Title: Possible Poker Players Charity Boxing Evening!? Post by: pez102 on July 31, 2011, 04:18:26 AM Myself and a few other poker player friends have been discussing for a while now of possibly organising a charity boxing event. Basically the idea was brought up as a way to help us get into good shape, and that we could also make money for charity, and we can all watch and have a laugh. I'm not sure where it would take place but i'm sure if there's enough interest in can be sorted. I actually think a lot of money could be made for charity from it, i know for a fact i'd pay a decent amount of money to see some hilarious contest's.
If anybody has any interest let me know, i think in around 6 months time would be ideal, giving people lots of time to train. Once names are in we can select who should go up against who and so on. No pro or semi ex or whatever fighters allowed sorry :) just poker players. People who showed interest previously where... jake cody, ash mason, tom mac and nicky evans. Bit of bad blood between Fintan Gavin and another Irish lad who had stuck the nut on him. Night before the comp they set up a full ring and went to war. Fight was declared a draw but was pretty obv Fintan had done some serious boxing years ago. Who the feck would wanna punch lildave, Cody or eames?
