Last weekend's event attracted 372 entries, won by David Trigg for over £14,000

Rob Yong spoke of the £150 as follows

"I have to say this is the best weekly tourney we have every done in terms of format, obviously not in terms of prizepools, when were were down to 9 players the average was 45BB, and 30,000 enuf chips at the start to make a few mistakes. I love the 30/40 clock format, definitely an advantage to the better players, if I get back from UKIPT Dublin I think I'll play this £150 at the weekend to try the format myself. Obviously we won't win the prize for originality by using the WSOP main event blinds and ante structure, but at £150 (or £135 + £15), best comp we have ever done IMO"

Of course there are competing attractions this weekend, from UKIPT to SCOOP to the Champions League final. Hopefully numbers will hold up and we'll have another corking event

Please join me from 7pm tonight.

Wakas Islam limps UTG for 300

Vittorio Carratu calls

Anon 1,600

Carla Goddard calls the raise on the button, bringing both the limpers along

The flop is wet wet wet

 Qc Jc 9c

Checked to the Anon raiser who leads for 2,200

Goddard bumps it up to 7,000

Her three opponents fold quicker than you could ever guess

The Sweet Little Mystery of what Goddard has is resolved when she flips  Jd Js for middle set

Adam Daniel is out

Amazingly, in Level 4 and 30,000 starting he is out holding an eight and a four

Daniel called in position after a limper then a raiser with 8-4

The Anon with whom he tangled earlier 3 bet the big blind with A-Q

All three limper/raisers call

A-10-4

Checked to Daniel who bet, A-Q calls

10 turn

checked to Daniel who shoves, and he's called by top two pair

Sometimes you just scratch your head,

Terry Mitford 800 at 150-300 UTG

Karl Grogan calls

Jamie Moult 2,100 in the cut off

Peter Meldrum 7,000 on the button

back to Mitford who makes it 15,000

All the effective stacks 30-35k here

Grogan and Moult fold

Meldrum calls

So we have a 110x bb pot here

 Jh 2d Ahrt

Mitford open shoves

Meldrum snaps him off

With  Ad 9h

Mitford stands up, exclaims the exclamation of exclaimer of the year and shows  Kc Ks

Ace-Nine holds, and Meldrum is our chipleader.

Sometimes you just scratch your head,

Terry Mitford 800 at 150-300 UTG

Karl Grogan calls

Jamie Moult 2,100 in the cut off

Peter Meldrum 7,000 on the button

back to Mitford who makes it 15,000

All the effective stacks 30-35k here

Grogan and Moult fold

Meldrum calls

So we have a 110x bb pot here

 Jh 2d Ahrt

Mitford open shoves

Meldrum snaps him off

With  Ad 9h

Mitford stands up, exclaims the exclamation of exclaimer of the year and shows  Kc Ks

Ace-Nine holds, and Meldrum is our chipleader.

Wadey thinks

asks him "have you got Aces?"

shrugs his shoulders, shoves comfortably covering his opponent

Bhandari has got himself pot stuck and calls all in with A-2

I do a double take

Yes, its A-2

1,000-2,000 blinds

Raj Dhiri limps UTG playing 20,000

Mark Holden limps playing 200,000

Debbie Fox limps playing 50,000

Paul Jenkinson playing 45,000 seizes on this limp fest and shoves 45,000

Dhri calls all in

Holden re-shoves all in. Uh oh

Fox folds

Dhiri  Kh 9h

Holden  Qh Qd

Jenkinson  Ks Qc

the flop hits Peejay square between the eyes

 Ts Jh Ac

The straight holds to knock out Dhiri, send Jenkison over 100,000 and take a fifth of Holden's stack

Anon on Anon action is normally unreportable

Well the Anon who was the chip leader earlier, and I never seen him before tonight, is a loose goose

He raises with 7-7

Lady Anon who now outchips him 3 bets J-J

Man Anon calls

flop 10-6-9

Man Anon check shoves and is called

turn 7 to double Man up. Lady not happy

Anon we go.

Naini?

Qh 8h

flop  Qc  2h 7h

turn  Kh

I've seen happier people than Stockham, to be frank

Naini doubles up

Rip it up and start again.....

38 of 147 left

Average 142,000

Blinds 1500-3000

Chip leader Waheed Ashraf with a whopper. 400,000

I have put Jamie Moult on tilt as Wadey got my football trivia question before he did

Expect Jamie to be out soon, such is his shame

So Lonely by The Police now. White reggae. Before Sting became a tosser.

As no one is reading, I will admit to buying the 7 inch single of De Doo doo doo, de da da da by The Police once

Mad Man Anon, who is driving his table to the wall by playing 9-5 and 10-3 and hitting this time has a hand, and raises with Q-Q

Comely woman Anon decides to call with 8-6 despitre an under average stack, in the blinds

She shoves 10-8-4, Q-Q snaps her off and hits a Q on the turn for good measure as that Anon battle is resolved once and for all in the lunatic's favour

Meanwhile, as it plays, I have decided that Queen "Its a hard life" is sentimental tosh, and Queen's worst song.

It has just gone off and been replced by Howard Jones. Soft soft for the blonde coiffured one.

Paul Grummitt knocks out Pete Evans

Grummitt Jacks versus Ace-King suited

Jacks hold on 5-6-7-8-6

From across the table comes a plaintive cry

"oh no, I would have hit a full house"

Not a great fan of those sort pf exclamations personally. There's a reason why you don't play 5-6 to a raise and a 3 bet shove sir.

Ian Gascoigne shoves 50,000 with A-J

Mark Robert calls all in with A-7 in the small blind

Joseph Cockburn wakes up with J-J in the big blind, calls all in too

120,000 main pot, scooped by Jacks

Gascoigne short, open shoves 10-9 next hand, reshoved by Babak Naini with A-Qss

5-3-8-7-6 and Gascoigne doubles back up with a clench of the fist and a David Hirst like pout

Still 31 left with a few minutes to go

Unusual, no flurry of late exits

Paul Grummitt has 300,000 and is certainly top 3 in chips. He just shoved over a Jamie Moult lateposition raise, eliciting a fold showing the Ace of Spades

Umar Khan just shoved a flop of  4h 7h 8h as the pre-flop raiser against Wadey's big blind. Wadey think-folds and is shown "my favourite hand"  9c 7c
