Rob Yong spoke of the £150 as follows "I have to say this is the best weekly tourney we have every done in terms of format, obviously not in terms of prizepools, when were were down to 9 players the average was 45BB, and 30,000 enuf chips at the start to make a few mistakes. I love the 30/40 clock format, definitely an advantage to the better players, if I get back from UKIPT Dublin I think I'll play this £150 at the weekend to try the format myself. Obviously we won't win the prize for originality by using the WSOP main event blinds and ante structure, but at £150 (or £135 + £15), best comp we have ever done IMO" Of course there are competing attractions this weekend, from UKIPT to SCOOP to the Champions League final. Hopefully numbers will hold up and we'll have another corking event Please join me from 7pm tonight. Comely woman Anon decides to call with 8-6 despitre an under average stack, in the blinds She shoves 10-8-4, Q-Q snaps her off and hits a Q on the turn for good measure as that Anon battle is resolved once and for all in the lunatic's favour Meanwhile, as it plays, I have decided that Queen "Its a hard life" is sentimental tosh, and Queen's worst song. It has just gone off and been replced by Howard Jones. Soft soft for the blonde coiffured one. Title: Re: DTD £150 £50,000 Deepstack Mid-May :Day 1a Post by: TightEnd on May 19, 2012, 02:43:07 AM Paul Grummitt knocks out Pete Evans
Grummitt Jacks versus Ace-King suited Jacks hold on 5-6-7-8-6 From across the table comes a plaintive cry "oh no, I would have hit a full house" Not a great fan of those sort pf exclamations personally. There's a reason why you don't play 5-6 to a raise and a 3 bet shove sir. Unusual, no flurry of late exits Paul Grummitt has 300,000 and is certainly top 3 in chips. He just shoved over a Jamie Moult lateposition raise, eliciting a fold showing the Ace of Spades Umar Khan just shoved a flop of 4h 7h 8h as the pre-flop raiser against Wadey's big blind. Wadey think-folds and is shown "my favourite hand" 9c 7c Title: Re: DTD £150 £50,000 Deepstack Mid-May :Day 1a Post by: TightEnd on May 19, 2012, 03:40:45 AM How many of these can you recognise?
