7-7 on 7-9-10-10 She's the pre-flop raiser and Oliver Ward has called in the blinds All the money goes in on the 4 river, which is a 4th spade. Speechplay goes mad.... Chris Bruce shoves 12,000 at 400-800 UTG Roberto Romanello calls leaving 1,000 behind Grant Pullen in the big blind thinks Romanello starts talking, first telling him he is way ahead if he has 3-3 and to call Pullen then says his pair is bigger than that We'll soon learn that whatever his pair is, its certainly not big enough lol Chris Bruce asks him if he has Jacks Pullen says no a bit lower Bruce "tens?" Pullen "yes" Romanello "if he does call and he has tens his hand is dead right? you can't name your hand" "I didn't name my hand" says Pullen "You did" says someone else "He didn't" says the dealer Pullen calls for a Ruling His hand is ruled live even if he has named his hand A few minutes of to and fro later Romanello is implying that tens would be a easy call "everyone knows you are calling, just call and lets see" Pullen has 50,000 Eventually Pullen passes Romanello shows 8-8 and tells the table "My work here is done" laughing another player at the table tells Pullen "Man you got speechplayed out of it" Bruce A-Q flop 3-8-A Pullen "see I was right" (yes, seriously) turn 6 river A Romanello knocks out Bruce Title: Re: DTD November £100,000 Deepstack. Roberto mucks "A masterclass in min betting with Ace high to induce a bluff" he comments, sardonically Not the class I signed up for. I went next door to the "how exact value with weak hands by check raising the river". Why do I never sign up for these classes... maybe this is my mistake as they obv work Title: Re: DTD November £100,000 Deepstack. Update sponsored by mycardshark.com: Day 1b Post by: smashedagain on November 06, 2011, 10:03:45 AM On my exit hand sunny mistri mins 800 with utg and I am utg +2. This is a very suspicious bet as he has raised every hand he plays a lot of hands but the only ones he has shown have been nuts. One guy even comments on a sunny trap. I pick up a 1k chip to look as tho I am thinking about just calling but at the last minute pick up 2 more and make it 3k to look like I am needing to know now if it's a trap or not. Insta folds round back to sunny who looks me in the eye and tells me he's all in for 23k more which is kust over average stack and i just cover. The good news is I am holding the AA he is trying to rep.
The bad news is he has the Chinese aces and his 88 matches nicely with the door card 8. He was one of the better players on mu table and defiantly in the 5% of the field who have a clue , but obv nowhere near as good as me :) Title: Re: DTD November £100,000 Deepstack.
