Nick Slade is chipped up already after 15 minutes of play, seems to be a bit of tension between him and Keith Johnson.

Keith raises from early position, Nick says he'll call without looking as no one believes him when he raises. Nick takes it down on turn.

Just chatting to Rick Gilby about the pace of the game so far - mental seems to be the order of the day. No one sitting back waiting for hands, one guy on his table flatting a raise with 10J, flop 1010 - despite the blinds being 25/50 he managed to get a 6k pot out of it.

Keith Johnson has taken out Nick Fellone, AQ vs A& all in pre. I'm guessing Nick was short, although from what I've seen so far, it's not impossible that he got 15k over the line pre.

At the table next to me I see Nick Slade standing up saying he hasn't said Call yet.

Flop of 5 A 3 2.

Nick has bet 15k. Dan Corbett says Call and shoves ALL his chips over the line, tabling AK.

Nick turns over K10, then it turns out Dan has more than 15k so in essence has reraised although only devlared a call, and all cards are on show.

Dan thought he only had 15k, hence the call. Just to confuse issues further, Nick Slade states he hasnt actually called.

Floor is called and the ruling is that betting can take oplace on the river.

Nick's drawing dead anyway, river is 2, Dan goes all in and nick folds. Pretty quick.

John Beck is out, and paul bennett, two of the chip leaders for most of the day.

Paul's hand - Jon prested raises to 2,200, paul shoves in 16k allin, called by Jon with 88 and Paul tables 55, just to rub more salt in the wound, Jon hits a straight to hammer home the win.

John Beck - just before the break I asked him if he had taken a hit as he was down to 55k and he replied no, he just kept bluffing and getting caught.

Raise by one player, called by 3 more, John decided to 3 bet AQ and was flat called by Terry Owens.  They got it all in on the flop as John had committed himself but Terry's pocket 5s held, and John is gone.

Paul was in after the break.
