correctly, players round the table peer over at the developing commotion

Middy needs a club then. He bricks the river and leaves, handing Evans a 150,000 stack that will probably last him a week with this structure

Ronaldo flats

Lee Williamson 11,000 on the button with  Aspades Qs

Ronaldo makes it 25,000

Tristan McDonald opens to 3,200 in the cut off

Rob Yong flats on the button

Tim Slater 10,000 in the big blind

McDonald passes

Yong calls

flop   5h Ad 9h

Slater leads for 14,000

Yong wonders out loud whether his Ace is good.

Slater tells him he is miles ahead

Yong calls

turn  6s

Slater immediately shoves his last 45,000 in

Yong tells the table he is only losing to one hand, AK.

"He must have AK here"

Eventually he folds, showing  Qh, lets assume its AQ

Slater flips over  Td Tc from a considerable height

Rob's hands go onto his head.

Lets play it with Danny Rudd who has KK, I think

Vaidas Sirunas makes it 3,200 utg from 35,000

Rudd 7,500 in mid position playing 100,000

Terry Mitford calls playing 65,000

Sirunas calls

flop  Jc Jd Jh

Sirunas checks and Danny Rudd bets 14,000

Mitford quickly calls

Sirunas folds

Turn  3h

Rudd 23,000. Mitford a quick all in

Rudd

"Would you really have Aces here?"

5 minutes later

"Queens?"

5 minutes later still thinking

what are you doing with Kings full here?

He got knocked out earlier on 1a

Went to see a film, discovered that the screens were Harry Potter 2 d/3d, Transformers 3 and Kung Fu Panda 2.

Didn't want to see any of them so goes to Frankie and Benny's

orders a steak. It's terrible apparently, He walks out without eating it

Comes back to DTD, decides to play the sat. Wins a seat with 20% of the chips in play when the bubble bursts

As Tighty missed it my bust out habd was kinda standard...

Anonymous opened to 2500 from MP and I 3 bet to 7500. BB and Anonymous called.

Flop was  6d 4d 3h and action was checked to me. I bet 12K, BB folded and Anonymous raised to 27K. I shipped and got a fairly insta call...

I had  Kh Kc and Anonymous had  6c 4s and he holds in a 135K ish pot.
