The monthly 500 Deepstack was launched at the beginning of 2012 in replace of the signature 300 Deepstack, which had been running each month since February 2008. In its first month the 500 Deepstack attracted 433 entries generating a £216,500 prize pool and a top prize of over £61,000!

With 30,000 chips, double the starting stack of its predecessor, and an increased prizepool, there's no wonder this event continues to be the most popular event each month.

The FA CUP has been disastrous for our £500 Deepstack guaranteed at £200,000, to break even we need 444 entries, so far on Day 1a we have only 144, late reg is until 9pm so will probably end up with re entries around 160 - 170 but that still means tomorrow will have to exceed expectations or we will end up with a huge overlay!!!

Tonight we also have a 15 seat guaranteed Mega Satellite into day 1b, due to the FA CUP i have pushed back the start time to 8.30pm with late reg till 11.10pm.

Last night we had to add £900 so tonight could be even better value!

All we can hope is that we get a huge turnout tomorrow, ideally need at least 200 players in addition to the 65 qualifers, sure the value hunters will be watching to see what we start with then start driving here for the overlay which will help reduce it.

Its hard to say anything except I ran pretty sweet in some ridiculous spots... coolered people a more than fair amount of times and still made a mistake or two.  Hero'd Alli Malu near the end and obv he rivered a weird flush... wp sir.

Other than that, lets take a decent stack through to day2 and see what I can do with it! ul Tom Langley, the guy played like a proper hero today and to get coolered by me when he puked as he put his chips in with KK's shows how good he is... (knows he can't fold but hated getting in KK vs me in 'that' particular spot)

The 250/500 and 500/1000 levels really do make a huge difference and the implementation of them along with the 2.5/5k etc was the only reason I played.
