Title: EPT London, and European mixed game championships
Post by: easypickings on August 31, 2011, 04:06:59 AM
Hi,

I am selling for both the EPT London Main Event (I will play day 1A on Friday 30th September), and for the only big mixed game event of the year in Europe, which is the European 8-game championships, a two day event starting on Monday 3rd october.

I feel that the £5000 + £250 EPT Main Event is amongst the tougher of the EPT Main Events, but that there is still good value from many satellite qualifiers and local players, and so will be selling at 1.1, so that

1% = £57.75
10% = £577.50 etc

I played the 8-game event last year, which had about 120 entrants, and it was fantastic value. I'll sell for the £2000 + £150 event at 1.25, which I feel is a good price, as I am reasonably strong in all of the eight games. The prices will be

1%= £26.88
10% = £268.80 etc

Selling up to a maximum of 50% for each event.

This is my Hendon Mob, http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=54053

Payment would be best on Stars (sturutter23), if possible.

Guys, really sorry, I've decided not to play the Main Event....

I felt rough last night, couldn't sleep for ever, and woke up feeling in a way that would have made it very tough to play poker well.

PMs sent too, will obv. refund straight away, plus 2% "interest." Could you let me know bank details or Stars name, and I will snap sort.

I probably would have punted it on my own dime, and feel bad dropping out, but also didn't want to be playing below par. I'm otherwise engaged tomorrow, so unfortunately 1B was never a possibility.

So, 1% was £57.75, and is now £58.90, 10% is £589.00, etc. The 8-game event is Monday, which I'm sure I'll be OK for, and will try to return a less pathetic profit!

Great performance Stu, ul not to win.

The guy who won (English kid in your tweets) is in my pokerfarm group. In our group skype chat he's been raving about this tournament for ages. He managed to get someone to put him in (think it's the biggest tournament he's played) and he's been buzzing about it for weeks and weeks and weeks so I'm really happy for him too.

Hey guys,

First of all, apologies for not being able to update through the tournament. We played such long days that I never quite had the time to get through the Metrepole's awful internet service. Thanks so much Tikay for updating on the thread!

So, to confirm, I finsihed 3rd for £13,000, so a 1% piece cashes for £130, 10% for £1300, etc, etc. I'll send to bank accounts now that I have all deets, unless anyone would like it in any other way?

I'l write a full tourney report once I have time. It was great fun for two long days, and very interesting, as for so much of the seocnd day we played 6/5/4/ handed, which is very intense across eight different games!

Ironically and unfortunately, the only hand I regret came in the wierdest of the mixed games, a game called no limit holdem. I peeled a three bet with tens, flopped a set on 10s6s2c, and after much thought, decided to raise there rather than trap. The English kid thought for like TEN minutes in a pot that could have knocked him out and given me about 550k, and eventually made a good fold.
