Jamie Hurst made it thru but he's not on the player list?

Occasionally happens. Perhaps Hursty making day 2 did not compute on the system? I have just checked, he's on the list for today

Glenn Henderson has had a sensational first orbit or two

Tom Langley raises

Glenn 3 bets Q-Q

Garry Tordoff calls in the small blind

Langley comes along

3-3-4 flop and Tordoff open shoves

Langley passes

Henderson raises an eyebrow, arches a shoulder and shrug calls

Tordoff 9-9

Queens hold, Henderson up over 150,000

RED-DOG raises in the cut off with  5c 7c, both blinds being away from the table

the button calls, which I don't suppose was in the plan

flop  Aspades 2c Qc

RED shoves, is called by  Aspades 8h

9c on the turn doubles RED up to 80,000

£225 seems like a very small reward for min-cashing after laying out £168.

This!  Payout structure at DTD is for some reason much steeper than others (GUKPT, UKIPT and Genting included).  Needs to be flattened so it's similar to UKIPT in my opinion.

Flop -  5s 4s Qd.
Bingham check/calls a 15k bet from Goodall.
Turn -  4d.

Bingham calls fairly quickly with his 170k stack.
Goodall -  Ac Ad
Bingham -  4c 5c
River  5s means Bingham our chip leader on about 400k, Goodall on just 5k now.

Abdul Khan makes it 18,500
Mihael Corrigan shoves for 35k, showing pretty much the whole table his hand praying for no call.
For 17k more, Khan says " I Can't really pass here"
Before he says call Corrigan has his cards on their back.
Khan says "call, I'm live"
Corrigan -  Aspades Ks
Khan -  Jd Ts

Skippy sits two to their left and is in great shape.

Good luck to Tom Ambler, Lewis Mitchell and Garry Hallows. All Sheffield players but shame they are on the same table.
Also the best of luck to John Exley, another Sheffield player and a real gentleman of the game.

there are real people called Algernon?

He's a lovely bloke and it's pronounced Halgernon.

Obvioulsy not disputing his loveliness - reminds me of the Billy Connolly "uperclass" sketch - you know the "real upper class"

chipleader is David "Skippy" Craigon with over 600,000

Behind him Grand Prix winner Tommy Bingham and Shaun Pierrepoint.

Pierrepoint just won a nice pot off David Hide, calling a raise in the small blind, flopping an open ended straight draw against top pair, check calling, hitting on the turn..checked and a value bet was paid off on the river

Ambler min raises to 48,000

Tommy Bingham calls in the big blind

 8d 8h Qc

Bingham check calls 31,500

 2c

Bingham check calls 125,000

 Kd

Bingham checks again

Ambler bets a whopping 400,000

Bingham goes into the tank, agonises, a full range of facial expressions contorting his face over several minutes.

Has the clock called and lets the clock run down to 1 second before folding  4d 4c, very very close to calling

Ambler shows him  Aspades 6h

Bingham "I almost called, you weren't repping anything"

Ambler a 1.2m chip leader

This is the table for the stream when it starts, by the way

Bingham 52k with 600k back

Ambler 127k 3b the button

Bingham 280k 4 bet

Ambler passes

good battle this, should be going on screens now with a ten minute delay

How this will work

Your stream is on a ten minute delay.

You will see the 9 handed final shortly

I will report the first exit as it happens

there will then be a break as everyone moves to the TV table

Chip counts will be posted then

At that point Top ten will report the exits, and I hope you guys "talk the final" on here, assuming I am still required to commentate.

One time, no Rastafish beside me, ty DTD in advance

Blinds at 30k/60k

Pierrepoint raises to 150k utg with  Kc Jc
Buchannan in the BB with  Td 9d puts 90k in and we go to a flop.

Ahrt Kh Jh flop and Pierrepoint leads with a bet of 200k with 2 pair and Buchannan gets out of the way.

1st hand of the final table:

Short stack Charlie Wates with 210k looks down to pocket aces on the button. Blinds 15k/30k and he just about min raises. SB passes and BB David Craigon looks down to Kc Qc. He must have smelt a rat and folded pre.

Yeah, I don't think this hand happened, or if it did, it didn't happen to me.

Wates raises 135k with  7c 7d
Ambler flat calls with  Ks 8h

Check Check on a flop of  4s Th Aspades

Ambler sees weakness and leads out on a  9c turn but wates having none of it and goes over the top and shoves all in.
Ambler does the hollywood tank but eventually passes

Battle of the Blinds just took place.

Wates in the SB min raises with  Ks 9d and
Khan thinks he will have a look at the flop with  2s 3s

on a flop of  Th Js Qs it goes all in.

Wates having a flopped straight
Khan having a flush draw

Board runs out  Tc 8c and wates doubles up.

Khan on the button shoves for around 800k with  Kd Tc
Ambler in the SB holding  Ac 5h finds a call with the BB still to act behind him but the BB passes.

Board runs out:

 6h Kh Ts 6c Ks

Full house for Khan and now chip leader.

penultimate hand of the level:

Blind on Blind:

Buchannan in the SB open shoves all in with  Tc Jh
Pierrepoint in the BB with  Qc Js needs to put in 623,500 if he's calling.

Well he finds the call from somewhere and the board runs out like this  5d 6d 6c 8s 7d

A good call in the end by Pierrepoint and he knocks out Buchannan in 4th for £5,028

The 3 remaining players are now on a break.

Anyone who calls this internal combustion doesn't understand how good Ambler is!

This is a great call and is an unfortunate part of real MTT needs - You get in as many +EV situations as possible I genuinely believe he knew he was ahead as soon as Khan shoved and it took all that time for him to talk himself into taking the 'flip' as you all see it. Win : 57.05% Tie : 0.38%.

Its a sick call and he got unlucky.. I think he played great and that Khan and Wates both played solid but ran golden when they needed.  (Wates aipf AQ vs Sunny Mistri QQ on day 2 etc...)

Bingham, Ambler and Pierrepoint played really well and its a shame another DTD final table ends with the better players taking a smaller chunk.  Get me to a big one so I can get my best pokers out!

Gl to all and thanks to Tighty and Rob for the commentary and to all the DTD staff.

Just to clarify, I never claimed this call was due to "internal combustion" fatfish was just simply implying something I said previously. I know Tom and I know he his prone to the odd blow up but this hand in question or any of his play today doesnt warrant that label.

We all have our opinions and mine is that I could have easily laid that A 5 down, no problem. I could push with it but I couldnt see me calling with it. He's on the button the very next hand, why not carry on what he was doing best which was being aggressive in position rather than having to make hero calls that if he was wrong or was to lose the hand in question, it would leave him critical.

He was ahead. He obviously plays to win and if he felt he was ahead, has to call.

Really that simple imo.

In hindsight, its easy for some to say its an obvious call but if Im basically putting my tournament life at risk, Im always shoving and letting the others make the difficult decision rather than hero calling!!!

I don't agree with the comment of "plays to win" because don't we all?

The unfortunate thing for Tom is that he can't pass his cards, at the FT and as CL (I think?) it's time to lock up.

I haven't read through all the pages of this thread (probably about 5) and every page that I did read was full of a HH with Tom!

Well done to everyone who cashed!

i was always going to make the call with A5 when he shoved from the button haha... every1 with a clue knows its the right call.. whats sick was that it was going to effectivly cost me my tournament life if i lost.. hence the dwell up.

just to clarify for all of you that think it was a blow up.. A5 > K10 aipf...

also i dont know if you realise kenny he only jammed 10BBs... i had him marginally covered with 13BBs but its just a spot i can never pass in and have to sigh call..

great tournament tho, enjoyed re-reading updates.. hopefully i wont be skint when the next one comes along :P

Thanks M.

I know most of the people would have been watching the live stream, but for those not and for the players/people actually playing at DTD, it gives them something to read back on.
Plus its harder than it looked. Im posting a particular hand but whilst doing so, I can hear tighty thru my headphones talking about the following hand and that somebody has gone all in, so I have to flick back to the live stream and see if that hand needs reporting on.
