3,000 in the middle on a 5d 6h 9s Kd 8d board.
Steven Watts bets 2,650, Tim Flanders makes it 6,000.
Watts ask 7-9 of diamonds then? Thinks, then folds.
Flanders says "since you called it" and does indeed show 9d 7d .

Things get worse for Watts.
3k in the middle on a 7s 9d 8s Tc Qs board.
Watts checks, Simon Deadman just fires 10k into the 3k pot. Watts is feeling sick, calls with 9h 9s behind the Kc Js of Deadman. Watts stack has been severely hit.

1,700 in the middle as the flop falls 7d 4h 5c .
Anon bets 1200, Kugelstadt calls as does John Black.
Turn - 6s .
Anon checks, Kugelstadt bets 2,000, both Black and Anon call.
River - 4c .
Anon bets 4k, Kugelstadt calls, Black folds.
Anon shows 7s 7h Kugelstadt mucks.

Greek Jack doubles, leaving Anon stunned.
It went in on a 6c 5h 8s board, Jack with 7c 7d , Anon Ks Kh .
9h on the turn leaves Anon on about 2k, Greek Jack up to 60k.

Ali Mallu raises up UTG+1 and James Tomlin calls in the cut off

Mallu 800 on 4-6-7, called

Mallu checks on the 7 turn. Tomlin 2,000 and is check raised to 7,000. Tomlin calls

Mallu 8,000 on the 6 river double pairing the board

Tomlin calls and is shown 8-7 off to send a nice pot Mallu's way

201 needed to hit the guarantee, so currently a £18,000 overlay

I reckon it will be pretty close on the overlay front by the time late registration ends at 9.40pm

Peter Linton self-admittedly is doing his best to blow two stacks in two flights in a combined four levels

Last night, a 3 bet by K-2 and a float forcing him to pass K-K send him off the edge. Today a 3 bet by an opponent holding 6-4 appears to have done the trick

Co-tablers Black, Morris and Kan..Luton's answer to JLS...lie in wait

5,500 in the middle on Jd 4c 3s Qh 7c .
Jeffrey Hemmerman bets out 2,625. Kenny Prazer makes it 6,200. Hemmerman reaches making it 18,700, Prazer tank folds then announces he had two pair.
Hemmerman tables 5s 2s for 5 high.

The plinton wars continue..

He has already..
Had a limp-raise from the guy on his right..
Saw an  Axx flop, called the cbet, then shoved over a 10 turn which brought a second fd.

Then vs same villain a couple of orbits later..
He gets check raised on a J23s 9o turn from 3.5k to 10k.

Takes a few seconds and then slides in his 24k...

The gentleman takes a few seconds himself and then calls...

Plinton - AJo
Gentleman - J5o

Must be soooo nice. :D

Plinton goes up to 54kish, looks like my table just got even more fun.

Now there's a sidebet being worked out that seat 2 can't do more than 'mincash'.
Plinton on self declared life tilt.

Antics going on at Table 21. Tim Flanders laid down Qc Qd to a raise of 3,500 pre, George Charalambous shows the Ahrt for apparently the 8th time out of 10 hands, same suit every time.
Flanders says with his 25k stack its shove or fold, George didn't have Aces and is trying to justify the fold to himself, as well as the rest of the table.

on a Qc 8s Ts Th 4s board with about 15k in the middle David Burghardt checked. Tony Curant bet out 10,100, Burghardt hesitated for a slight moment then called.
Burghardt showed Qd Qh which funnily enough was ahead, Curant showing the Ahrt . Burghardt says he was scared of Quads.

Will Mitchell leads for 2,000

Simon Deadman makes it 6,000

Umar Khan 18,000

turn  3d gives Khan the freeroll

river  Ad ships the huge pot to Khan and knocks Deadman out

tikay rivers the nuts with K-Q on 7-10-A-J-4

Three people have been in the pot until the turn, tikay in the small blind, Zane Collinson in the big blind and Ali Mallu utg

tikay leads the turn and the big blind calls

On the river tikay does a sneaky check, Collinson 1,000. tikay a brave c-raise on a non flushing board to 3,000

At this point Collinson intends to raise, and adds a 5,000 chip to his 1,000 already in the pot

He says nothing, and it ius adjudged that as he has put a single chip in this goes as a call

Unlucky tikay.

Collinson had 10-7 for flopped bottom two. An inexperienced player Collinson, tikay would have attracted more chips with another raise

No Stato.. I've played like 5hands all day and had a mix of results.. To busy watching Plinton rip it up, then get bored and  then the rest of us started playing hands.

I said its a pretty sick value bet because vs Gavin Khan I think it is.  The look of anguish on his face as he called was a picture.

Lost Plinton from my table now, so its a little more playable.

Jc on the turn leaves Sadler drawing dead and on the rail, Wadey up to about 70k.

Three way limped pot

tikay limps UTG, Andrew Bobalike on the button and the big blind

 Ks Ts 3s flop

checked to Andrew who bets 2,000 from 12,000

Both call

turn  4d

checked to Andrew again who is all in for his remaining 10,000

the big blind folds and tikay looks like Chris Huhne going past a speed camera too fast.

Eventually tikay calls with  Kc Tc, and Andrew turns over  7s 5s

river  Th and the full house sends bobalike to the rail and tikay over 50,000

Dinarte Araujo De Sousa (sigh, saves in notepad) calls

Ronaldo calls

Q high rainbow flop

Ronaldo leads

Mallu 3 bets

De Sousa passes J-J he assures me

Ronaldo 4 bet shoves for 50,000

Chances of Mallu finding a pass with A-Q? Slim

No ten arrives, Ronaldo out and Mallu over 120,000

John Black the man on the move.
6500 in the middle on 7h 8s Qh , Black check calls the bet of 6,000 from Grummitt.
Turn = 5s
Check check.
River = Ahrt
Black checks, Grummitt shoves for 15k. Black instantly says "I'm not slow rolling, I promise this isn't a slowroll, I just hate that river".
After much though Black says "I just can't do it" and calls with Qc Qd
Grummitt shows 3c 2c but unfortunately for him we aren't playing Omaha hi/lo, Grummit now out.

tikay raises with  Kd Jd to 1,500

the unpredictable Zane Collinson makes a by now familiar to the table shove for 6,700 more

tikay is calling, but first has to deal with Shola Akindele making it 40,000 more

he passes

Collinson with 3-3 is up against Shola's 10-10

He doesn't spike, and exits as Shola goes over 70,000

Just a small one.. Having a good orbit - up to 56k from 12k @ break.

The QQ vs 23 hand is missing one crutial detail..
I open utg.. And I've been supertight, this guy knows this im sure. He then 3bts really small, like sickly small - 3100 over my 1250 open.

Anyone who knows me and has read my blog knows I try to level myself and don't pay attention when people 'tell' me what they have. In this instance I decided to play very cautious until the flop came Q high... Now I hope im stacking AA/ KK.. Then he looked so happy on the A river n shoved that my gut instinct was that he's hit it. (Only problem is he can have AK/AQ here.... )
So I sigh call with the set of Q's and get a table rap from him, gd call John!!!! Then I see 2c 3c and look like a tool. Fml.

Day two, we're booking a seat pls!

Tom McCready is out

One hand before this he has J-J, calls a 3 bet and passes on the flop

This hand he has J-J again, raises.

Rana Gurnam 3 bets the button

Mark Wagstaff flats in the big blind

Tom shoves

Rana shoves

Wagstaff with A-A does a mental cartwheel and obviously we have a three way all in

Rana KK

JJ v KK v AA then

Q-9-6-4-4

Wagstaff trebles up.

I only saw the aftermath, but I presume Jenkinson got it in with 7h 7d against the Kd Qd of the Alistair Carins.
KQ turned a boat, Jenkinson out.

John Black also out.
He got it in good with Qd Qh against the 7d 7c of Ganesh Jayaraman on a 9c 5s 4h board.
River was 7h , meaning Black is eliminated losing a pot of 90k.

An interesting one here.
Nicholas Crisp makes it 4k pre from the button. Ghassan Chehbi then puts him all in from the big blind for 60k. Crisp calls with Qd Qh , Chehbi has 9d 2h .
Queens hold, a nice double for 125k for Crisp.

Pete Linton is out in tremendous style

Triple barrelled all streets with no pair and no draw. Called down by the Luton builder Tony Poole with second pair, including a 50k river shove

Linton describes Poole "I knew he was a station, but surely even he couldn't call on the river"

A case of picking the wrong opponent, as perennial foes of Poole can attest to. Fearless.

Table break have produced an interesting spot for Luke Fields, directly out of position to Ali Mallu, Stephen Lovatt and Anthony Nicholls

All four have 100k plus

In the hand I watched Lovatt raised to 4,000 UTG

Fields called in the small blind

Mallu called in the big blind

A flop of  4c 6h Th is checked round

Mallu check calls 8,000 on the  8h turn from Lovatt

check check on the  Jh river

Mallu  Ad Ts beats Lovatt  9d 9c

Just spoke to Ganesh Jayaraman, I don't think I've spoke to a happier man since Wan who won the Monte Carlo Event.
He said "could you please write this hand down, I got Quads!"
From the CO with  6c 6d Ganesh makes it 3,200, Jamil Ogunmakinwa calls as does Chris Gill (no relation to myself).
Flop -  Tc 2d Ahrt
All players check
Turn -  6h
Gill bets 5,200, Ganesh calls, Jamil shoves for 20k. Gill calls, Ganesh reshoves, Gill folds.
Jamil -  Ac Ad, Ganesh with the turned set
River -  6s
Bink! Ganesh now on 130k.

10k in the middle on a 2h 5h 7s board.
Fields bets 5,500, Lovatt shoves for 40k. Fields makes the call.
Fields - Kh 7h .
Lovatt - 5c 6d .
Turn is a brutal 6c , river a blank.
Fields starts giggling and says "that's an even worse beat!" counting his chips whilst giggling.

Lovatt was shortish after losing with nut flush vs a boat to Ali Mallu.
Mallu now on about 240k, he told me "I'm due after the Monte Carlo. This time".
Mallu famous for building a huge stack on Day 1, then losing it early on Day 2.

Other than a previous flopped nuts flush just couldn't get going today and when I tried some moves they just didn't pay off.
Good luck to TK and all the blondes still in.

Almost 3 hours to get home in the snow there's some right idiots on the roads.

50k in the middle on 8h 5d 7h board.
Daniel Harrison shoves for 61,200, Ant Nicholls calls. Ant Poole ponders and the clock is called.
Harrision now stood up, ready to text the outcome of the hand to his friends whilst Poole still has the decision to make. Poole folds.
Harrison - 8c 8s .
Nicholls - 6c 9c .
Turn - Qc , River 7c makes Harrison go BOOM and more than doubles him up to about 170k.

2/3inches here on ungritted roads ( again) has caused mayhem

that is the problem!

the infrastructure should cope with this, particularly when forecast

Yet again it hasn't

Has it ever needed that much?

The roads are all gritted around Nottingham, they made a big song and dance about having extra stocks of grit this year.

I really don't get the hysteria about driving in it although I did live in Canada for a few years a long time ago.

The proble, lies with how people approach their driving. On my way back from DTD you had idiots driving way to fast who caused problems for other drivers, a couple of which ended up the wrong way on the M42. And on the otherhand there were the over cautious drivers who got stuck because they drive to bloody slowly.

Erm. Sorry to pull you up Ralph but you're just plain wrong on this one.

I've been out in it and didn't come across a single road that wasn't covered in snow.

+1  in general the level of driver ability is pathetic. So many incompetents have licenses ;tk;

They must've been bluffing on local news bulletins the last couple of days then.

'fraid so. Either that or this is a new type of snow that doesn't like to melt when it lands on salt.

Yeah just drove back 5.5 miles from DTD. Was doable, everyone was crawling at 15 mph.

Not a single road (including the A52) looked like it had been gritted.

agree with what someone said earlier, dont drive too fast and dont drive too slow, just be carefuil and keep mometum, its not fkn hard....

people shud be forced to do driving test in mock icey conditions as part of it....

might be more costly but would be worth it long run imo...
